I'm mostly claiming a high proficiency in sports carries over in children, giving them some amount of base aptitude that is above and beyond a blank slate. There are several cases where athletes in all kinds of sports saw how easy their children picked up skills. Almost like they were naturals.

I suspect that character is more complex than that. You can be raised by terrible, selfish, awful parents, and be surrounded by criminals, and yet turn out to be a stellar human being. And someone raised by the nicest, kindest parents can turn out to be selfish scum. The truth is that we don't know why we are the way we are, and we might not learn for a long time. Brain research is still in its infancy. Maybe we will never know. But I do know one thing, deep down we humans are selfish, tribal, instinct driven animals suffering the delusion that we matter.

Loved this but could you all just sit the camera down facing the goal at half court rather than trying to follow their shots? Was just hard to focus on some of the shots.

8 years old with range like that? Yeah he’s going to be something else. I still had VHS tapes of JJ Redick burning the nets at Duke. Those were the days… I gotta get me another VCR to watch them. JJ you were exciting to watch at Duke man. The range was crazy!
