I was there and I was 16. I was a little delinquent. I had bought a ticket for my brother Harvey too. There was a square purple carpet with a white star in the center which someone came out and vacuumed. Midnight Rambler was my theme song. During the crescendo Mick whipped the floor with his scarf.

@@teleguy5699 ….. that’s the same thing I feel. The songs felt like they were on a tempo that was too fast. Listen to a song like jumping jack flash after 69-71….. Mick is singing so fast, it’s hard to even understand his words.
They still rock. I still like them at any phase, actually. But just personally, I like the slower , bluesier ,takes on the songs around 69. The “under my thumb’ I’m free” combo at Altamont sounded so funky and bluesy.
So I’m not putting down the Stones, just stating a preference on my part. The Stones are in my top 5 bands of all time

The Stones best live era in my opinion. Just love the rawness and discreet playing in which every instrument is heard. Some of the Stones future live music got to be overly erratic with too much going on. But still good of course. Ya Ya’s has made me so bias🙄 BTW…you can here Stu truly well and how his playing influenced their sound especially on Berry songs. And, Mick sings at his best in 69!!!

On the shirt, on his chest, was the omega - like symbol of Leo, the sign of the king or president, a fixed fiery sign: proud, energetic, domineering, authoritative.'
