That captures the royalty and the King-ness of the Lions. WALKING ALONE AND STRONG. And not to mention that beautiful mountain in the backdrop

So thrilled with the shots you got and telling the story of bringing people closer to wildlife and the issues reflecting that to protect their environment. Also loved your A7SIII film some month ago about filming wildlife. Would love to participate as a Behind the Scenes Filmmaker for some of your future projects with Sony ;). Thanks a lot for sharing your views as a photographer and cinematographer.

As a Nikon dslr user for some 25 years(sport/news/moon) I’m looking to change to mirrorless, was the big glass a 600 f4 , and does Sony have any plans to release a 800mm f5.6? I’ve read canon are and that would definitely work for me

Do you know if this has automatic focus bracketing? It should do at this price.

Stunning work Chris. I have one question though, I have previously watched you video on Sony A7SIII for wildlife documentation. From video perspective is Alpha 1 better than A7S series?

  • @mypicturesbox

Are you using the Sony A1 only for Photography or Video, too?

    • @schmidchris

Chris, what was the majority of this video captured with?
By the way, it was all exceptional! I approve of every second of it. I particularly liked the clip next to the vehicle going through the tall grass and also the one moving with the cheetah.

Love this product, squarely aimed at top flight professionals, £6500 for Body alone, everything to do with the camera is expensive.
It's ticks all the boxes for me, anyone reading this please don't hesitate to gift me one of these 👍🏾

Lots of talk but nothing said. Was this about the camera or about you? I was hoping for some insight into how suitable the A1 is for wildlife photography. Didn’t get it....

    • @schmidchris
      @schmidchris  4 роки тому +3

The images talk for themselves I think. I'm not a UA-camr or reviewer but a photographer. My goal on this video wasn't to talk too much about the camera specs but show of what is capable. For more images with the A1 check my website

You said fragility of eco-systems, human conflicts ? Thing is, Sony uses children mining Cobalt, from Congo Dongfang Mining (Amnesty International report 2016). Of course, we can use technologies to talk, and fight for social, climate issues as I try. Just do we need to promote and buy the last electronic innovations ? As responsible individuals, we shouldn't, it's like taking a flight to plant a single tree :-P For my company, I use only refurbished, 2nd hand products, or ecological DIY alternatives. 88% of French people change phones as they still work 100% !! I bet easily on the same numbers for cameras. We are drugged by adverts and high-techs. But, we kill the biodiversity as we mine new materials, we access to these technologies because millions of slaves or children mine for us. "Thank you babies !" So, to make it simple : If you want to care about eco-systems, human conflicts, avoid showing/promoting your 4x4 and new camera. But focus on NGOs, associations, citizen's initiatives, ethical/ecological local stores & brands. Thanks:) Peace from France/Greece

Blah blah blah blah...They say exactly the same phrases in every camera brochure since at least the 60’s.

@@sjm.photos Not commercially available but yes, Leitz had AF patents in the 60’s already. The phrases I’m referring to are not about AF and sound just like those from 60’s.

Walking around with a lens that could feed the local village for a year and talking about making a connection.
    What a joke.
