From image quality alone, I don’t think there is much of a difference. The main upgrade of the NEX-6 is the viewfinder, but you lose the flip-up screen.
This is probably way under the bridge wow, it only takes black and white jpegs? Maybe you should have let us review the camera for you instead of the other way around. The Sony menu system is pretty terrible. Obviously you have some setting wrong. When in doubt reset to factory settings and start over.

Is this camera great for UA-cam live steaming and Instagram photos?
You probably wouldn’t want to use it for livestreams because it doesn’t have a clean hdmi output.
