She going for 3.00 bucks. Get it Veronica😂
Her Spanish is really bad even towards the end.
No it is not😂 her spanish and intonation is perfect, it’s just informal speaking, but it is correct and concise spanish (spanish is my mother tongue so I know :) )
She might be able to push it to $5.00 knowing her
@@youtube-rebel If it's informal speaking then how do you know she can speak it well enough to converse in a professional environment? It's my mother tongue too, again, in the US a lot of people can speak Spanish informally but not formally and it tends to be caribbean speakers who have this problem the most. A lot of them also can barely type out a well formatted email with proper spelling.
Like I said this is a such a huge problem where I live that we had to start verifying their ability with TOEFL consultants.
@@BlackRoyalty_ Lol no she's not.
My employer USED to pay us an extra 50 cents per hour for speaking Spanish, but after a company buyout, we no longer received that TINY differential. Guess who no longer speaks Spanish at work???
Obviously speaking Spanish isn't that valuable to their business model.
That's funny, because I was not even offered anything for speaking Spanish. So while I would bull 💩 with the guys in Spanish, I was not a Spanish speaker on the clock. So, they would just get one of the guys. Then we had a customer who spoke Japanese. I greeted him in the parking lot and we chatted up to the office. Once we got inside I went to my office. 10 min later my boss came in and said, "How much do you want?" 😂😂😂😂
Good! They used to have my girlfriend take the spanish calls for nothing. She quit. I love her❤
Me no get pay me no speak
You???🤔
The Lesson? Everything that is VALUED is NEGOTIABLE!
Excellent comment! 👍
She gets better and better as the $$$ goes up !! 😅😅
Watch the movie "The Greatest movie ever Sold!!"Same type of premise! Very funny and entertaining!!✊
😂😂
You get what you pay for.💲
No, her Puerto Rican Spanish is terrible, she's chewing and throwing up my Kingly Spanish. She should just stick just to English.
That is indeed the joke.
4$ and i turn into drunk tia at Christmas.
😂😂
😂😂
😂🤣🤣
😂😂😂
You mean tio?
From a spanish 101 student to puerto rican
The Puerto Rican was also really bad. You can hear from the tone to the accent to the missing syllables she's likely Puerto Rican raised in NY and couldn't hold a technical conversation with an actual Spanish speaking professional. I've dealt with these types a lot and my company has even had to fire a few for lying about their proficiency
@@iamcase1245 do you think that native Puerto Rican Spanish speakers speak "professional" or even proper??
@@iamcase1245stop playing. That was like six words.
@@tb8654 If they were educated and studied the language formally in Puerto Rico then yes. I've met tons of them in the STEM field.
@@SiriusBigbadda Exactly. That's why she cut it off so quick. If she kept going it was going to sound straight neuyorican. Hell, it all ready was.

Funny how $1.00 is it and not negotiatable. Then magically it rises to $2.50.
The quickest way to stop negotiating with a person that isn't confident of their value is to tell them "It's not negotiable."
Especially younger people in the workforce today avoid most confrontation like the plague, especially when it involves them and their own employment -- even if it's reducing their own compensation.
If you're providing extra value, someone will pay for it.
Everything is negotiable. It takes not being a demure bootlicker.
Thats because most of these people really need it and sadly in America many people just REALLY need the money and is too scared to negotiate from the fear of being passed off
I have done years of negotiations for my union. You have no idea how many times a _last, best, and final offer_ increases to a fair offer when a strike is a day away.
“It’s not negotiable” is when you hit ‘em with the, “You’re right, it’s really not. I get what I know I deserve for the extra services I’m providing or we both get nothing.”
As part of the clinical staff, I found myself being transferred a lot of spanish speaking pts to explain surgery. To book surgery or give them all the booking info. To translate the doctors message over the phone They did not want to give more than a dollar. I started sending all the emails back, saying that was not part of my job description. It was more expensive to hire translators than pay me 2 dollars more an hour. After 1 month, I got my raise. Lmao
Yes we want you to do your job and their (specialized skills) job for less than we would have paid them, thanks. 🙃
Fr I know tons of Spanish speakers that couldn't do that (I live in Texas). You gotta know all the medical/insurance terminology AND how to explain it to a layperson in both languages. Most people can't even do that in one language.
😂😂 That's right Veronica. Being the go-to spanish & portuguese speaking translator at work is a job in itself. Compensate me🤷🏿♀️
The higher the differential, the better spanish got...lmao
Y'all betta stop playing with Veronica 😂
Veronica's Tough!!!
"Yo espico" killed me!!!! (for those who don't know, 'espico' is span-glish) hahahahaha!!!
I cracked up when she said that 😂😂😂
Damn right! If I’m bilingual and and no one else in my office is then YEA I’m getting more money… and I am 😁 ya tu sabes! Team Vero 🤣
It's kind of funny to see people speaking about being bilingual being more than most others speak, when you're from a country where you can't even get into secondary education without being trilingual.
Creating pay gaps
I don’t care if 3/4 of the office is bilingual, I’m still getting paid what I deserve because I’m doing way more work than just going “Hola gracias por llamado 😃” into a phone and then reading off of a screen like my one-tongued colleagues are doing
Sorry but if anyone acts like this in an interview with this level of entitlement I don’t care what you speak, I’m not hiring you, move on. I’m not dealing with obnoxious toxic people.
@@zoeyredmond5501 if everyone acts like this and you act like that as a response, you'll either have no employees, or the most unskilled employees. The employees are now changing the work culture and soon it's not you who'll be in charge. Treat your employees well, pay them a lot and you'll get what you want. Can't afford to pay them well? Be a 1 man company and do everything yourself until you can afford it.
People do you see why I love this channel???!!! Knowledge is POWER! With knowledge YOU control your destiny in your job, because you can wear my shoes (replace me), but you can't fill them.😎

I COULD speak Spanish just like you COULD pay me what I’m worth.
There's not a human being on the planet that doesn't think they're worth more, including CEOs.

I aspire to be Veronica in all instances
I could speak Spanish too. I mean, I don't speak Spanish, but I could...
Going from Veronica to Ver-oh-nicah. :)

😂🔥💯😎🫘
😂😅🤣😭 i did this and the company immediately hired bilingual person 🤭 i just made a list of statements used for job, translated, practiced and kept a tab open in onenote😭🤣😅😂 works for every job title 🤷🏽🤷🏽♀️
That is brilliant. Efficient also. Nice
"we really need Spanish speakers" no, you don't. If you did, you'd be offering more.
Actually, they would offer more, but the HR chick is lowballing it all to get a better deal for the firm. Highest possible hourly rate is probably 18 bucks.
What? Her level of Spanish would never get plus $18 per hour anywhere. I've gotten $12k/year extra for being bilingual and I've passed multiple TOEFL written and spoken assessments. These videos sound like Veronica is an hourly customer service rep. Even towards the end you can hear her Spanish is barely enough for even that.
@@iamcase1245Im sorry but you are being under paid fr. I’m Afro Latina who wasn’t taught Spanish growing up so I had work my way up through management but ik that bilingual speaking definitely can get you , depending on the setting, $10/hr on average. For an entry level customer service rep definitely $5-$8 up where I’m from. But hope this helps in negotiating your worth at a job.
@iamcase1245 you are dense af. Try getting the joke next time-_-
This animation doesn't use the full audio. The real Veronika is Puerto Rican and grew up fully bilingual. She purposely speaks poorly until they bump her rate to what she wants.
@@user-nn1nu2qz9c Where is the full audio?

Obviously it's a staged bit but it makes a damn good point. If you want better service you better be paying more.

I was given a 10 cent differential for translating when I worked in a hospital 😂
i was given nothing. it quickly became known that i could speak ASL & as i was somehow the only person who could out of all the other nurses, i just got pulled to whatever unit had a deaf/HOH person on it. i asked about pay increase & was told "we can't do that" and it was tempting to "forget" how to sign but the only people who would've suffered were the patients. and it's already hard & frightening enough to be in the hospital, let alone having a communication barrier, i couldn't do that to them. but it was definitely bullsht that I didn't get paid for offering a service that literally nobody else there could
Veronica, hold her by her neck till she gets to $1m
The better she spoke Spanish, the pay increases 😂😂
Sadly, any job post directed towards bilinguals in spanish are offering a joke of a salary. I never say I'm bilingual.
That dollar literally increases your workload and responsibility by 100%. Nah. THANKS. 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
People….you never ASK if something is negotiable! You proceed with subtle negotiation to gauge the other party’s response to your conversation with them. Duhhhhh!
The call center at which I once worked gave the princely sum of an extra $0.50 per hour for bilingual agents. Whoopee.
This is my favorite 'Veronica video' of all5 'Veronica's videos!'

Veronica is WORTH IT!! 😂😂😂
No, she isn't. She's transactional and self-serving in almost every skit, but she's funny.
when I was a bill collector, the native spanish speaking collector was saying all sorts of illegal sheeit. The boss couldn't tell. My high school spanish was enough to know you dont tell kids the cops are going to arrest mom if the kid doesn't say where she works.
Obviously they needed QA for Spanish because that’s illegal as hell.
Just say:"if you pay GOOD,I am comfortable to communicate with spanish speakers in their native language, and what I define as GOOD,is..."
The more you pay the better her Spanish gets...😂😂😂

I remembered when I was hired for this job. HR starts at $30 non-negotiable. We ended up with $34.50 after negotiations 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Best voices on Veronica and"boss"

I worked years ago for the census. We didn't hire people who could speak the languages we were going to run into in the field in our area. Government thinking at it's best. Turned out I could do charades in 8 different languages. 😊 the government is so stupid. ❤
I love this!!!
Aaaah !😂🔥🤣 handle that buisnesss!
I quit handling customer calls in Spanish once I learned the bilingual rep made more money than me.

At my job they have no idea what all I can do and it's going to stay that way. 😂

This is my FAVORITE Veronica short!!!🤣🤣🤣
2.50 approved by the board 😂
🤣🤣🤣
Nice!😂😂😂 Negotiation at its finest!
😂 the way I got an extra $5 by stating that not only would have twice as many clients but I would have translate their documents to English started at $5 more than everyone else and eventually was at $9 more than everyone else
“Yo uno speakio in poquito”
😂😂😂😂😂 I can’t even, my guys busting
I worked for a company that provided a differential for Spanish speakers but when there were a half dozen of callers marked Spanish speakers, those coworkers who were receiving the differential never took them and instead I did and had to use a language line. Since the calls were longer as everything had to be translated it doubled the time and we were judged by adhering to what the company deemed ideal. I stayed 6 months and realized that the coworkers were paid more than I was but never accepted the work they were paid extra for and I went over the time and couldn’t take as many calls. I would be on the translation line so much that they would often ask if they wanted to stay connected so that I didn’t have to call back. Management wouldn’t address the issue and I quit. I understood most Spanish but didn’t speak it.
Really funny. It’s getting better by the sentence
With the accent and everything bro. 😅

My favourite employer so far in these cartoon shorts 😂
Funny. I sort remember some of my HS Spanish. Veronica is messing with HR. HR richly deserves to be messed with, most of the time. Quid pro quo, y' know?
Well that escalated quickly
I remember speaking Spanish with a customer at my last job, and after helping her I turned around to see two of my co-workers wide-eyed and open-mouthed. One of them managed to stammer out, "I had no idea you were that fluent in Spanish!" Their estimation of me jumped considerably in the course of a short conversation.
You give her 5 bucks she will be speaking like a Spanish grandmother😂
I was told things weren't negotiable at my last job interview. I was lied to. Good lesson here.
