Cool collection of kit. I rarely stay out over night. I go on hikes but I carry a tarp and extras just in case. Ive got a kindling maker... Im sure they are still available, tho they are likely to be plastic now. Its like a small cheese grater or those things women shave the dead skin off their feet. Except this thing is all metal. I got it 40+ years ago from the scout shop. Find a dead branch, scrape the tool over it and it collects the shavings. It fits nice in my pocket or hand and holds a lot of shavings for starting fires. Dead useful. but I still have a tin with cotton balls socked in petroleum jelly. Ive got a home made clip together firebox. (ex girlfriends brother made it for me from 3mm stainless) Cant beat a 4m x 4m Unigear tarp.... Im 6'4. 3x3 just doesnt cut it. My other half gets that coffee, she swears by it. My skin was crawling with that wool blanket. Im horrendously allergic to anything with wool content.
😄 🤣 I love the foot scraper Tinder tool idea! This is pretty much all I take out now, excluding a few bits I have now swapped out. It's good for a week or more if I add enough food resources. 4x4 is a great size tarp for pretty much anything. 6,4! Bloody hell! I don't like the scratchy army wool, but this is soft and warm. If I could raise a fund from my community I would be glad to put a more budget friendly, but quality kit together to show on the channel. I could then give the kit away. I used to go top of the line but haven’t in a long time. A long time being over 50 years. I like challenges so I’ve challenged my self by going surplus and thrift stores. I t saves money but also makes me think. Can I make it work? Can I repurpose it into something else useful? If it’s used or old I’ll give it a go.

I also adhere to the "two is one and one is none" mentality and leaving items out is more of a problem for me than putting stuff in. I remember my first kit like it was yesterday bud 😂 Home made twig stove and lynx can stove a kickers back pack and any flannel shirt I could find in a charity shop that looked remotely outdoorsy. The most expensive gear I owned was a pair of Timberland boots and a leatherman surge! I made so questionable choices when I started getting good gear! Alot of which was on the never never or I went into debt for! 😂

I enjoyed watching this video. I like seeing a good load out. Personally I like the Emberlit FireAnt stove. It’s smaller than yours but I like it. And I might carry a Trangia stove to use in it. I’m not partial to compressed gas stoves. I’ve been building kits since +/- 1983 when I got out of the Corps. Back then we just called it camping 😉 Anyway, you got my subscription. Hey there buddy is that the titanium version also? The biggest benefit of that type of stove is it's ultimate flat pack packing ability. It is probably a fantastic performer too! My only gripe with them stoves is having to piece it together manually. I know it's not a big deal, I just find flicking out a stove for use is much more convenient. If you're okay with sharing that i would love to know what to look out for and anything you've learned that would be a help to newer content creators. That's assuming it was some kind of scam or something. Also I'd love to get some insight into how companies reach out to creators and the best way to go about handling it. For those that like a free-standing pack, 35 40 Lt pack with molle, molle on a GSR gasmask case works a treat great place for a hoodie and wet weather gear. Or a jet boil brew kit and food.
It was a very compact and quiet edc. Although I have since swapped out the flash light for a trust fire mini x3. It clips inside the pocket and makes no noise atall!

I e got the steel fire box and mine bent bec of heat. I can tell by your box, you also burn wood. All I do is burn wood, I never used a trangia, I wished I would’ve now. My next one I’ll burn wood but mostly trans.
I expect a certain amount of warping from these stoves. It's just the nature of the stove type. It's mixing materials that do my head in 😄 That's why I have gone to the winnerwell stove.
Hey there good question my good man. The pack is still extendable with all the gear I have here. I don't really use dry foods apart from noodles, so steaks meats veg will all fit nicely in the pack. The pack only weighs around 9kg as it currently stands so food shouldn't budge the weight up too much. Thanks for stopping by pal. Take care.

They are very handy. You can find cheap ones with faux leather on amazon, or you get something of nicer quality from the bushcraft store.

I e got the steel fire box and mine bent bec of heat. I can tell by your box, you also burn wood. All I do is burn wood, I never used a trangia, I wished I would’ve now. My next one I’ll burn wood but mostly trans.
I expect a certain amount of warping from these stoves. It's just the nature of the stove type. It's mixing materials that do my head in 😄 That's why I have gone to the winnerwell stove.

Hey there good question my good man. The pack is still extendable with all the gear I have here. I don't really use dry foods apart from noodles, so steaks meats veg will all fit nicely in the pack. The pack only weighs around 9kg as it currently stands so food shouldn't budge the weight up too much. Thanks for stopping by pal. Take care.
