    Such great info! I love that you teach about ingredients that work and specifically what is happening in the skin vs. just sharing a particular brand that says "it decreases pore size". So many people read only the hyped marketing claims on the front of labels vs knowing what's even inside that product. I used to be a medical instructor in the military so I love to teach. But I'm a sponge and a total ingredients nerd and absolutely LOVE learning. You have the best info and your teaching style is perfect and so easy to learn from! Thanks so much for taking your precious time to teach us! 💜💜💜

      Thank you so much for your sweet words! Yes, it make me so frustrating to see the false advertising for products that say the "stink pores" or "anti-acne" when they really done. My job is to educate you guys so you dont fall for products and treatments that dont work.

    I realize you don’t have much time left in your day to do these video’s, with work, kids, and a family, but you do them anyway. Thank you! I noticed you never list any products in your descriptions. You put out a lot of great content and the least we can do is buy a good product from one of your links to support you for educating us on skincare! And those 8 people that gave a thumbs down, they are gonna have pores the size of the Grand Canyon. That’s what they get for not listening to you lol

      @bihmrunner 4 роки тому

      Britny Snyder I’ve always heard a couple of times a week also but always felt like my skin was better when exfoliating everyday would I am so glad to hear her say this! Know your own skin and what is best for you! I have very large pores, VERY oily skin (all over, not just t-zone during summer months) and acne prone skin. No, those that don’t have oily/acne prone skin with large pores probably won’t benefit from exfoliating everyday but that’s not me/my skin! I’ve even had estheticians tell me that I shouldn’t be exfoliating everyday. So glad to hear her say that you should if you have large pores/oily skin. Thank you Stefani!!

Usually pertaining to using too much/too many products with acids in them, skin polishers, etc... Unfortunately most non-physicians are usually trying to sell something and have a business mind with a hidden agenda. As a doctor, I stick to my primary oath to help others and dedicate my life to skin health. Therefore, I may disagree (more often than not) with these bloggers but spend 10 years of post graduate school learning about the skin on a level that very few have. This is why I love to share this information and not try to sell you anything or recommend a certain line over another. I share all the products I use but every product and active ingredient that I recommend comes from data, research and science. Looking at changes in the skin under the microscope and on my patients themselves. That is what makes the knowledge that I share different. Think of my channel as a safe place and as the truth. The education I share about skin health is backed by science without a hidden agenda. Just a sharing of knowledge to those interested. IfI can make a difference in others lives, make them fell better about the way they look or make their skin healthier, then as a doctor that makes me very fulfilled. Hope this makes sense?

      You can definitely damage your skin barrier. Plenty of dermatologists not selling anything will tell you that. I’ve experienced it myself with my own skin; too much exfoliation and acids too often. My skin became super sensitive and irritated and MORE oily, which compounded the problem.

    Does taking Accutane once a month prevent from getting the side effects? Because I took it for 4 months for my acne and it did clear up my skin but the side effects are brutal. I've been off of it for 4 years now and my joints still feel stiff from time to time. While I was taking it, even going up the stairs would be difficult because it caused so much joint pain. I'm still grateful that I took it because it was the only thing that actually helped my acne, but taking it once a week or month I would be worried about experiencing any of those side effects again.

      Jane Burke don’t use it. Without experience you can harm your skin. The methods she recommends in this video will make your skin less clogged where the blackheads will easily come out. You can afford professionals though. I don’t make a lot of money but I save it until I have enough for a procedure. First, get one of the things she suggests in the video. Or even a few procedures she mentioned. All that time, save for a facial, preferably a Hydrofacial. Your skin will look so much better!

      DDreamer not if you have extremely large pores/extremely oily acne prone skin. If this does not describe your skin, then it is probably too much. I have the type of skin that benefits from daily chemical and manual exfoliation. Everyone is different.

      cuqui baum go to her friends site: Premiere Look. Her friend is named Brianna Stanko and she has a UA-cam channel as well. Brianna only puts products on the site that are good and work well. Besides that, check out ZO Skin Health. Dr. Stefani loves that brand.

    This video is very educational when it comes to how pores get clogged, I just wish you would list some products that you recommend in the description box. The couple of things that were mentioned in the video were said so fast that it was hard to understand.

    Is it ok to use the glycolic acid on my nose for the blackheads when I'm using retin a on my face?

    • @MARICARSTUDIO
      @MARICARSTUDIO 3 роки тому

      What I did was before using glycolic peel i skipped retinol for a week, then I had 30% home glycolic peel. I waited another 2 weeks before i resume retinol use. The result looks good but my skin got sensitive to heat especially when i cook. So i put a mask on while cooking. Reduce my retinol use at least 2-3 days a week

    I am 59. Is clear & brilliant benefiting to my skin ? I am mostly cleat but have some pores starting to show and a few sun spots. I use all. Medical grade skin care. I’m a little afraid of stronger lasers. Love your videos

    What are your thoughts on affirm laser?

    • @DrStefaniKappel
      @DrStefaniKappel  5 років тому +2

      Similar to Fraxel. I like any resurfacing device that has good results. I dont like it as much as Fraxel Restore as colleagues who use it say the results are inferior but any resurfacing device is always a good idea. Just some lasers give better results than others.

    Sorry but your thumbnail suggests more of a 'how to get your bust size bigger' video than a pore/skin-related one🙄
