I hope we get a gameplay trailer in August and release date in September. Fall/Autumn begins September 22nd, so we should get Heihachi and the story DLC in 2 months. I'm hoping that's the case.

Yeah, it felt lazy and unimaginative when Capcom did it and it is lazy here too. At least the cheesy roboheihachi idea had more effort to it. Even the zombie solution SNK once pulled off with Geese was better imo. Having him return like grandpa Jinpeaches would have been cooler than 'I was alive this whole time, again'.
With electric powers and his moves ? And also the same chest scar ? Lidia’s father also looked old enough to be her grandpa and lidia looked 15 in that picture, i doubt he would be alive and in shape like that

I think he was rushed out of the door little bit early in my opinion since reception of Lidia was very poor globally. No gameplay trailer and low res monk motion trailer and mix match of things that is in Lidia story to justify why she was out before Heihachi is bit off putting. I bet Lidia part got nothing to do with the whole Heihachi thing. I also think that Hei was meant to get out on either first or last of next year's DLC after getting introduced in this new story arc. Harada was being very reactive towards community being really negative towards Tekken lately and best fix was to bring our old man back. (Also Capcom bringing vega back, and getting Terry. Gultiy getting Lucy must've hit em hard)
nah bro they just don't make a a whole story expansion in 3 months. scenes from this story expansion were shown even during the Lidia reveal. this was all planned.
i don't think lidia's reception was 'bad' seems to be more of an echo chamber syndrome. heichi and bison "resurrecting" are way too close to be retconned for heichi. anything rushed would be for the sake of revealing a new character at evo. there's definitely some kind of marketing strategy about revival of nostalgic characters that both games tapped into at the same time. one of the games was gunna do it first and the other would look like a copy cat
SPOILER: I see everyone saying that Heihachi survived the T7 ending. He didn't. This is obviously a top secret cloning project done by monks of Mishima Zaibatsu. When OG Heihachi was falling off the volcano, his consciousness was transferred to the clone body using the power of devil gene giving rise to this younger version of Heihachi. Also, Reina is the daughter of one of the now deceased Heihachi clone which didn't manifest devil powers. This in turn makes Reina a kind of a grand daughter for this Heihachi. This also makes Reina specially gifted with the use of devil powers and Mishima style. So much so, that she can use all the Mishima powers without training for a single day in her life. These events makes it seem that Heihachi somehow returned. Jin will fight new Heihachi and Jin will die from exhausting all his devil powers. Reina will eventually defeat new Heihachi. She will then visit Jin's original home that was burnt to the ground, and she will take his gloves and last name calling herself Reina Kazama.
