Rather than irregular cut plywood to attach the two arches, perhaps consider using hinges in order to fold the piece for easier storage.

I get rain. I made character cutouts a few years ago. Used multiple coats of paint before painting the figures and then used a spray sealer.
I didn't have a problem the first year, so I put them back out the next without additional sealer. Mistake. Had to re-glue, clamp and putty the separated plywood layers, in spite of the multiple layers of high quality exterior paint. Seal both sides and edges with a few layers of transparent sealant, or you'll have to make new ones frequently.

My favorite part of this video is the night part, near the beginning. To me it looked like someone was in a car in the background admiring the yard. I used to have all kinds of lights & decorations (none homemade), most automated (a large waving santa in a sleigh with moving, flying reindeer was my favorite). I loved people coming down the street just to see my home & driving slowly by to show it to their kids. Then one year, years ago, some obnoxious twits in the neighborhood destroyed all my decorations shortly after Christmas & in turn it destroyed my will to decorate. I love watching all these decorations, Halloween; Christmas or any holiday, being made though! Maybe some day I'll decorate again.

I can completely understand how vandalism might have taken your Christmas spark. There’s nothing worse than having your property destroyed or stolen. I’m sorry you had to experience that. OK, I am officially out of English superlatives so I'm resurrecting my high school French. C'est Magnifique! That's a show stopper, to be sure. I think the proportions are just right-not too thick or thin. Not putting the screws all the way around did use more lights but you said you had a bunch from last year but more than that, it added a gorgeous glow behind it, further setting it off and making it shine. Not sure if that was the plan but either way, the effect is beautiful. (Now I have to backlight the wooden tree I'm making from 6' pickets. My poor husband...)
I would caution anyone in a wetter climate or if this will be displayed in the open to really seal the end grain to prevent delamination. Isaac didn't need to because this one is protected because of the location and not many freeze/thaw cycles. Epoxy is best but I've had really good luck with a shellac-based primer, then paint. Water based may work but I'm just giving my experience. I have a prop of chipboard that's still in good shape after 15 years and you don't want to go to this effort and expense to let it get wonky. For me, the time and cost was worth it in the long run. I have one I did not seal, just painted, and now it needs repairs. Even doing one on a smaller scale it's worth protecting. Living with wet, cold winters has its price.
As to the drilling into the siding-eh, it's your house. I have two permanent eyebolts in the fascia where I hand the spider web.

I love this idea. I think I'd like to try making one half the size and putting it on my shed. A 4' wreath is still an impressive scale. I wonder if making a 4' wreath would be light enough to hang on the double shed doors with 2 wreath hangars? That way I wouldn't have to drill directly into the shed to hang it.

    • @IsaacAlexanderDIY

I made a giant wreath from pool noodles, 300 feet of garland, 250 feet of lights and I hung it by myself. It was hard because I hung the top of it on 3 bicycle hooks because it was so wide, due to using pool noodles it was flimsy and would not keep the round shape so I tied each corner off and secured it to the beams on my front porch and it came out perfect and I have the largest wreath in town now.

Wow! that's beautiful! and stunning! 🎄
I know it's not the right season for that, yet, but.... while watching you construct this, I kept thinking of using a similar method, to make a rainbow, for a St. Patrick's Day Display. .... but I couldn't figure out what to use for the colours (other than paint).🌈🍀
    Merry Christmas.

I’m so glad you like it, for a St. Patrick’s Day display I would only use paint. They sell paint samples at lowes for $4 which is the most economical way to go
