Love the video. I just ordered a IE ECU tune for my MK7 GLI. Cant wait to install! Ill be also tuning my MK6 GTI love you can so that with IE. Do more VW MK6& MK7 content guys keep it up.
Just tuned my mk6 gti with IE's Stage 1 and damn it feels good. I might install my SPM downpipe today and go Stage 2 whenever they upload my credits to my dongle.
I know a lot of people like to do intakes, but there are tests that show how good the MK7 stock intake is. It flows as good if not better than an APR intake and all you have to do is pull the snow catcher to make it flow better.
Exactly what I did, pulled the snow grate and put in a K&N filter and opened up the front area of the intake on the drivers side. Nice difference actually. And so much cheaper than one of those 'hot air' intakes that he put on :)
How long did the tune take to download? I've seen 15min to about half HR from other companies. I saw a video where a dude said it took 1hr for him to upload the IE tune on his mk7. Is that true? IE tune takes 1hr to upload to the car?
Yes, In drive mode its off unless you go full throttle and it’ll pop. But in sport mode it pops and bangs and you can get more pops if you give it a tiny bit of gas as you’re decelerating. Usually pops the best at 3-4K rpm’s
IE had a great stage 2 crackle tune.. it sounded beautiful, they update it and now it barely sounds and when it does sound terrible.. Not recommended anymore
I’m really surprised IE recommends an intake for their Stage 2 tune. An aftermarket intake, whether open or closed, has been proven time and time again, not to do anything for this car. The open intakes have been tested to actually provide less airflow than stock. The only reason I can see why they recommend it is so people buy their intake. Also, better hope your turbo doesn’t blow with the diverter valve spacer on there. In other words, I highly recommend you going into the VW forums before you purchase things that don’t do anything for the car and/or could possible hurt the engine.
Jace’s Own World yes and no. check out mygolfmk7.com the owner tested several intakes and inlets including a modified stock box with actual flow bench numbers.
Loving the gti content!
Just picked up my MK7 so I’m definitely excited for more GTI videos!
Alex bringing the rain with his airbox lol
Feeling nostalgic when you guys use to do videos with the Mk5 and Mk6! PLEASE INCLUDE MORE GTI STUFF ELI :D
Crackle tune. Let’s GO!
Nice Alex! The GTI sounds great!
Dang, that's a lot nicer to work on than the Mk6 having to get under the car for the DV.
And MKV. So much room on the MK7

@@vroomgc we put them on cause they sound good lmao I don't care if I lose 5 ho
@@Fizzglg All good, and yes there is more sound from it I agree. I did one some 10 years back in my 2010 Genesis 3.8 coupe so I get it.
Best next MOD would be a I.E. inter cooler.... best supporting mod for a tuned mk7.
Sounds great!
+1 for mk7 vids. Any turbo flutter with that new dv?

Are you running a ie dsg tune as well ?
can you only select one stage 2 tune or can you select multiple within the stage 2 folder
You only needed that intake?
Coz i have a also ie stage 2 crackles tune but is not that loud ASAP
Can you toggle the pops on and off pretty easily? Or can you control them with throttle pretty easily?

Do u have a stock catback exhaust? Here or aftermarket catback exhaust
Stock, with a downpipe
IE had a great stage 2 crackle tune.. it sounded beautiful, they update it and now it barely sounds and when it does sound terrible.. Not recommended anymore
I’m still deciding between ie stage 2 or eqt stage2
Which one would u recommend?
IE supports flex fuel, EQT never will be able to because of Cobb limitations. I’d do IE every day of the week
Stock exhaust? (Catback)
Does it pop in eco mode?
How’s the car a year later guy?
?
Can you turn off the crackles?
Yep its a certain Yune that you select to get the crackle. You can do a stage 2 without it

no matter what i did my gfb dv+ wouldnt hold together snapped.... lucky lol
Pov Vid next??
Dills drives like a grandma, you’ll just see him doing 25mph in 30mph zones the whole video 😂
That always means: fractions / decimals! You totally, screwed up!
Race a b7 a4 2.0t stage 2 to see how it compares just wanna see how much difference for scientific research
It’s not even going to be remotely close. This car stock would beat that car haha
@@IgnitionTube haha dang worth a try
@@IgnitionTube lol a stock gti beating a stage 2 a4 quattro?
Should of went EQT
Shifting is so much more fun though, who cares about loosing boost on the street?
Drive it before you shit talk I had a mk4 vr6 in manual and I love my 2016 gti autobahn
I went from a MK6 manual to a MK7 DSG.
Skip that dv+ and stay OEM DV.
Why? it hold boost better than stock
hey guys, i have that same car pls send me car parts pls pls
