So a cousin of Kenshi instead of his son, and though not a telepath, he still has a fighting style of the Shirai Ryu, brief as it was. Still his ultimate goal is his pursuit after the Red Dragon, albeit his own version of purification rather than vengeance. The biggest difference of all is him going about it alone rather than with a parent or being surrounded by friends around his age. A "What if" version of a previous incarnation if i ever saw one.

Mk 1 Takeda is more vicious and cold hearted but still kind enough not blind ambitious like Bi Han did. He prefer to work alone, rouge type and no interest being in Shirai Yu

Kung Jin was already confirmed to be in this timeline. But unless they mention that Cassie is Chris's kid instead of Sonya's, we're probably not gonna get any mentions of Cassie any time soon.
Jin already exists. Cassie... is a bit iffier. Some of the datamined intros reveal that she's still Johnny's daughter but, unless it's a time-displaced Cassie, it'll be hard to explain.
Honestly they'd have to do a very hard reboot of every character, especially Cassie since she has no interesting characteristics other than having Johnny's personality.

We're talking about a dude that condemned people like Shang Tsung to a poor and miserable life and then was surprised that they would try to escape that fate. He essentially sentenced people for crimes they did not commit and had Shang Tsung or someone called him out on this, I don't think he would have a sufficient answer. Think about it: why sentence someone they you see as a potential threat to a life of squalor instead of one of discipline and integrity? Imagine if Shang Tsung was placed in the Shaolin as a kid. If he was given the proper training and nurture. Is Liu Kang truly so short sighted that he doesn't see this? I would say no, as he gave Mileena- someone who has caused a lot of harm- a favorable position in life. I just think MK's writing could be stronger than it has been recently.
I’m gonna disagree and mention that Shang Tsung still could’ve sought power despite being taught by Shaolin, at the end of the day it would’ve been his choice on what he chooses to do.
9 Years Later and Parry Shen still has that Same Energy and Charisma Takeda Takahashi has with a New Fresh of Paint as Kenshi’s Cousin than his Son, I’m glad my Theory of the Red Dragons being the Puppeteers Pulling the Strings of the Yakuza brings new Layers to this Universe and when you think about it, Takeda is basically the Same lone Wolf Kenshi was in the Original/3D Era Timeline, although I don’t know how to feel about him leaving the Shirai Ryu Early but I can see him returning in the Future as he’s Hanzo’s Big Brother, his Actions could affect the Clan if not Careful, and maybe with Jacqui Established in the Dialogues we could see this Romance happening, the Question on this is if she’s Jax’s Daughter or Sister?
I can see syzoth and takes a being really good friends in this universe. I hope they adapt on it in the future and make them a good duo throughout the story

I found that fascinating! This combined with Takeda’s arcade ending imply that on some level, the story of Armageddon still exists in the new era, and I would love to see it explored further
So this means Rain might still be a son of Argus (assuming that is still Daegons father) it's ironic Rain doesn't know about Taven since he first met and fought him in MKA.

@@FatinChibi That was for the the previous 2 eras. Up until this intro dialogue it was assumed Rain was no longer a son of Argus (he might still not be if Daegon is someone else's kid) it sure as hell wasn't even hinted at that he had any siblings either in MK1.

Jin already exists. Cassie... is a bit iffier. Some of the datamined intros reveal that she's still Johnny's daughter but, unless it's a time-displaced Cassie, it'll be hard to explain.

Lowkey, I wished the game actually dove into Liu Kang's meddling with people's destiny's and lives. We're talking about a dude that condemned people like Shang Tsung to a poor and miserable life and then was surprised that they would try to escape that fate. He essentially sentenced people for crimes they did not commit and had Shang Tsung or someone called him out on this, I don't think he would have a sufficient answer.
Think about it: why sentence someone they you see as a potential threat to a life of squalor instead of one of discipline and integrity? Imagine if Shang Tsung was placed in the Shaolin as a kid. If he was given the proper training and nurture. Is Liu Kang truly so short sighted that he doesn't see this? I would say no, as he gave Mileena- someone who has caused a lot of harm- a favorable position in life.
I just think MK's writing could be stronger than it has been recently.
I’m gonna disagree and mention that Shang Tsung still could’ve sought power despite being taught by Shaolin, at the end of the day it would’ve been his choice on what he chooses to do.

9 Years Later and Parry Shen still has that Same Energy and Charisma Takeda Takahashi has with a New Fresh of Paint as Kenshi’s Cousin than his Son, I’m glad my Theory of the Red Dragons being the Puppeteers Pulling the Strings of the Yakuza brings new Layers to this Universe and when you think about it, Takeda is basically the Same lone Wolf Kenshi was in the Original/3D Era Timeline, although I don’t know how to feel about him leaving the Shirai Ryu Early but I can see him returning in the Future as he’s Hanzo’s Big Brother, his Actions could affect the Clan if not Careful, and maybe with Jacqui Established in the Dialogues we could see this Romance happening, the Question on this is if she’s Jax’s Daughter or Sister?
