Thanks for the tip on assembling the track gear on the side of the main post. I had it in upside down. It's working like magic now and it's time to start drilling holes in things!
I just ordered the klutch 12 inch, adjustable speed drill press with the 3/4 horsepower motor. I hope I didn't just throw $360 down the tubes. I have watched a ton of video's here on UA-cam about every brand of benchtop drill presses and from what I get, their all pretty much the same in quality and your only hope is that companies warranty if stuff goes down.
I just received the Klutch 12 in. 3/4 horse power, adjustable speed bench top drill press and I absolutely love it except for just one thing. I wish this model came with it's own work light. The smaller, cheaper klutch benchtop comes with one. Other than that I definitely enjoy this press.
Do you think it is possible to add a work light? My Delta DP350 spindle pulley just blewup this week. I replaced the motor pulley January 2018 after about 1.5 year wait for the parts to be made in China. Are there ANY power tools made here in USA?
Walter Welch so far this one has been great. It was only like 300 something dollars I’m happy with it I like northern tools a lot I have their air compressor too. Just released the clock build !!
Been looking at these online ? today i learned a new word Chinesium ! i just told one of my Aunts about Instructions that are written in Chinglish and she thought that was hysterical !
Thanks for doing the R&D on putting this together. The instructions do absolutely suck. I put this together after watching this and didn't even bother with the instructions. Couple of things, attaching the light to the drill housing, they now apparently added washers. Also check the table to drill with a square, found mine to be just a degree off. Not a biggie put if you require precision, could be enough to throw you off.
I see you press does not spin true either, mine same model never did either. It is almost 3 years now since I purchased it, the spindle bearings are significantly sloppy, the light does not work, I purchased the 2 axis cross vise for that model and it doesn't line up with the table. So it is basically a harbor freight (pos). It took 4 different units before I received one that was not to terribly messed up from transportation. The way it is packaged is horrible. Packing material does not handle the weight of the press...

I just bought a 17'' model and you're right, the assemble instructions absolutely suck!
