Acrylic pouring: Fluid art
My pouring medium used for my current work is a pre mix of 70% “Mont marte clear craft glue and 30% warm water, (most pva glues can be made up with same ratios to make a pouring medium), I add my pouring medium to my paint slowly until I achieve the consistency of pouring cream, approximately 50/50 more pm if needed.
My paint brands mostly used are the Mont marte studio acrylics, dimensions, or pouring paints, Boom Gel stain.
When iv mixed my paints I add 2-4 drops maximum of Helmar silicone, also Australian made, I stir in well.
I always like to mix up my paints and add silicone the day before I’m going to paint, and cover with a damp cloth, as I have found I have much better results.

Prosze wlazyc tlumaczenie po polsku.Jest to tak piekne ze chciala bym wiedziec dokladnie jak to zrobić.👍👋👋💪👍
So very disappointed to see so many thumbs down on this video 😪 I have a fair idea of why and who incited it and it makes my blood boil! When I first noticed some "dislikes" on yr videos was shocked but now I've learnt that this actually puts yr videos further down in the search 🤬 How low can people stoop? Just shows how bloody fantastic you are Gilly and how much if a threat you are seen as 😔💕💕💕
what is the contraption you are using to blow this out with. when I first saw you lay these colors out I didn't think I was going to like it but WOW! I love it

It was so great to hear you talking about my tip of flipping over the canvases. You’ve given me so much inspiration and instruction. But more than that, you’ve given me courage with color choices and now I’m making my best pieces ever. It feels good to have given back this tiny tip. Not comparable at all but feels good. I adore your work and your channel. Thanks again!
Lori Fouquette it’s was you 🥰🥰 thank you 😊
I’m so happy your loving your own work 🥰
'Just like a child when I do my art' How Amazing!!! If only we could all be so excited and absorbed by what we do!!! This is so creative and fun!
A White certainly is, I love my escape 🤩😆
I think they all came out great, the first one was so vibrant but even the last one which was more textural was nice in its own way too.
When i am doing the pours that I do, i always keep a tub somewhere handy with either acrylic key-chain blanks or glass cabochons oh even coasters or small wooden squares which I will dip into the areas of unused paint and then turn into jewelry and when I do my craft fairs and sales etc I have some items that might be on a lower price point compared to the canvases to offer people.
The other benefit is because its pour off from a already used project its literally costing you pennies to produce these extra pieces, some nice packaging and a label and you have a nice little side gift to offer. Just an idea
Reuben Schembri great ideas, many thanks 😊 appreciate
Lovely colours, encouraged to excite the eye, and fill the head with wonder.
Love this round dip. I also love how cheery you are.
I came looking for this video, it will be my first acrylic pour. I have been watching videos for weeks and started ti gather supplies and then I just stopped, in fear. then I remembered this video which I had watched 3 times and loved. So I am going for it. Thank you for your inspiration.
Oh great 👍🏼 just go for it and enjoy 😉
So much fun doing these dips. No two are alike. Thank you so much!
The colors are absolutely stunning. I love your videos. Now I have to get the right paint. You are an inspiration to me. Your work is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for everything.
Thank you so much!
Absolutely beautiful! Great technique. Thanks for sharing your gift 💜
I love your dips. I have been have a bad time pouring lately, nothing comes out good. Many epic fails. I think I’m going to do your dip technique!! Hopefully this will give me my mojo back!! Thank-You Gilly!! You are a wonderful teacher and I feel now you are my friend. 🤗♥️
Elaine McCubbin Gerstner maybe just take a little bit of time away from your art and try again after a break 😅
I have those weeks too 🤩
Oh my!!!! All three paintings are GORGEOUS!!!!!
Thank you so much ☺️
Love this, haven't seen it before. Going to try it with my granddaughter. Thank you.
I love those dips! Even the square canvas even if it seems fuzzy a bit! Just beautiful bright colors!
My jaw dropped with these dips... just stunning!!
I love your work gilly & look forward to seeing more. Your heating tool is called a heat 🔫 gun, I love using them for many of my crafts as well as heating and blowing cells or blowing out bubbles.
Absolutely Stunning❗❗❗
Even that 3rd canvas came out beautiful‼
You are such a hoot! You give me the giggles every time I watch one of your tutorials! I love this technique! I enjoyed the first one. Really like the second one and lived the third! I was thinking to myself that if I were doing this I would keep going till all my paint was used up. More out of curiosity than anything else to see how each one would turn out. As you say, "Have fun with it. It's just paint!" Ideas, ideas, ideas!
Great idea! Made me think, why not use the balloons to take the leftover paint and create flowers and fairies on another canvas? I did something similar with a triptych (sp?) I did swipes on two then the third is a white base that I transferred my balloon dips to from the swipes. Turned out cute!
@@MooseKrazysFlowingCanvas I went to your channel to find this work. Did you video tape it? I was so looking forward to seeing what your results were! 😀
Kaycy Ruffer thank you 😊 I’m happy if you enjoyed and was inspired 🤩🤩

Ooh WOWSERS!!! Gilly those are phenomenal. I love the bubble dips. Those colors are gorgeous. Loved that journey! If you ever decide to do another one would you try these colors. Teal. Light aqua. Light pink. Medium pink. White. Crimson and navy. I think they’d make a beautiful dip. Or a phenomenal swipe n kiss. You’ve got my mind working over time. Lol. Have an awesome day sweet Gilly. 👍👏🌹❤️
Laura Riner thank you ☺️ I’ll try, but love you to try too 🤗🤗🤗

So crazy how one pour can create three beautiful canvases. Great technique Gilly . My husband even watched with me this morning just to see what all the hubbub is about . Happy I could introduce him to you this morning over coffee. Thank you . You are such fun to watch . Love your excitement.
linda luersen aww thanks 😊 hopefully he enjoyed your joy 🤩🤩
Love this. I am going to try and do it myself. Thank you for sharing
En Español por favor
That is beautiful! I so wanted to see you rotate the canvas as you lifted it... I would have loved to see what resulted. Thanks for sharing with us!
You are taking my breath away. You should have heard me ooooooooing and awwwwwwwing. Wow, just, WOW!
Goodness gracious…I am simply blown away by this…Thanks a lot..
The holes add character to the dip. Some of them looked like you had various birds peeking out between the other colours!
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing the good ideas.
Well I just love how they turned out. Great job.
isopropyl alcohol will take off all the silicone residue, super quick and easy! i do it before finishing my pours here in the U.S. your paintings are amazing and your voice is so calm and relaxing this might be my new favorite art channel ♡
Gorgeous! There's a perfect head of a bird on the 1st dip, looks like a peacock.🦚 I love this technique so much...the biggest surprise factor ever!
Debra Wichmann thank you ☺️ yes it’s one of my favourite techniques
Wow, I would never of thought of bubble wrap.. I LOVE YOUR OUTCOMES!!
*Ally* thank you ☺️
All three are stunners!
Janolyn Moore thanks 😊
I honestly like the cells in this one, cuz they looked like the eyes on a large group of tropical birds. Beautiful!
So gorgeous! I absolutely loved this!!! The silicone spots were gorgeous as well... gave it another bit of character!
Crystal Lowery aww thank you 😊
Lol first of all I got a really good laugh out of the “if you google magic wand” bit! All three of these are gorgeous! I enjoy your personality so much!
KiraLyn aww thanks so much 😆😆 appreciate
Kinda looks like that Walt Disney threw up!! LOL!!! GREAT BEAUTIFUL Painting Gilly. You have never disappointed me , ever! You are absolutely the Queen of acrylics 🤗
Thank you so much 😀
WOW amazingly beautiful! Can't wait to try this!
I love this! The first ones look like feathers, sort of! While the last one reminds me of Hyacinths! Does anyone else see this besides me? Sooo lovely! Got to try this one day!
Thank you ☺️
I love learning about coloring and I love the color Bliss Station.
Vivian Knudsen aww thank you 😊
The rectangle picture looks like a flower garden. I like this one the best. Beautiful!
Oh my goodness, I'm in love with the bubble wrap!! I love the effect!!
The balloon dip technic is cool. I’d like to see a whole canvas with the balloon dip only.
WOWZERZ!! Your paintings are just gorgeous.
I have this video saved for future reference so that I can try this dip.
I love your positive energy, and teaching technique!
💛🧡❤
Lainey Smith thank you 😊 appreciate
You certainly must try so addictive 🤣
Thanks, Gilly for sharing your joy and technique. Will definitely try it out tomorrow in my art lesson on drip painting Jackson pollock style. That's how I discovered you
Thank you so much 😊
My jaw literally dropped for a good full minute when you pulled up on the canvas! WOW! I have GOT to try this technique!
Thank you 😊 yes please try 😃
All of them are stunning, but the first one is my favorite. Something about the colors in the last one remind me of a Monet... 💜
Mo
What a wonderful idea . I am going to try this for sure. I am so very sorry and saddened by the horrible loss of animals, people and homes caused by the horridly intense fires in Australia.
My dear fellow Brummie, it’s embossing the word your looking for, however your paintings are bostin ( left Brum in 1968 but never forgotten our very own lingo. ❤️ from Brissy.
Haha yes I remember the lingo 🤣 never leaves
You are absolutely delightful. I too 💕 the magic wand story....hysterical. You results are genius and your videos just go by so quickly no matter the length. I love the way your mind works....here, there and everywhere.
I like the one piece that you called with the wholes. Id glue glass gems on top of the holes, multicolor or black. On the next one with the balloon dips, they look like flowers to me, I love flowers but anyway, I’d glue gems to the center of each balloon dip. I love all your work. Just fascinating to watch!
wow what a great idea, thank you so much
Love the second one the best, love watching it’s like visiting with an art buddy. You are inspiring Gilly
Janet Melton aww thank you 😊
So bright and beautiful. Love them 💙
This is the first time I'm watching someone make such brilliant paintings, that too in such a beautiful manner! Your ideas are amazing! ☺️💛
Thank you so much 😀
LOL, love your enthusiasm and your response when you flipped that first one over! :D
Personally, I like the little cells on the first piece. It makes me think of peacock feathers. The second one is beautiful and almost looks like someone had melted a Monet. I actually really like the third one. I think I would have gone in and used a small angled brush on it to very sparingly apply a shadowy gray or deep burnished gold in some of the more muddled areas to give some contrast and a sense of depth.
Thank you! 😊
Excellent job. 💯
Wow! I was not expecting that!
OMGOSH, I love them both but that second one WOW. the third one I see an eagle in the paint lol
Just tried the best ever bubble wrap. WOW. Makes my other stuff look crap. Love the tutorials. Thanks for sharing.
Nichole Stanley wow great 👍🏼
I did this with my kids at work. The kids loved it, and the art pieces came out looking so awesome! Thank you for posting this video.
You are so welcome!
It looks like a bouquet of feathers. Love it!
Absolutely love this, am going to try this, I liked all three, same but a little different for each one!
I love it! I started doing pours back in March. I hadn’t really done much art at all before then. I found I really enjoyed it, and when I saw the bubble wrap for my package I had received I immediately thought how cool it would be to use it with a pour. And then I just saw you like to use it as well! How cool is that?
Great 👍🏼 hopefully your enjoying 🤗🤗

So whimsical. Love the vibrant colors ♥️
Absolutely fantastic! So gorgeous!
I desperately need the second round canvas in my life. That’s just gorgeousness right there!!!
Beautiful work, so colourful & creative, I especially loved the water balloon idea, in fact it's inspired me greatly. Thanks so much for sharing your art, I really enjoyed listening to talk about the work which such enthusiasm, I had to subscribe. I am currently just gathering information and have yet to try a pour, however so glad I found your channel first.
Karen LePlastrier aww thank you so much for your kind comments 🥰 appreciate
3rd piece is lovely, too, Golly! I love it and m so glad you dipped it (I hate to see paint colors go to waste ;-) thanks so much!
Your joy is contagious
Lynn Russell thank you 😊
Love, love, love this. I started watching your videos after you had been doing this for awhile and you are so comfortable with you instructions. I got one of your first videos. You were great then but you are so much more at ease.
Gail Meredith yes it certainly feels so much more comfortable to do now than when I first started thankfully 😅🥰
Absolutely gorgeous, can’t wait to give it a try gonna be a while. I’m just getting started with fluid art.
I’m new to this too, and I agree with you, love this and going to try it!
Thank you ☺️
Holy wow! You know these are my favorites! I love the bubble wrap dip-a-rooos! When you lifted the canvases I just gasped! Such brilliance! I can't wait to try this! I must! Hugs my friend! So glad you did these again!! ;)
JoaBea4 thank you 😊 yes one of my favourite techniques
I did the same thing!! And screamed at my honey that I absolutely HAD TO try this out! 😆 He didn't think screaming about painting in bed, scaring him half to death was all that funny...but hey!? Wtf? I love art!!!
@@pambaxter6994 that's hysterical, Pam! Thanks for sharing. ;)
I enjoy painting. It is a perfect hobby when you are indoors so much. I would like to try this bubble wrap pour. It is stunning.
Roberta Newell you must try 😆
Oh my goodness that is beautiful!
Love these, but I really thought u were gonna roll the edges of the round ones in the paint 🤔
Embossing (no T).
Your tool is usually called a heat gun. I have a heat gun and a torch and I prefer the torch when making cells!
oh dont correct her... its so cute the way she says it
They are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.
Your art is soooooo beautiful!!!! I can't wait to try this. Thanks for sharing.
You are so welcome!
Hi Gilly, this is the first time I've watched one of your video's and I'm hooked on this style of art. The round canvases are stunning. The third one, maybe if you could have lifted the edges of the bubble wrap up slightly so more of the paint could have flowed into the centre would have a different outcome maybe.
This turned out gorgeous! I love your art. Can I ask why you used the clear glue instead of regular glue? Thanks in advance
that particular brand works well, or elmers glue all :)
These look like a field of flowers 🌸 So beautiful
They're all brillant! I always see things and creatures in them. The last one had many mythical birds, I hope you kept it!
I absolutely love the simplicity of this dip and the results were gorgeous especially the first one. One question though , how is the bubble wrap placed? I mean are the actual bubbles face up or face down? Does it make a difference? I am a newbie and trying to learn. I love your work. Thank you so much for sharing.
I'm pretty sure the whole point of using bubble wrap is for the texture, so I'd imagine the bubbles are facing up. Not sure tho
At 10:40 you can see the paint seeping between the bubbles
Judy Charette yes bubbles up for sure 🤩
Oh my goodness Gilly these canvases came out gorgeous! My reaction was just a giddy as yours. Such fun. I have two questions if you don’t mind. First, when dry, do you apply a shiny topcoat? How do you take the tacks out of the underneath of canvas? Thank you Gilly! Xoxoxo
Yes and yes :) i apply a varnish, i have videos in my playlist to varnish finished works and i pull out jumbo push pins by wiggling them lose and pull :)
what a color show !!! beautiful !
Beatiful! ❤
*pouring starts at **8:20*
♫ It's a bubble wrap rap
♫ a bubble rap deep
♫ it's a bubble mixed rap
♫ which the canvas exceeds
That's the inspiration I was looking for to use in my next song. Thanks!
Beautiful, just beautiful.
3 beautiful pieces of art. The colors are so, so beautiful. Stunning. Happy art day!😊
