There’s something pretty important left out of the Procreate part. The reason why it’s very limited is because each frame is a single layer (and then you have these individual layers for each frame), and Procreate has a *frame limit.* This means that you have a limited amount of frames you can make. Thus, you can have a super-short animation, but nothing big. Procreate would be an absolutely amazing animation app if the frames weren’t layers.
I wonder if camera work is available with Callipeg, and wonder how long the animation can be. For example, with Clip Studio Paint Pro, it is limited to 24 frames.
@@絵描き-y5d We are currently focusing on the transformation layer. Audio support will probably come in 2021 and camera layer will follow. There is no duration limitation for your animation: you can make animation until your iPad storage is full.

@@aoterou how so? I spoke to the creators of Callipeg and there are features that a daily animator must have that it does not. Off the top of my head, audio support.
I am surprised that none of these apps have a feature where they can fill in frames. In other words the most labor intensive thing about animating is having to draw every single frame. It seems like the biggest advantage to using computers for animation is that the software should be able to do some of the work for us. For example I draw a ball flying through the air in frame one and frame ten and ask the app do draw the frames that would occur in between. Aren't there any apps that can do this?

I used flipaclip but im thinking on trying one of the other apps because I have a few bad things about it that I dont like: -it has very limited tools -the bucket tool is very bad quality, and it leaves spots which you have to color by hand -the layers have very easy settings, but you cant do anything with them. Unless you buy the premium, you cant merge layers, and you cant make over 3. Theres no settings for the layers, opacity is unchangable and so...

Hey Rainbow! nice seeing you here again :D . Line weight and quality are good topics, would you like to see me covering them on traditional or digital media?
I think procreate is good for simple animation, but definitely not if you want smooth long animations. You can’t really import sounds, and layers are limited, you have to make groups of layers for frames you want to have multiple layers. It’s a good software though, best for just drawing.
procreate is good for cleaning up animations though. For example, if i were to make an animation in flipaclip i can import it to procreate and colour it there since flipaclip is more limited on brushes and layers, where procreate shines. Thats what i plan to do when i get my ipad soon :)
