Can you run a Chevy split six with Lake Pipes?
@@caddyman7725 for sure. Once you split the manifold it's three and three. You just have to find a good way to get from the manifold under the frame to the side of the car. This car was going into some driveways I would scrape the transmission crossmember so pipes under the frame were a no go
Hello mate, I did not understood very well, but you meant that the racing exhaust is making the bike slower in the lower rpms and not as much agressive as with OEM exhaust? Thanks in advance!
@@nikolaipetrov5390 thanks for watching. So when you put on a new muffler or especially a full system, it makes the bike run much worse. You Have to get it tuned for the a/f ratio to be correct. Most people don't notice because they don't ride hard. In my case, besides that my Thermostat was stuck opened so I was constantly in warm up mode and running crazy rich.
@@ninja63639 thank you brother, hopefully soon I will be owner of K1-2 750 and this is good to know. Ride safe!
@@nikolaipetrov5390 yes sir you too. Actually got rid of mine so I can get a 1000 but now I'm thinking CBR-rr

nice drive, now I know what the view was coming home from the hospital in 52, my Dad bought a 49 brand new.His next was a 54 Monterrey , black with the red metallic thread interior. also a Y block column shifter.
It’s not hard to make the thing run smooth. It’s a balanced motor to begin with…. Your pertronix ignition is why your rpm isn’t reading right. You searching for a screw driver shows you know nothing. Wearing gloves. Come on buddy. You are an idiot
Hey man, little late but could you give me the name or link for the stock adapter wires you used in this to pair with the LEDs. The previous link you posted in another comment isn’t working. Would appreciate it, thanks

@@bt3544 I can't even give that comment a heart man. Can you imagine a flathead trying to push an AC compressor. It only has 100 hp as is
The one on the left is actually broken. Right side is actually working properly.
@@RodSerling-y6p I think it's supposed to flip all the way around like the one on the driver side does. At least my '54 and '51 Chevys and my Jeep YJ flipped all the way around. I know it's supposed to be tight and not loose like it is but the passenger side only moves about 3 inches and stops which isn't right

Nice job Chris. I just put 4 sets of lap belts in my 51 Vicky a couple of months ago. Defiantly better than without them.
Hey whats up chris would you happen to have a part number on thag scott drake voltage reducer ,thats a cool idea to use on my other shoebox i have ,i was gonna use 6 volt to 12 volt doides but this seems like a less headache, so all you would do is joint the 12 volt and connect all the gauges id want on the cluster yes?
Thanks man. I can try and find the part number but from what I remember it was an early 60s Mustang unit
Damn, I used to tear this brew up.
I was always an OE guy but this was my second choice
I've got one that runs like that too, mine's in my 40 pickup. A piece of advice, wire in an electric puller fan, ditch the belt driven fan. Temps stay much more consistent and you can get a touch more power without the parasitic loss.
@@markk3652 I'm definitely considering it. I was looking at Spal but I'm not 100% sold on it yet

Thanks brother. The timing was about 20 degrees retarded and I had no idea. If you check out my other videos you'll see what it sounded like but I've never heard a flathead in person so I didn't know that it was completely off lol
Thanks for these videos I'm gonna start to rewire my shoebox I purchased a cost efficient 6 circuit fuse box I hope it's pretty straight forward, was this a big project for you? What do you recommend I lookout for to make things run smooth Thanks!
@@sonnyskustoms it was pretty involved but the way the harness was labeled made it pretty straight forward. I made a bunch of changes so mine was a little trickier than it needed to be but it wasn't hard at all. The main thing I wish I did differently was to put the fuse panel where the driver side air vent is. I want to run a firewall master cylinder but the fuse panel is exactly in the same spot it needs to go in
@ninja63639 sweet alrighty I'm gonna probably start this up soon Thanks for the reply, was it hard to pull out the dash board? I heard you have to loosen the steering column support bracket to have clearance? 🤔
@@sonnyskustoms nah man it was easy. You have to pull the trim around the inside of the windshield and then the Phillips screws across the top of the dash (label which goes where because they're different lengths). The steering column nuts are half inch and it's a u bolt that goes around the top of the steering column. There are two bolts with nuts on the lower corners that I think are also half-inch. There is the eBay candle and I'm pretty sure the nuts and bolts on there half inch as well. Then of course all the wiring and the speedo cable
@ninja63639 For sure I'll be very careful in planning everything out for this project, Was everything for wiring up the gauges pretty simple ? I believe you uploaded a video on that yes?
@@sonnyskustoms yep I did. Check them all out. From what I remember I do a pretty thorough explanation of everything
Great progress Bruh! What size tires you running? Just fyi... in the rear, the length of your shackles play a big part in ride height & bounce.
They're 205/70s. I ended up running the 4" dropped leaves and a pair of 2" home made blocks. It sits perfect. It's crazy because I'm not running any rear shocks but it doesn't bounce around at all like I expected it to
@ninja63639 my plan was to run 205/65 r15 in the back, to keep it budget friendly because I already have a pair of G78-15 (2.75" whitewall) for the front. I don't want any issues with the fender skirts. You think 65's would be too small ?
@@CHUYTHEGREASER what rear are you running? I have an s10 rear in mine with a set of spacers but it's the exact width that the stock rear was. I'm using the stock wheels and I can fit my Foxcraft skirts on with plenty of room to spare.
@ninja63639 running stock rear with 66 mustang engine & trans. I can't find foxcrafts skirt anywhere so I just ordered the regular (3 rib) ones from shoebox central. Waiting to see what kind of clearance issues I'll have once they arrive.
@CHUYTHEGREASER you should be fine since they overlap as opposed to being flush mounted
Shift into 3rd already

You can tell she’s 6 volt
It's 12 with a full new wire harness, nos gauges, electric fuel pump and pertronix ignition
@@ninja63639 wow. Something ain’t right then.
What makes you say that
@@ninja63639you legit did the basic car guy formula. Took a torch to the springs took a spring or two out of the rear end. Perhaps flipped the springs to make it lower. Turned a cool car into a jalopy pretty fast. Oh and it’s not hard to make a car like that move on its own power by replacing parts. Once you start rebuilding things on your own you’ll get to the big boy status until then you’re a little peon with the ability to swap parts
@danokerr9929 haha do I know you or do you just like talking shit online like a female? Did you watch any of the other videos to see what I actually did? Nah probably not so good ahead and keep doing what you do big guy
I had a 1955 Chevy Belair with the 235 6 cyl engine in it. There is no sweeter sound than the 6 with split manifold with a set of glass packs on it. You can recognize the sound from a long way off. The great sound of the Chevy 6 when it goes through the gears, there is none like it. I like it so much better than the 8 cyl which sounds good too but the 6 beats it out for the sound. It really snaps.
As soon as I did the duals my gas mileage tanked. I couldn't stay off the gas pedal
My Dad had a '49 ford he ran at Baylands, in Fremont CA, in the 60's and early 70's. His flathead was so dialed in that the announcer at the races introduced him as, "Here's that '49 Ford Coupe with the 350 Chevy!". That made my Dad's night, that his Ford Flathead was making people believe he was running a small block Chevy.
Hell yeah man that's awesome

Sure steady progress is the key to your success. I suggest you postpone the frame notch, clear up minor things and reward your self by going to the next show. Very fine job on the mustang tank. Does the tank need venting? Keep up the good 👍👍👍👍 work
Than you sir. It definitely needs a vent but the one I'm buying from Tanks Inc comes with a nipple for it. I'm definitely holding off on the Notch for now but that will be getting done as soon as the car shows over and I get back from vacation.
I used to drink St. Ides a lot back in the day, it's my favorite out of the malt liquor family. Once you get to the crooked "I" on the inside of the bottle, that's when the buzz starts to kick in haha. Great post🤘
