When we were little my daddy would make an egg white icing by beating egg whites until they were frothy and think he would pour that on top of our banana pudding and put it in the oven until it was golden brown on top. Yummy is what it was. Mama made her pudding from scratch for no instant pudding back then in the early 50s.

He would beat it as hard and fast as he could and squeeze lemons into it and make whipped cream from that . Oh I remember it being so good he used sugar , van flavoring and would squeeze 3 or 4 lemons in as he beat it . Was soooo goodm

Y’all are a blessing to me. So glad Mamaw Margaret’s cooking videos showed up in my UA-cam feed. She is reminding me of my sweet Mama and Grandma. My mama was known for her banana pudding too. Before instant puddings she cooked the pudding and topped it with meringue browned in the oven. Later in life she made it with instant pudding, cool whip and I think some sweetened condensed milk.

My mother had nine children. (9 of us siblings). When our family began, there wasn’t “baby formula” and not every mother could breast feed or cared to anyway. Mother made us bottled milk by using “evaporated milk mixed with water and syrup for a little sweetness. None of us were sickly children and didn’t have health issues. She used a evaporated milk in lots of recipes too. Thanks for sharing.❤️

Oops! In between her Vanilla Waffers first! Now she truly was a Sweet Eater, and While she was in the hospital before we brought her to stay with us in Ridgeley until she passed! The Nurses told me to give her anything she wanted and how much! I baked a Blueberry Pie she ate all but one piece she gave too my Husband and I made two Coconut PIES and she ate one by herself and a part of another one but said she wanted us to eat a slice with her! SHE AND MY HUSBAND WERE VERY CLOSE AND WHEN IT WAS SWEETS AROUND THEY WERE VERY SWEET EATER FRIENDS❤ I MISS THEM SO MUCH AND MY DAD AND MY PRECIOUS BROTHER ALLEN❤ WHO PASSED A YEAR AND A HALF, A FEW HOURS AFTER WE TALKED AND AS USUAL TOLD ONE ANOTHER I LOVE YOU😅 WE WERE SO CLOSE ALSO AND I MISS HIM❤ Thank you again for Sharing God's Words with us all! I love nanner pudding!!!!! You want believe this, but I was hoping you would read Psalm 91. I read that aloud this morning. It was my sweet mama's favorite Bible verse to read at bedtime. After daddy died in 1978, she was a little afraid at nighttime by herself. She told me once that she read that every night and she didn't feel so fearful being by herself. I've been having nights feeling fearful myself lately, and Psalm 91 is what I read when that feeling of being alone comes over me. Thank You Lord Jesus❤🛐

Yes a video on how she does her eggs would be wonderful. I have so much trouble with my hard boil eggs. I get so discouraged.
Shocking them in an ice water bath helps a lot
I have a Hamilton Beach egg cooker and it steams the eggs and they peel nice and clean. Steaming does seem to work better.

Corey, your Maw Maw is precious. I've never used vanilla pudding or cool whip to make banana pudding. I'm sure I'm gonna be trying this. I am a diabetic but anything in moderation.Right ? I love nanner pudding!!!!! You want believe this, but I was hoping you would read Psalm 91. I read that aloud this morning. It was my sweet mama's favorite Bible verse to read at bedtime. After daddy died in 1978, she was a little afraid at nighttime by herself. She told me once that she read that every night and she didn't feel so fearful being by herself. I've been having nights feeling fearful myself lately, and Psalm 91 is what I read when that feeling of being alone comes over me.
