An interesting note is that this can also go the other way. It is possible to get a cop, especially one that’s perpetually irate like ol Carlos here, to say something that can be used against them in court.

Update for those looking: After the charges were dropped, Officer Carlos Adolfo was suspended without pay from duties. Although it can't be found if he was fired, he is no longer listed as an officer at the Adair Police department. No criminal charges against Carlos Adolfo were filed with the Oklahoma judicial system; however, he is still fighting a civil case against Robert Everman and his wife Flavia Everman (who teamed up with others that had similar situations happen there). EDIT: Another update: If any of you guys wondered what happened of the civil case, Adolfo's first attorney withdrew only 2 months into the discovery stage of the civil case for an undisclosed reason (hmm I wonder, maybe its impossible to work with this guy!?). The case continued under new representation for another 10 months or so, where many settlement offers were rejected by the Evermans. Finally, a settlement offer was accepted, but it was an undisclosed amount. Since the nature of the suit was "Prisoner: Civil Rights," it is likely it was a very large settlement. Adolfo still does not face any criminal charges, but I hope the Evermans were made whole from their settlement.

@@kurokasteele4830 I feel the USA has a more hierarchical society than here in the Netherlands. I have worked for dutch bank ING Direct that was sold to Capitol One in the USA. Working in the head office in the Netherlands many colleagues from all over the world worked there, including some of the US offices. I did hear that there was a similar hierarchical structure at the work floor than I experienced with colleagues from India. Here in the Netherlands we have one of the most egalitarian work cultures. At every European company I worked for I could speak to the CEO without any barriers or fear. I have a cop in my family and I also follow several cop vlogs from both beginners and veterans. One I even follow from his first intake with the police where he had to undergo a mental evaluation before being hired to start his schooling. Police obviously has a hierarchical structure like the army. However here in the Netherlands people are more vocal when they disagree with something. This interaction would almost certainly gone different here in the Netherlands. Firs of all we have speed cameras so cops usually dont pull you over for these infractions. There is a highway police but they only go after the real road criminals. So people that really drive extremely fast or unsafe. And they usually first follow the car for a while to gather more data before pulling somoene over. They than invite you in the car to show you the road behavior on a video screen. It is mainly used as an educational tool to allow somoene to change their driving. And I feel European cops in general are more relaxed than USA cops. From what I experienced myself in the USA and seen on videos and shows. An advantage European cops have is that there are fewer guns here. Here in the Netherlands we own more bikes than people, not guns. And our police is not as strict as in many other places. We have what is called a 'gedoog' police which roughly translates to allowing minor infractions to go unpunished if they don't cause anybody any harm.
He says the guy was angry, but the cop never stopped yelling. His voice cracked at least a dozen times because he wasn’t in control of his emotions or ego. I’m done with these tyrants.
Yeah in the original video the model the officer has can clock two vehicles at once and on the right side it has the officers speed. Both cars clocked in below the speed limit of 45 and it was actually the officer who was at 57 NOT them. The second cop in the video is actually the supervisor.
@@marquisdelafayette1929 " it was actually the officer who was at 57": Police officer: "The faster I went, the faster they raced away -- until I almost rear-ended them."

Really, there's no way to make that determination. Technically, you need to be going the speed limit the sign says when you get to it, not start slowing down once you reach it. Yes, there is a brief glimpse of the officer's speed detector, but he may have been using other ways to determine her speed (which happens all the time). She may or may not have been speeding, I don't know, too little data. That said, the officer needs to go. This is ridiculous. They weren't even speeding according to his camera. These two people were going about there day and he had to pull them over and harass them. This is why people hate cops.
When the recording started they weren't speeding. That area according to other videos is a known speed trap where the speed drops 10mph, so they might have been speeding according to an abitrary perception. Where the speed changes on the road ive heard things from "as soon as you can see the sign" to "100ft before the sign" to " exactly at the sign."
@@nunyabisnass1141 Yeah I had someone pulling me over for "100ft before the sign" then another cop showed up asked him what my speed was and said " the sign says 40" so because of that he had to give me a warning and let me go.
Just kind of general statement, it seems (at least locally for me, I can't imagine it's different elsewhere though) that the zone applies exactly at the sign. So if it's slower, you should slow earlier, but if it's faster you wait to speed up. Now follow that and lemme know if an officer gets on you for going too slow in the 30 feet before the sign, because I bet one would.
I think it’s clear they aren’t using them anymore. The likely reason for this is that if they continued pre-employment psych tests they wouldn’t have any viable candidates that would pass. Also, since psych tests aren’t scientific it opens them to HR lawsuits

OMG!!! This Cop is a disgrace, he lied so easily, is totally unstable. He should be FIRED & CHARGED
And so should his cheating wife that stabbed him in the back again just now it's almost like these two are having an affair and this was a setup because he had a narrative that whatever was real or true wasn't going to get in the way of it creepy I don't trust the wife either

@@nicememes7570 nahh that should always come back to the organization that hired him. He did however swear to uphold the constitution so a federal charge of tyranny would suffice

He has a twin cop brother, named Jared Hawes, who works for Orem Police in Utah, and he is just as devious, emotionally driven, and in need of help.
Officer Carlos is what happens when you give an elementary school child a badge and a gun
This is one of the worst cases I've seen on this channel. That officer definitely uses his badge to overcompensate for his insecurities and needs to be terminated immediately
"Hey your wife just told me she's afraid to be in the vehicle with you again and I think you might be beating her. You may leave with her now"
"Did you tell him you're scared if I get back in?" "No!"
Then he forces him away and says do not talk to her... Guy was corrupt
If this officer acts like this on knowingly on camera, imagine without a camera!
Preach!
Exactly
And he was so confident he mentions how he's recording everything lol
@@thewanderingalbatross1061 i've seen officers refer to their bodycam to support their "perspective" several times in these kinda videos, while exactly that footage is now exposing them even on youtube.

Officer: "you just threatened me"
Man: "I did not threaten you"
Officer: "you just told me to not get hurt- "

I’m a cop. Watching this. Literally questioning everything he’s doing out loud to myself because this is so egregious. He does not need to wear the badge, fuck him and his complete incompetence. Oh look at that I cursed. Hope he doesn’t come for me next. Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. Congrats on your 4th amendment law suit win ahead of time but I’m very sorry he had to go through that.
Sure your a cop, thats the beauty of utube, everyone is a cop, pilot, attorney, judge, expert... His statement of "he is the reason cops get hurt" could construe a threat. Dumb comment, thats why he was arrested.
@@mannycastle3011 for him to be arrested for terroristic threats and acts which is the charge he would be arresting him for requires a means or act. That’s a simple broad statement about not just him with no means to do so. I’m sure you could just look me up but it really doesn’t matter if you believe me or not. What happened was unlawful and officer Carlos does not know how to police or apply the law.
@@zachdoan4093 Im NOT saying it stuck, the prosecutor dropped charges. You dont think he had enough to at least annoy him as he did, even if broad as the statement was?? I'm sure this officer did NOT lose any sleep from the comment but he has enough to serve the purpose of annoying someone who annoyed him. I know annoy is NOT enough to arrest him in your opinion but if he would NOT have made such a comment, he would NOT have been in such predicament. It still his own doing.
@@mannycastle3011 or, imagine this -- the cop could have NOT blatantly lied about the speed of the vehicle. The cop was in the wrong from the very beginning, and looking for any excuse to go on a power trip.
@@mannycastle3011 Yikes. Manny, step away from your computer. There are some great after work programs that can help you get your GED, and maybe, some sense.
That cop makes my skin crawl, the enjoyment he gets from bullying people is so high he's literally hyper excited...
Wouldn't be surprised if the cop got sexually excited by his own power during the encounter. What a creep.
Someone needs to tell him he isnt the feelings police. End qualified immunity and city's won't have to pay for their inept officers. Or better yet make them read the Constitution and amendments prior to swearing them in.
Craaazy
I love how the cop is clearly on the edge of a mental breakdown but he’s telling someone who swore and laughed that he has “anger issues”. Flat out accusing the guy of beating his wife for literally no reason and the cop was still way angrier and more aggressive because the guy replies with “don’t”.
That’s clearly an individual who doesn’t have the temperament to hold a badge or a weapon. He needs to be fired immediately. How the other officer didn’t put him in check is beyond me.
Cop culture filters out good cops.
The co-officer is most loyal than…
The other officer probably works below him and doesn't feel like he has the authority to do anything.

But all pigs are the same. You cannot find one single cop who doesn't violate the constitutionj daily.
The fact that she was going under the speed limit and got pulled over for speeding is so alarming. How many people get pulled over unjustly for speeding when they weren’t and just go ahead and pay because they can’t take time to fight it in court? This is outrageous to me.
Story time: I was driving a manual shifting truck and not even 10 yrs since I did my drivers test (important information). It was at night and just dropped her off and just got on the highway like I was taught in drivers school, I was pulled over. The reason? I was left of center and wasn’t going the speed limit. I was then asked to step out and it was fall so I asked if I could get my jacket they asked if they could search it and the car for drugs. I said sure but you’ll only find mt. dew and a type of anti ascid. All because I was a jumpy and skittish late teen early 20’s person. But they wrote me a ticket and told me to show into court at ‘blank and blank’ which I had to manually ask for it off or evening shift since it was just over a week away from the posted schedule. Let’s say my ticket wasn’t a real ticket but a fake one. I was MAD! I was a young adult trying to figure out how I was going to pay a $200 ticket when I worked part time and had other bills to pay. I was just pulled over to meet a quota.
Dash cam.
