Trev you're so authentic with your anxiety, and that helps me immensely with mine. I have extremely bad PTSD and the fact that you're so honest about your anxiety and thoughtful about it helps me with mine. I know being raw and vulnerable is not easy, but thank you. You have no idea how much that helps others that suffer from extreme anxiety as well. You inspire me, and other than the fact I love watching both of you together (you're both perfect for each other and I love watching that), I keep coming back to watch your innocent honesty about it.

@@kingingit I'm so glad you did it though! I've been dreaming about hooking up with my cousin in South Africa for a safari as well. Not sure if its the full moon or life, or seeing the Gorilla's and your reaction to it but I just burst out crying. I went to Uganda and did the same tour years ago...and I know that feeling of being in absolute awe of these beautiful creatures. I also got a key ring, and a mask that proudly sits on my wall at home to this day that was bought by the light of two nokia mobile phone (they didnt have power after dark) after half a bottle of wine in anticipation of the 'big walk' in the morning. Very happy memories recalled back watching this. I would encourage everyone to visit Uganda. The people were so friendly and open, and being able to support the conservation of these magnificent animals for the future generations was humbling. xx.

Each family of gorillas only gets one visit a day and only for one hour. They are very strict about it. Without the money that tourist gorilla trekking permits provide, they would probably already be extinct. (Mountain gorillas cannot live in captivity.)

Good question, all the gorilla families here in Uganda get visited once a day only in the morning and early afternoon, they are actually habituated before tourists start visiting them, win-win for tourists and conservation efforts.

I’m a fairly jaded 35+ year feature film AD, and usually spend 7-8 months a year on the road. The great thing about making movies (vs commercials) is that I get to go to that place, whether it’s Cincinnati or Luxembourg for 3-4 months at a time and really get to absorb local culture. For a career, that part is a gift. As for you two, I discovered you during lockdown 2020, and have loved seeing your camera work, editing, music cues, and overall production values grow exponentially. Really. I’m a harsh critic of filmed things, but I always smile watching your vids, so the visceral reaction is working. Well done ❤

Thanks so much for your channel and your travels. I am 70 and have broken my back in my 60’s so I no longer move with ease. I now enjoy your travelogues instead of my own. Your joy for life and the way you embrace your surroundings is what I find so endearing. Happy trails! Best gorilla experience .

This entire video was simply AMAZING!! I would LOVE to do this and was thinking to myself that even if I had the money I wouldn't be physically able to go on a long trek looking for gorillas. It's SO cool that they accommodate you even if you're unable to physically do it! Thanks for sharing such a wonderful video! I'm one of the ones living vicariously through you!

Fantastic filming, it felt totally immersive. You can feel the high vibes coming from the people of Uganda 🇺🇬 and yourselves Craig & Aimee 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. Seeing the animals, and to be so close to them was amazing and so brave. Well done to Aimee for not letting anxiety rule your world!

As someone who lives vicariously through your travels and experiences, thank you for taking a moment to talk to us from the heart, Aimee. There are so many of us that suffer on a daily basis from the very thing she mentioned, and it means the world that you dedicated this video to us. Sending much love and safe travels to you and Craig. 💛 from Michigan 🇺🇸

Aimee, this one definitely made me cry for many reasons. I’ve had chronic pain and disability since I was 12. Your honestly in how you truly felt to go on the gorilla adventure was so refreshing to see; and brave for you to show us. I really love watching all of your adventures because I can’t get there myself. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your disability/mental health/chronic illness inclusion in this video! You are absolutely the best and so appreciated! 🙏🏻

I am in Uganda now (arrived Feb 10/24 to Feb 19/24) and have had the most amazing time. I have some friends in Kasese who welcomed me into their home. Thanks to them, I have experienced aspects of Ugandan culture that most tourists miss! I'm preparing for the gorilla trek and am thankful for this vid in preparing me for an exciting adventure!
