People love to make the distinction between male and female athletes, but what happens when you see only their accolades side by side and tell them to guess who is who?
They might just struggle.
We put eight strangers in a room, no names attached and asked them to guess which resume belongs to which athlete. This is the Blind Resume Experiment.
On paper, male and female athletes can bear a striking resemblance. On this episode we took two of the greatest swimmers of all time and put them head to head. In episode 3, we compare world class olympians Katie Ledecky and Michael Phelps.
This experiment further proves that women belong in sport, dominate sport, and perform sport at the highest level, time and time again

why not put the number of medals on the list? Each resume has been biased by not putting all information.

This is so incredibly biased to even try to make ledecky have a comparable resume. Phelps was the best all around swimmer ever to be able to get 8 gold medals in Beijing is a accomplishment on another level. No one is arguing that ledecky is with out a doubt the greatest long distance female swimmer ever, but still doesn’t compare. And to try to bring up pay as if there is discrimination behind it is evil. Phelps is all around a more marketable person he’s the reason why swimming became so big in America and is much more willing to put himself out there than ledecky. Also ofc he makes more money he has his own brand of swimming equipment.
