Congratulations on you effort to push daily quality videos, i have seen the channel has grown. Be patient, all this effort you are making now will start giving exponential results soon. Keep going.
Thank you so much! It's been a lot of hard work uploading daily, and maintaining that schedule, but I'm definitely starting to notice the growth pick up! I appreciate your kind words :)
Thx, nice upload. We talked in a newer chat about the nts, i bought one today. Finally 😍 now i can use all ur helpful nts uploads 😉 rly thx! Greatings from germoney 😎
I swore to myself I wasn’t going to buy an NTS 1, I have a Kronos for Gods sake! But I did after hearing the drone Tim Shoebridge has for a donation, he expects $10 and deserves it! It has a shimmer reverb too! Check it out, I went to school for programming but outside of school have never done it, Well here’s my chance! Great video!
hey there. I was just about to buy a PO robot to play some melodies over what my PO arcade can do. would a nts-1 maybe be a more powerful yet not over-the-top alternative? Or is the ribbon keyboard not really meant for that, since it's more like an effect machine? I'm really really loving what you do in this video.
I think it depends on your setup. The robot is of course battery powered, but the NTS-1 needs USB power. That being said, the robot is stuck in one (C major/A minor), whereas the NTS-1 has access to all of the notes. The ribbon keyboard can be very difficult to play without a stylus though, but you can always plug in an external MIDI controller to play it. The effects on the NTS-1 will also sound great with your arcade. Like I said, really depends on your setup though. Thanks for watching!
@@FreeBeat I don't have a setup lol, just the arcade, which lacks in lead options. I'm really liking the nts with its arp, but saw that the volca keys would also pair nicely with a PO, but more for rhythm I guess...
@@bumboclat The volca keys would be great too! Not really sure what you mean by it being for rhythm though. I'd still probably lean towards the NTS-1 for the effects, but either would be a great choice.
@@FreeBeat (sorry for bothering you btw) so I went ahead and watched several dozen videos, mostly on your channel. besides showing me that an artist can make something out of anything, I think I decided against the nts and for the vkeys. the ribbon keyboard of the nts seems to be really bad when it comes to playing melodies, so all I could use it for would be the arpeggio and the effects. both of which I really like tho. with the vkeys on the other hand, I get a proper lead instrument that also has a step sequencer. meaning I get more out of it in the long run, and might add the nts if I feel I need its FX. thanks for your content. hoping to see more synth+PO jams.
Ttttttechnically. It's all dependant on what chord you have in the background (whether you have them playing or not). It can get pretty complicated to get the notes that you want.
Wow, what a jam. Less then $200 bucks worth of synths and you easily made a song that slaps.
You might be the best "operator" I've seen!
I own these two machines myself and this vid. opened a whole new world for me!!! Thank you!!
Haha well idk about the best, but thank you so much! These two play SUPER well together, you can get those chords sounding really huge and open!

Wow, I had no idea about the Arcade chord mode! That's very cool!
Yeah it's awesome!!
You make this look SO easy hahahaha nice job
Haha thanks!
Awesome tune man, I want to pick up an NTS-1 even more now after watching
You should, it's an awesome piece of gear! Thanks for watching!
Love it! Thanks for this.
Thanks for watching!
That was cool!
Thank you!

Right on, I hope you love it!
As a pretty new owner of po-20 i really enjoyed this video.
Thanks so much for watching, happy jamming!

Thanks so much for watching, I hope you love the NTS-1 :)
I just ordered po-20 as my first Synthesizer a day ago. And before it arrived I ordered another device. Not sure if thankful or angry.
Great video...
Hahaha I'm sorry and not sorry!
@@FreeBeat + PO33 +PO12. No regrets.
Real nice play, I like that Korg - can you you chain it in-between PO's?
Yes you can!
How the Cyberpunk 2077 Menu Soundtrack was done in 3 Minutes
Hahahahaha
I think it's safe to say that this was an inpired session when the stars was right. Great improv!
Haha thanks! I love it when that happens
Hi I managed to synch my 3 po but one of them don’t have sound but it’s time clocked
Make sure you have all of the sync modes set properly.

hey do you know of any hardware effect units that can transpose a signal? I LOVE my PO 20 but find it limiting that I cant play in any key
I don't sadly, effects aren't really my area of expertise haha. You could always get a sampler and sample it?
So Nice! Just a question, can you pay #'s on the arcade?
Ttttttechnically. It's all dependant on what chord you have in the background (whether you have them playing or not). It can get pretty complicated to get the notes that you want.
11:40 almost reggae!
Pretty close!
How do you sync with stereo?
The P.O.'s can only output mono, but any stereo cable coming out of the NTS-1 will techincally be in stereo!
Figured out it’s easier use NTS to sync PO-20 then set po to sync 2 and then run stereo out to audio in on the nts for stereo effects.
@@robertbuckly76 That works great too! And no splitter required haha.
super
Thank you!
This is dope. Just needs a tonic and KO daisy chained to add better drums and some samples.
Oh yeah, those two add a bunch to this setup!
sooo koool😎
Thanks!
Add monotron delay on PO's output to dirty it up and apply some filter... would be real awesome
