I heard HIM first time when I was 11 years old in 1999 and still love it 😍

The last one caught me by surprise, but it's definitely a Finnish classic 😆

Must be one of the world's most played tunes, I'd imagine :)

I was going to say, out of all the Nightwish songs, is that one really their most iconic? I don’t know of course, I am not Finnish, and have only been to Finland once for one day when I was very small. Whenever I listen to NW I always skip that song because I personally find it very overrated/overplayed, and it makes me cringe any time I hear any iteration of it, nothing against Nightwish. I love the band, just not the song, and don’t even consider it their song. Admittedly, Marco’s vocals are absolutely killer on that track, but that’s about the only thing I like about it. I guess that song is “iconic” in the sense that it seems like a lot of the masses just really like it for some reason, and people perform it as a kind of gimmick like, “Here’s this vaguely operatic song I can sing!” Except it’s usually not very good lol.

@@babs1083 Personally I would think their own songs (not covers) from their first albums would be more "iconic".

@@elfbiter yeah, I agree. Though I don’t know which one I would pick as their most iconic. Maybe a Finn can answer that ;) Their new albums are fantastic as well, but I suppose since they’ve been around for so long the older stuff would be considered more iconic.
