@@Kyle_almighty1 i've never heard of that so I'm really not sure but this Paint has been holding up until this day without a single wear mark on it being used by me and the guy I sold the car to as a daily driver
Yes sir I’m doing great I appreciate the comment and I hope you’re doing well also. Stay tuned because I’m about to kick it into gear on the Ford. I have a two month deadline to get it on the road and reliable and ready to drive about three hours up into Pennsylvania.
Fair enough. The Chevy was my daily driver for about 2 years after I painted the wheel. The guy I sold the car to still drives it all the time and the wheel looks just as good as it did the day I put it back on. Paint prep and thin layers are key
I appreciate you watching and it's definitely a good point. I thought the same thing about the rattle can paint. I daily drove it for years and it looked just as good when I sold it as the day I painted it. I'm actually about to do the wheel on my shoebox the same way with the same paint
I sold the car about 7 or 8 months ago but it still looked great. My '49 Ford coupe has a white steering wheel I'll be doing the same job to in the near future so subscribe and keep an eye out
I'm going with 2k on my shoebox when I do the wheel. this one looked exactly the same as it did the day I painted it after 2 years of daily driving so it held up pretty well
@@ninja63639 oh nice. Ya 2k is the bomb. If you have a paint supply store, as then for a 2 part rattle can. They’re around $30 and they can color match. We use Endura here in canada. Awesome paint quality from a can.
I like the job you did, I am reliving my youth watching you. In 65 my buddy had a 50 just like your 51. Solid car
I'm glad to hear it. Stay tuned because theres plenty more coming up
Did the paint look crappy after use with no clear coat?? Like finger prints and stuff
wouldn't angelus black leather paint have been easier to use and more effective?

@@ninja63639 awesome man! 50 fleetline and 51 2 door coop.... lots of work lol
I tried to find a 50 or 51 Chevy coupe before I bought the Ford coupe, but I had no luck
Nice!👍
Thanks man now I need to do the one in the shoebox
I don’t like the rustoleum 2x paint. Have never had such bad luck with spray paint.

for best result, use «urethane paint with hardener, rattle can is a poor quality to use where the friction of the hands is involved.

How did the paint hold up? I’m thinking about using the same paint on my 53 210
It actually held up really well. I just sold the car. It lost a little bit of the shine since I daily drove it but other than that it was good to go
Well how long did it last???? Is it still good?

Spend the money and buy 2K paint. The paint fails because it’s non catalyzed spray bomb
