Sometimes I do dust but only when I need a brief rest for my knitting hands. I don’t worry about it too much. It only comes back, doesn’t it. 😮

I have Many triangular shawls and I have Never Seen someone Who wears their like mine. I don't like to wear the point on front either.
What I Do is to place the point on a shoulder, a Little bit toeard the back. I take one Side and I throw IT on the next shoulder and I Tuck the other Side on front as well. Difficult to explain ! 😂 I migth take pictures and put Them on your Instagram.
It's Nice and cosy like that ! I live in Québec so it's very useful during Winter. But I also have some made of cotton that I wear AT nigth on the Summer.

I'm currently making another triangle shawl, but this time in thicker yarn... that way I can wear "grandma style" if you know what I mean. That is going to be great for winter mornings ❤️

I am looking around my house right now and noticing all our cobwebs! But, I am a Grandmother Spider devotee😉, I decided spiders are just an inspiration to join in and work with my fibers! And, nobody will see my cobwebs through all my stray

I’m watching and knitting while my husband is cleaning around me 🤭😂 we will all be dust soon enough!!! Omg mosquitos … thankfully we have very few, they make me crazy. We have no screens, house wide open and no aircon so they aren’t welcome 😆 thanks for sharing, stay cool and happy creating, Karen 😘

Thank you for sharing your everyday life! I love seeing how you live with your garden, and you truly inspire me to get out my spinning again! I want to participate in Tour de Fleece, so I should start practicing to regain the muscle memory.
Our weather here in northern California is very hot right now as well. My cats and dog look all day long for the coolest spots to lie down in. We are supposed to start cooling off for a bit for the rest of the week, so here's hoping! Have a lovely rest of your week, Ivana! ❤

Thanks Ivana for keeping it real".It is life and there is no need to sugarcoat the beauty of ordinary,normal,routine days for the masses..although,in the same breath,I also juiced our tree's blood oranges🍊 today and I'm guessing it wouldn't look as cinematic as your efforts🤭Still tasted good,however👌So nice to see the purple toned batt spun up...glorious❤️.Go well and watch those mozzies.We get them in Summer too.🙏❤️👋🐨🌏xx

Good morning Ivana, I can sure relate to the heat. It was 95 far. in my driveway late yesterday!!! I have to give my garden a drink in a few minutes so I can get going for the day. I'm moving to Oregon so getting ready to put my home up for sale in days. It's hell! But.....having said that I squeek in knitting my son a pair of socks every time I sit down. They are almost done. I believe they are the reason I'm not flipping out and needing to be taken away by the ambulance men in white coats to the funny farm!!!!! Oh ya- and cobwebs are out of control at my place too- spring brings in all the baby spiderlings. Lots of oak trees at my place so natural habitat for thise spiders! I love hearing about all your yarn and plans. Loved your Edinburough trip episode previously. Will go there myself for the yarn festival probably next year. Take care and stay cool!!!!!! Ivana, you can be the Pyjama girl! The sweater looks luscious! Am I correct your summer is a dry heat? My frangipani is in a pot and slowly dying as our climate is too cool in SE of South Australia. A woman's work is never done. Hubby doesnt seem to notice the dust when I comment how dusty the place is. But Im the messy bessy in our house. Knitting yarn and needles around my chair. Embarrassing the wool fibre particles around my chair. Everyone has cobwebs. Our invasion was moths then sea beetles which comtaminated the whole community's rainwater tanks. Then black crickets. Now garden spiders. At least I vacuumed today. Good luck for your son's exams.
Every season we get invaded by something else.... this week is the tiny black ants.

It's always a treat, Ivana, to get a glimpse into your making life - thank you! I didn't see any cobwebs! The heathered fabric you came up with for the raglan is so lovely - is it closer to a DK weight? I'm aiming to finish knitting your raglan pattern with fingering weight which takes quite long but I'm looking forward to the lightness of it - seeing your finished one is so motivating! All the fruit in your garden is lovely and mouth-watering! I do the same as you with getting busy first thing in the morning - otherwise I convince myself the task isn't really necessary and can easily wait for another day! 🥰

Hi Ivana! I live in Arkansas, USA and we have a huge spider problem especially this spring. We do have an exterminator that comes every 3 months but that didn’t seem to help this year. My husband ended up in the hospital for 5 1/2 weeks in 2022 from what the doctor’s believe was a Brown Recluse spider bite that got infected so we try to keep their numbers down. I’ll never forget when we were living in Oregon we had a dinner party, everyone was in the living room before dinner and my husband points at the ceiling in the dinning room to show me a cobweb that was hanging over the table (I had dusted but must not have noticed it fall, oops). I ran in there quickly and removed it! We lived in a very wooded area, cobwebs were everywhere! 🕸️ The purple yarn spun up just beautifully!

As far as cobwebs, at least I have the kids covered for the Halloween decor :) ❤️

Ivana, I want to join you in the hat project. You said that you used size 3 needles. How many stitches did you cast on and would you do the same for yourself. I hate to dust so I tell myself this;” dust to dust, ashes to ashes so maybe Mom is right here with me.” 😊. She hated to dust also! Anyway, she was much to busy creating to be bothered
I'm still experimenting but this is what I found so far:
3mm needles (fingering or preferably sport weight yarn)
108 stitches for women / 56cm (22 inches) long
116 stitches for men / 60cm (24 inches) long
This of course depends on how tight or loose knitter you are, but it can be a starting point.
