- A Beautiful Colorado mountain climbing Adventure up an amazing flower choked valley deep in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains and on to the Summit of Mt. Lindsey, 14,048'! There was a short section of Class 3 climbing up a headwall along the mid section of the summit ridge. Relatively easy climbing but, only if you are on route, caution and research is advised.
Thanks for joining on this mountain adventure with a good amount of dji drone footage included that captures the rugged splendor of this incredible area.

Karl, you may be the most underrated UA-camr. Amazing stuff.
Thanks, very much appreciated! Karl 👍👍
Absolutely spectacular video. Just jaw-dropping. *This* is how hiking/climbing videos should be made.
Very big thanks on that one! Always enjoyed the editing process, putting out the best product I can , taking into account doing the hike/climb myself or with a friend. My. Lindsey can possess surprising beauty with the right conditions. Thanks, Karl 👍
The Sangres are absolutely spectacular. Most beautiful mountains in Colorado.
We're lucky to have them here to enjoy! Appreciate the comment, Karl 👍
Beautiful video! Thank You!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Karl 👍
Another Karl Decker masterpiece, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Was a great surprise just how beautiful that whole area was, unbelievable amount of flowers that year too.
Amazing video!!! Thank you for posting. I just bought property in westcliffe and can’t wait to start exploring the sangre de christo mountains
Glad it was helpful! You are in an incredible area, congrats!
What a dramatic mountain and ridge. Hope they work out the issue with owner so we can hike it again
I think it will reopen, sounded like they are making headway! It was soo beautiful in the valley. . . flower mania, and the upper reaches were great too! Long drive in though on kinda rough roads. I did it at night, nervous after seeing that bear and "Thriller" came on the radio. It was classic and got me all excited to go for it! I was nervous about having the broken wing at the time too, my biceps tendon was recently ruptured and I was getting surgery 3 days later, OMG. All went well though!
@@KarlDeckerPresents Being able to hike that mountain and climb a class 4 ridge with a ruptured bicep is the stuff of legend man :). Glad you have healed from that injury
Gorgeous views! Thanks for sharing
It's a super special place, you guys should come out and see some of these places! Thank's for dropping by!
Rocket mountain wonderful
Thanks for the comment!
wow glad i found your Chanel! Fantastic quality. Nice to have the difficult parts of the climb so clearly mapped out in high res. You deserve way more views!
Hey thanks for the nice comment, glad you appreciate what we're doing here...having fun producing as high a quality production as possible!! Please share your faves with a few friends, thanks again 👍
Absolutely beautiful
Highly recommended, I think this one would be good for you!
that said, be warned, it is a long drive on a roughish road. . . I can climb the easiest class 5 now. Do you want to think about the weekend after next for Indian peaks? I can handle doing it however for sure, was climbing 3rd class in the rain yesterday on Grays, Super EPIC FOG rolling up the mountains! It was amazing and you shall see all the best of it!
Really cool footage great looking area . Those are some gnarly rock faces. Nice climb.🤙
Glad you enjoyed, it was awesome!
This footage is absolutely breathtaking! Thank you for sharing this magic.
Glad you enjoyed it! Karl 👍
One of my favorites ... the gully wasn't too bad. Approach was beautiful
Agree 👍! If you check out the Iron Nipple vid you'll see very cool perspectives of Lindsey. Karl
Beautiful photography, I am sad to say that last summer I got off track after the main water crossing(maybe a bit over a mile in) and I missed the uphill valley to climb. I ended up in the valley towards Blanca Peak and then I figured out my mistake and tried to climb over that ridge back towards the proper trail. Got into some really sketchy steep, loose rock and because of time, bailed out and went back to TH. I so look forward to coming back, but I have already climbed Wetterhorn and Sneffels this summer!
Hey Karl! Loved the “Google Earth 🌍” sequence. Worked a treat! Geese your arm now! Hope it’s ok. Smooth flying & spectacular scenery, coupled with perfect soundtracks & fine editing always look excellent in your work. Congratulations on another spectacular video in the “Adventure Zone”
It was a great experience, I am working on the google earth thing, that one worked but Im working to get better at it. Worked on it today with a new edit! Thank you for the compliments! Your turn Brother! You've been making some big strides yourself!
Thanks Karl. Currently the entire state of NSW is in a complete lockdown. We can only leave our homes within a 3 mile radius. And even then only for essential items like groceries or exercise. Cops 👮♀️ & army issuing big fines ($5,000) if you are caught outside your home without a mask 😷 and/or reasonable excuse of why you are out. Consequently it’s difficult to risk flying at present.
wtf - i can't make myself go near cliffs and you climb up one with a broken ligament?
props to you, beautiful hike.
Yeah thanks, that climb wasn't too rough, the worst part was trying to manage the selfie stick, etc. It healed remarkably quickly. Appreciate the comment 👍! Karl
I tried to climb Lindsey, but I ended up on Lohan.
Was that because of the conditions I'm assuming? Thanks for the comment!
Excellent work. Ive got 19 summits and got sick a bit. I have driven on all sides of the BLanca group and it is such a powerful range. Thanks and stay safe
Selfie stick shots are useless we want more trail and mountain- Less you ! Stop using the zoom, we cant make out features when the video is constantly zooming and panning
No Problem, there are many channels with me not in them at all, 😉. I would appreciate a link to a similar video you like better as an example if you can find one? Thanks for your feedback.
I enjoy the 360 fisheye panoramas, it’s an awesome effect, and gives a different airy perspective of the world
