We Tried BOAT LIFE for 72 Hours (Is it for us?)

- This week we tried #boatlife for the very first time! As newbies we had to learn the ropes (pun intended) we both learned how to drive, navigate, moor and sleep on the boat for 72 hours.
We were a little worried how this would go as Aimee can get quite boat sick, but as we were on the Scottish lochs, there wasn't a wave in sight and we honestly had the trip of a lifetime.
On this trip we sailed the Caledonian canal on the Great Glen Way. An absolutely stunning part of the Scottish highlands.
We left from Inverness and made out way all the way down to Fort Augustus - where we had to use our new found skills on the 6 flight locks! (We had help don't worry!)
The full length of the canal is around 60 miles and usually ends in Fort William.
It was so exciting to be able to take this HUGE boat out on Loch ness by ourselves - a dream trip and we were lucky enough to get the best weather for it! Seeing Scotland via boat is such a different perspective - We would highly recommend it and it you're nervous about the boat - don't be!

Absolutely love how excited Aimee gets when seeing animals! What makes this channel so great is that Aimee and Craig have traveled the world but still appreciate everything, every view, every kindness, every experience and that is what makes them a joy to watch!
You guys are the most hilarious pair! It's not like I don't get many laughs watching Kara&Nate, Eamon&Bec or Endless Adventure, but the two of you... You are comedians!

I moved to Drumnadrochit 17 years ago from the South Coast of England, and every year I've said I want to hire a Caley Cruiser. This video has just made me so jealous and even more determined to do it. I absolutely love living in the Highlands and can't imagine living anywhere else now. It is an awesome place, the people friendly and there is so much to see and do, you will love living in Scotland ❤
I think this was one of my fav episodes! Between the WWF Panda/folding chair shirt Craig had on, Aimee and her Highland Coooos, Whiskey/Metallica and the the cream vs jam discussion at the end I will watch this episode again. As a Cornish lady jam is always first on a scone!! Clotted cream needs to be nice and thick and dolloped on top of the layer of jam.

OMG Aimee! I so hope your dream wedding comes true. My parents moved to Scotland a couple of years ago and its just the most beautiful place in the world. Around the same time my husband and I got married, but as it was during the pandemic, we were unable to have a wedding. Next year we are finally going to celebrate our marriage with a party at my parents house - including the marquee, lots of sheep, and a highland cow! We are going full Bilbo Baggins 111th birthday-esque type of party 😂. So excited to see your future adventures and wishing you all the happiness in the world!
We decided van life was not for us, so in 2015 we went to Heidelberg Germany and bought a 8.5m 4 berth motorboat called Nessie. Spent 4 nights there and went down the Neckar & Rhine to a lift out. Had it trucked to La Rochelle, France, our new port. Re-registered & renamed Sans Souci (translates to no worries or carefree) longest we spent on board is 10 nights and no fights ! It's boat life for us.
Scotland was on my list for a long time and finally visiting in 2021 was a highlight of that whole year - the whole country is like a fairy tale and the people are just the best! I can understand why you`d want to live there. Good luck in finding your dream home!
