Hot take. To be damn honest, I personally don’t enjoy the way that either company handles their player base. On the other hand, contractors showdown was an embarrassing flop, and basically gave up on the project before it even had the chance to start. Caveman Studios treats its consumers like investors. @ that’s not pay to win. Thats a one time thing. Pay to win would be if you are able to just buy gear with real money whenever you want. You lose that stuff within a few days
I think the biggest difference is how much fun it is, the movement feels smooth and being able to clamber over areas feels buttery smooth, gunplay is designed well and easily understood how to use certain attachments with gun choices, and best of all, it's got a shit ton of content we've been asking for from Tabor for about months if not the whole year now. This is exactly what people wanted from Tabor, but Contractors delivered. All I want to see now is if it's going to be priced, or F2P an with the additional battle passes to add more money on top of it. I hope that this brings games to a good competition to see which game is going to be better.
its actually insane how this is an alpha (or beta idk) but its already way more content filled than tabor, not only that less bugs and devs who actually acknowledge their games issues and bad parts.
i am new to Ghosts of Tabor and the Quest 3. I was disappointed by the movement as i bent over a desk or some other edges and it pushes me back?! In Contractors this is handled better.
I do believe that if tabor were to add a full body healing system similar to the one in contractors, people would just complain about it and create a shit ton of drama
Its good to see UA-camrs who arent trying to appeal to all marketing teams for future collaborations. All of Ghosts of tabor jank cant be blamed on the players anymore, this game made it obvious that it was always the developers skill issue. No idea why anyone would stay with the worse game but I feel sorry for the few souls who want to stay loyal to a company that couldnt care less about user experience.
This gonna be so awesome. I really hope it takes off. I love how Contractors plays so much more than Tabor. It just feels more polished and less frustrating. Always has.
They focus on smooth gameplay whereas I have no idea what Tabor devs are focusing on.. Definitely not smooth gameplay. Many say the contractors games are quite arcady, and tbh I am totally fine with that. Clunky guns and reloads don't make games feel realistic, they just feel clunky and unrealistic... Reloading in Tabor is clunkier than real life, and that's silly as hell.
The funniest part is that Scott and his og team came from being in a contractors clan - not only that but he actually tried to sue Caveman for using a 'skill issue' charm. This is going to feel EXTRA personal to him
out for our dollar sounds about right as it is basically 7 or 8 dollars to purchase a dlc which basically has 2 variants of a shotgun, a lever action, a hat, and a pistol, but the shotgun i will focus on as it is two sawed off versions which instead of just making these customisations for the base game weapon just made them weapons for the dlc, like I don't see Tarkov locking changing the barrel of a shotgun behind a paywall nor that of any extraction shooter. its greatly disappointing.
I really hope tabor gets a reality check. Im really happy they get to finally experience what we as players feel. I really hope they know what kind of competition they are facing with exfilzone instead of just keep talking shit and expecting their loyal players to defend them.
Although exfoliating zone has all of these feature so quickly it needs to be stated that they did have a lot of things to take from their other games to plug into exfoliating zone with just some tweaking.
