I've been on and off with getting a good Drilltusk lance run for the past two years... now I finally got a time I can be satisfied with. It helps that this is one of my favorite monsters to fight in this game, which made the grind a whole lot more bearable. The amount of "baits" and positioning tech with this monster makes it super interesting.
7'30 or faster can be doable, but you would need REALLY good AI and proc yellow enraged guard on the second activation, which is hard on Drilltusk since there's a whopping two moves total that give yellow, both of them being infrequently used. You'd also not want it to hop around like an idiot or carry rocks for a long time, which thankfully it didn't do a lot of in this run. But it does this a lot. It is painful.
Maybe I do Dual Blades VS Drilltusk in the future? I really like this monster
