Great to have you back. You and Rob did a great job 👏 Glad you finally found the source of the leak, fingers crossed for leak free house now 🤞 Look forward to the next video 🤎
Here’s to hoping! You never really know 🤣🤞🏽
Love your bravery with DIY, I love seeing black women get into it yessss! Can't wait for the next vid
Finally! We’ve missed you over here. Love your updates on the house x
Aww you're the best thank you so much!!
Just love listening and watching this channel!!! ❤❤❤
At least It was clean water and not the loo!
I’d suggest a proper wet/dry professional shopvac rather than a Henry if you’re about to embark on a lot of house renovations - something you can attach your sander/saw/drill to, to help cut down on dust. Henry really isn’t designed for that level of use
Brilliant advice thank you. I also didn’t think about attaching my tools to it this may be a game changer. We actually picked up a wet/dry vac from B&Q the other day and it’s one of the best things we’ve bought for the house!!
@@ShadeShannon absolutely a game changer - won’t eliminate all the dust the tools kick up, but will cut down on a lot of it... looking forward to the renovations
Amazing your back 🎉🎉hope your doing ok can’t wait to see your new project 😊🤗
Thank you!! 😊 xxxx
Great to See you, really hope you took a nice break , 😊
I'm in my house 26 years and it was the same huge long nails in skirting, door frames, shelves i was glad there wasn't any built in wardrobes 😊
Hello Shade it’s good to see you back, I hope you’re doing well. GOD BLESS and much love.
Thank you so much! Hope you're all well too! ❤
Yay! So glad you found the leak!! You guys have done amazingly!!
Thank you gorgeous girl xxx

Definitely...@@ShadeShannon
Shade cannot believe how cool you are! Well done you!!! Absolutely ace work, imagine being able to say you did half of what you’ve done in your house! I bet Rob is so proud! ❤ so glad you’re back xxx
Your DIY skills are incredible - so glad you found the leak and it turned out to be a fairly simple fix. Looking forward to seeing the finished walls and ceilings 🙂
Hopefully I have sealed it properly this time! 🤞🏽🥰
Youre back! I missed you🎉🎉🎉
Yayyyyy! 🥰🥰🥰
One of the best channels on YT❤❤
I found you during your break and so I'm excited to see what's next! And I wanted to say thank you. Watching you tackle your projects has given me the confidence to take on my own DIYs that I've been putting off for over a year!
I'm soooo happy to hear that! Thanks for supporting ❤
Hi Shade glad you are back!! I missed your Vlogs and glad you are both ok. You must be so happy to find the source of the leak after all this time. Can’t wait to see the house being made over. Are you going to change the colour of the doors? I think sanding the down to a lighter colour would look amazing.
So glad you are back!! Yehh xx
Me too!! So happy with all the work we’ll have to do! X
You and Rob did a great job! Because you have to take down coving I decided to live with my swirly ceilings.....not too noticeable after painting in matt, they were all in silk. Who does that on a ceiling!! Hope the plastering goes well. I agree about a bit of pressure, works for me too.
They can actually plaster if you have coving too btw! But I wanted the coving off for a fresh start xx
@@ShadeShannon My plasterer said you get a better finish if they are off. Something to do with the definition between coving and ceiling apparently. Are you going to replace them?
We missed you so so much Shade, welcome back ❤
Thank you my girlies 🤗xxxxx
It sounds like the original owners build that home themselves with friends.
Shade you have been missed! Loved this video, looking forward to seeing the rest 🤗
ahhh i love ya!!
YEESSSSS!!!! Boss girl and Rob are back. Thought of you both this morning praying that you are well and no health issues. I tune into YT and there you both are. You make a great team and so looking forward to see you and your home move forward and evolve. Glad you were able to figure out and slay the root of that pesky leak. I’m so excited…beaming from ear to ear…you were missed but glad you are back and rearing to go. Sending blessings your way ❤🤗❤🤗
ahhhh this is beautiful!!! thank you so much for thinking over us ❤ ❤ ❤
Hey Shade! Typically for tapered edge plasterboard you don’t need to plaster on top of the plasterboard. By using tapered edge plasterboard and then taping and filling the joints you can end up with a really nice finish as the due to the dip the joint filler can fill it and then blend nicely with the plasterboard that’s next to it so in theory you don’t get risen parts from where you filled the joints, so that you can just paint over after. Hope that makes sense?!
ahh you legend! thanks so much for explaining that. makes perfect senes xx
So exciting! I loooove these videos Shade 😍
Aw yay!! So glad you liked it hun 🥰
Nice to see you back and tackling more jobs in the house. Things do have to get worse before they get better don't they ,but you are definitely a very capable couple. also love how you keep it real!!
Cannot wait to see the results 😄
Thank you so much! Looking forward to it all improving as I don’t know how much patience I have left for worse before better 🤣

Missed your videos! Welcome back!
Yay! Thank you! ❤
Ah i was hoping everything was ok!
All good my lovely just wanted to give quality content for you all 🥰
I almost took off my leg trying to remove plaster coving. I had to proceed really carefully with each panel so it comes away from the wall slowly and doesn't shoot off the wall.
😮 glad to hear you’re okay. No injuries for has so far thank goodness xx
I was ok, thank you. I've been binge watching your videos...... so inspiring.😊
Yay, you're back❤❤❤❤
Awww thanks lovely 🥰
Hi Shade everytime we showered we had a leak, but ours was from the shower tray not sealed properly , hope all stays dry … well detected 🤔🤗xxxx p.s back in the 70’s we had polystyrene coving, I believe the one you have was expensive…
oh you know our pain! ooh that's good to know, this stuff seems quality to be fair xx
I missed you so much! Glad to see your back! You and Rob have done a fantastic job! ❤
thank you gorgeous! so happy to be cracking on xxx
Not watched the video yet, but got the notification & just wanted to say yay! Hope your ok, welcome back, missed your videos, & can't wait to watch it later ❤
Awwww you are so sweet thank you thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Glad to have you back! I have no intentions of renovating (we've gone for a new build) but i really enjoy watching you and it's teaching me about home improvements that i could make.
Am i thick? I thought you said the spare room would be a bit smaller but it looks like you've got rid of the twin wardrobe, making one room larger but the other is just less a wardrobe? Is that right or have i got it wrong?
I can't believe it's already been a year since you've moved into your home. I'm convinced time is not real! 🤣
time has FLOWN!!! xxx
Oh how I’ve missed you so !
missed youuuuu 🤗x
Yayy so happy your back, your content is always amazing can you tell me where you got your glasses from and make please xx
thank you hun! glasses are from specsavers, they're the brand Marc Jacobs xx
@@ShadeShannon thankyou … that’s good as I’m there next week so will have a look xx
❤❤
I'm just wondering if you had the ceiling checked for asbestos before taking it down? I know you said the house is 30 years old so it should be fine but just wanted to let you know incase you have any other ceilings which are covered with artex
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
First time I've ever heard someone complaining because their house was built to a higher standard than many of today's are.
