I have some suggestions: Andrei Rublev La dolce vita Seven Samurai Raging Bull 8½ Ran Pan's Labyrinth The White Ribbon The Leopard (Il Gattopardo) Vertigo Citizen Kane Mr Turner Once Upon a Time in Anatolia Black Narcissus Thanks for your work btw!
Very good movie with a happy ending! And even if I didn't suffer from an emotional trauma after watching it, Portrait of a Lady on Fire will still be my favorite love story in cinema 😍
I'm still baffled as to how Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara didn't get Oscars. Also, am I insane or does Rooney bear an almost uncanny resemblance to Audrey Hepburn in "Carol"?
I want her to play her in a biopic! But I agree-- Bria Larson was phenomenal! (although if we were to talk about the supporting race, well thats another conversation)
@@rahultej2248 she was but you won't see her performance making it to the best of the 2010's and Cate Blanchett's performance here in Carol is ranked 2nd. That says it all.
you should totally do : chungking express fallen angels fear and loathing in las vegas lost highway howl’s moving castle coraline your videos are amazing, have a good day :)

Thank you for your work on this channel. I love the visual aspect of movies. Do you usually purchase 4k versions of these movies, or just use random clips from other sources.
Hi, Another great video as always! I was wondering how you get the footage for your video’s. Do you watch the movie and pick the shots you want and then screenrecord them i’m really interested how you get the footage
Are we ever getting "The beauty of The sopranos"? Pretty please? (Ps: if you do I suggest setting it to glad tiddings, i dont think dont stop believing will fit as well as baby blue does with breaking bad)
A lot of influence from the movie "In the mood for love". Many similar shots and frames. The same way of expressing a love that cannot be realized. Wong Kar Way has influenced this form of expression with the camera and cinematography.
Carol never heard that movie before. But I heard of Carl, not Carol. The Beauty Of: Any questions about what movie should I put next of The Beauty of? Carl Wheezer: Yeah Are you gonna finish that croissant? The Beauty Of: What does croissant have to do with The Beauty Of Movies? Carl Wheezer: Well, I'm just hungry and I just want to borrow one croissant. Can I have it, please? The Beauty Of: Knock your self out. Carl Wheezer: Nom Nom Nom (Burp) Mmmmmmmmmm yummy in my tummy. The song has always been used even in the book the price of salt, it fits the romance of the two perfectly, especially to Therese's pov, it's her song to carol.
I admit that this one..... I dunno, it just look ordinary. Not bad, just ordinary. There's nothing special, interesting or spectacular about the imagery, it's your average period look. That's not to say it's bad, but I think that there's a hundred films you could find that have more or less the same look.
@@elijahsackville-glucksburg Except... what is judged here is the visual, the cinematography. This video is meant to showcase it's most interesting shots, and they are all utterly basic. Maybe the film is good, but it's not visually striking to me in any way. Which isn't even to say it's out of place for the film but it also feels to me... like what's the point of showcasing it here? I think a truly great shot is something that evokes ideas, feelings, even meaning even taken out of context. Because the image is just *that* powerful. I've been personally inclined to watch films just by this channel or by seeing one or two single shots that intrigued me. I cannot judge the film as a whole, and I don't doubt in context all theses shots works. I just don't see the appeal of showcasing them *here*.

your film taste must be awful then
the music you used to show the beauty here is wrong, this wasn't the type of music playing in the movie, it is not a Woody Allen film here
