No discipline at all. Gun jammed. Both of them made HUGE mistakes and the only reason he didn't shoot his teammate in the back is because his gun jammed at that exact moment.
1. Shoot at your friend. Gun jam so he survived. 2. Keep firing like an idiot over your friends head. If I were one laying there knowing the guy behind me is shooting at me I would switch side in the fucking war.
There's a bunch of critics in the comments but as an Infantryman I can tell you that these boys reacted quickly and correctly in that moment. Returned fire got cover or concealment and communicated well. It could have went terrible. War is hell! Follow me!
Incredible muzzle discipline by the POV to, not only react to contact by suppressing fire, but to also lay off the trigger when a teammate's reaction was to cross his line of fire. Incredible team member, incredible awareness
@@ZaMonolith1986 Any sane army usually has a 90 degree total forbidding of shooting, meaning you can never shoot if a friend is within 90 degree (45 each side) of fire angle. Are you kidding? The gun jammed, and shooting over your friends head should result to him in jail. It was pure luck that he didn't shoot his friend.
@@guitarjacob1237 LMAO "JAIL"
@@ZaMonolith1986 Any sane army usually has a 90 degree total forbidding of shooting, meaning you can never shoot if a friend is within 90 degree (45 each side) of fire angle. @@guitarjacob1237 shit changes when you have nowhere to take cover and have 2 choices,
Choice A, stand there and be shot dead by taliban.
Choice B, rush to cover, even though your homie is shooting,
My point being, in the fog of war, there is not time to react rationally, I get that you train for this sort of issue, but sometimes its as simple as standing in the wrong spot, or shooting to keep the enemy down so he doesnt kill you even as your friend is running in front of you. Its war, shit happens. Aint gonna go to jail though lol
@@ZaMonolith1986 The US troops usually have like 1 month of weaponstraining. Would never happen in a sane army. It's instint and is taught from day one, every day, all day. Have never seen this problem happen to any other army than the US or some third world country.
The soldier standing up firing while the other members take cover seems incredibly invincible. He's literally standing and shooting! For a second I wondered if this was training practice or a simulation. Either way this takes a lot of guts that most people don't possess.
