Excellent tribute! Thanks for pointing out the Polish Servicemen of World War II. I had the honour of working for one of the widows of a Battle of Britain [10th of July to Samhain 1940] fighter pilot, Mrs. June Kotarski, and meeting another, Fred Bankofski and his Irish American wife Catherine. Despite studying history all through secondary school and university, I never learned that the RAF Polish airmen were instrumental in that first major military campaign fought entirely by air forces, that the Royal Air Force was 20% non-British, and that other shining stars like Paddy Finucane saved the day against Nazi Germany's Luftwaffe. Thanks for keeping history alive!
thank you very much for your excellent and informative tour,I’m originally from the Clonard ,Dunmore Street ,went to St Galls.. lived in London during the dark days of the 70s, another family that was terribly put upon by the establishment back then was the Maguires.
I’ve done the full tour three times. It’s really interesting as the guides don’t all show the same places, it is part of their story. Really informative , and as an English born woman, I wasn’t brought up with unbiased news. Well worth doing, and worth doing more than once.
As a Scottish Presbyterian I believe Father Alec Reid was a gift to humanity from the Lord. May the Lord shine his light of love on all the victims of all persuasions in the the troubles. You are loved. ♥
*To Whom It May Concern* I hold my head in shame for I am an ex-Brit and I would like to take the time to apologize for baring arms in your Country during December 1987 - April 1988. I was based at Fort Whiterock, Springfield Road, Turflodge, to this day I remember so many terrible incidents will remain with me forever. The Riots in Turflodge before and after The Gibraltar 3 were being returned home, dealing with the aftermath of the two Signalers who drove onto the funeral presession, finding a man who had just been knee-capped on The Andersonstown Road. Known now about the betrayal of The British Government and all the lies and cover up's that happened during my time and all the collusions with The RUC and The British Government with regards to The Funerals and all the drama's that went along with them sicken me. May All Concerned Who Lost Their lives During The Troubles Rest In Peace, Amen.
Thank you, For you're honesty ,if only more ex service members had you're guts and honesty we would be miles further down the road of this so called peace process.. 🙏✌🇮🇪
I have a mixed family, I had family members who served, ironically all three were the Catholic side of my family (TA and Nuc Submariners) which I found odd. Not one from the other side served the country that had become home. My first boyfriend was a Celtic fan like me albeit a Protestant, no-one cared, the only trouble he experienced was 4 Rangers fans putting a bottle over his head for wearing his Celtic shirt. I can't imagine anyone being angry at you learning history from both sides, I think its important to us all. Hopefully we will have fans attending the games again, they aren't the same without. Let the people sing; whether it be the Sam or Rule Britannia. Godspeed!
Great video and where as I understand it’s a huge piece of land with many interesting graves a lot of Republican plots exist in MS and deserve a mention so as a poss follow up the RSM & ORM should get a minute on any future video’s equally the numerous grave sites of the innocent civilians murdered by British & Loyalist gangs . Not a critique just a suggestion .

We were there on a grey rainy day. I was very moved by the struggles of Irish freedom fighters. Had a drink at the felons club after. A powerful memory
Fascinating video and channel - I've just subscribed thank you. Can I use this platform to raise the dreadful miscarriage of justice that is Jeremy Bamber in his 38th year in jail for allegedly killing his family - he didn't. He knew Gerry Conlon in jail, though not as well as he knew Paul Hill who he describes as the "coolest cat I've ever known". He took Paddy Hill's cell when he was released and was also good friends with Richard McIlkenny and less so, Billy Power. They all know (or in Gerry and Dick Mc's case, knew) that he is innocent. There is a mountain of evidence on OfficialBamberVideo on UA-cam covering why his frame up and trial were a sham and why he is innocent. I fully understand why you may take this comment down as it detracts from your subject but when I saw Gerry's grave I couldn't stop myself. I only want to direct people to the OfficialBamberVideo channel outlining Jeremy's innocence beyond any doubt. Many thanks
Ah lads ye should have shown the other Republican plots ,after all the deep rooted sectarianism and now the last few years what is coming out about the past deep psychological wounds in the community on the impact on the common man everything has changed and nothing has changed 😮. Thanks
Robert Curtis died on The 6th Feb 1971 and Hugh Mc Cabe died on The 15th Aug 1969. It`s always been a mystery as to why he wasn`t officially listed by The Government as he was clearly killed first.
@@gerard394 So was Hugh McCabe, he just happened to be home on leave. Does it not strike you as odd that he was given a Full Military Funeral, yet he is not recognized on any official Roll of Honour ? I would love to know the reason why.

Would have been good to hear a little on Frank Carson’s career in the Parachute Regiment. Killing and nearly killed. Not your average comedian.👍
How about adding the Arbor Hill Prison graves to the Easter Rising Leaders. Thanks 👍
