Watched a cover band perform this - they had a regular singer and just a separate guy on stage to do that scream, which was all he contributed. The cover band's singer couldn't even do it.... Think about how hard it is to scream as loud as you could 30 years ago....
Loverboy hit quick and left just as quick. Back in the day they sounded good for a few years then disappeared. Being a musician myself I look at this video and say Meh.......It's ok.. Not something I'd pull up to listen to ever again to be honest.

Everyone gets old. These guys are close to their late 60s, maybe 70s. They still rock hard like many cant do today. A good lesson. And most of all, having fun!

Love these guys , brings back memories for sure . After seeing how crappy Vince “ Meal “ of Motley Fool sounds , this was quite refreshing and I have never seen the negative attitude from these guys as some other bands from this era , these guys were good and just about the music and writing great songs , and of course with time certain notes won’t be the same live sometimes , but this was very good Mike was and is always one of my favorite vocalist . I have a ton of respect for these guys 👏👏

They played very simple tunes. Not musically amazing, but they nailed a few very memorable riffs for sure. They aren't RUSH. But they never tried to be either.

Went to a concert at the California Mid-State fair featuring Loverboy, Pat Benatar and Journey about 10 to 13 years ago. Loverboy started it off by kicking ass and sounding great! Pat Benatar does what she always does and mesmerized the audience. Then Journey came on. Now I love the catalog of all their great songs, but with no Steve Perry, I left in the middle of their set with my wife kind of disappointed. On the way home we marveled how great Loverboy and Pat put on a show.

I saw Lover Boy in Milwaukee a couple of summers ago at the county fairgrounds. They were so good! Later that evening at my hotel I saw them in the bar and they’re still getting the chicks brah!
They still have an aged in 50 years it's still the top band right now it's just unbelievable but it doesn't seem like the steam never goes away there is this the red hot band

I saw then in 01 , i was shocked how clear and good they were. One of the best live bands ever. I have seen alot of bands from this era and lover boy was in the top 5. Pros on a different level.

I've watched a bunch of live versions of this...he actually hits that note successfully over 80% of the time, including more recent versions.
