actually if you have some shock cord with two SF carbines and some heat shrinkable tubes to fix them together, you can easily repeat ops-core shroud lanyard on wilcox shroud or even on that fancy permanent mount low-pro mount. I prefer to apply some copper wire (piece of CAT5 internet cable will be alright) over the shock cord before placing heat shrinking tubes just to be sure shock cord wont move.
I actually did the same but with the rail bungees. The shroud didn’t sit flat and required too much torque on the shroud screws. Those little Phillips heads are easy to strip if you over torque.
I was thinking the Integrated Head Protection System (IHPS) currently being issued and found on eBay is the best helmet besides the Ops core helmets that have ballistic face shielding. Would be cool to see a video if you do buy one.
My g24 was very loose. I ended up putting on some loop side velcro on the shroud over the screws and the top bar that goes under the mount contact point. Worked like a charm. Locks up tight.
@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION My G24 is the new one with the longer arm. I did put a piece of foam in the middle of the MBS between the helmet and the mount although I didn’t see a piece of foam in the kit that came with my Ops-Core SF purchased directly from Gentex.
is the atn ps31-wpt any good? looks like it comes with "Photonis White Phosphor" intensifiers, i think gen 2. I'm looking at the one for $4700-, not the gen 3 version. Is it legit??? Or is it gen3 or gtfo? thanks.
If the tubes are Echos than I’d say yes but Photonis has lower spec tubes so I’d check what they are. Depends on what you’re doing. Recreational use, the Echos are more than fine
@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION i opted for the gen 3 white phos, i believe they are L3 tubes i think they're thin film. They did not say they were autogated, but when i walked down a dark hallway past a lit doorway, i heard the tubes make an electrical whining noise which people say is a sign that an autogating feature is working. Any thoughts? Model is ATN PS31 3W. Thanks again for showing footage of different intensifiers.
so now I'm gonna ask the nice fella at TNVC that's been patient with me asking when my 1531's will ship and see how much these cost and if green ones are in stock. too bad I painted my lid already but what the hell, it's just a reason to lay some more rattle can down through the laundry bag. thanks for the video looks like a nice low profile way of keeping things in place.
It should. Just check the shell thickness against the MBS info to make sure the included screws are the right length. If you can’t find the info online, at the beginning of the video you can see the sizes of the package
4D Tactical pads are lifesavers. Most important upgrade by light years imo.
Agreed 👍

Wilcox shroud better than Ops-Core shroud? If you have both.
I have the same observation on my new G24. I wish that there was a way to tighten up the pivot point.
It’s not all of them. My new one was super tight originally but I jacked it up a few times

*To clarify. That's involving the play between the shroud and the mount. My mount is 2020 production with no play on the mount itself at the joint.
@@Decheka4 I didn’t show it in the video but the MBS comes with a foam backer to tighten up the mount if it’s loose

I prefer the NERD lanyard from JD at Kinetic Consulting.
It’s definitely faster to remove than the mini carabiners

@@SpecOpsGear Right on. That sure “sounds” like they’re autogated lol
Will this work with a PVS14?
Source and link on split rings?

You’ll like it. Works perfect with the BNVD1531
Can this thing mount to crye airframe?

What helmet cover is that?
Ops-Core mesh cover. If you want one order it ASAP before they’re gone. They’re no longer making them
