Not much to say about this one. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is one of my favorite games ever, having played it last year. I've never played the original Xenoblade, so I'm very excited for the Definitive Edition!
The real reason that I picked this song was because of my mom! Because of quarantine, I haven't seen my mom in quite a long time, and I know she likes to listen to my solo piano renditions of songs. I picked this song because it's a song I love, and I think it's just the style of music that she'd like to listen to! Happy Mother's Day, mom :)

The melody at 1:14 gives me chills EVERY TIME I listen to it. Probably my favorite leitmotif in game music ever.

That would be great! For recommendations, I think Yggdrasil could work very well with your type of covers, and also check out The Ancient Vessel, it only plays in the tutorial so you might have forgotten but I think it’s really beautiful and hella underrated.

Just finished my second playthrough of Xenoblade 2 and I couldn't be happier to see this. I adore the soundtrack of the game and its definitely my favorite of all time. Nice work and I'd love to see more from you on this game!

Absolutely beautiful and touching given the context of Mother’s Day~ I hadn’t realized how much I missed your solo piano covers, I think one the first ones I listened to was Sky Tower from your Summer of piano covers. That said this was great, and with Definition Edition coming out for the original XC, I’d love if you could give that iconic title theme a try in the near future. Best of luck with returning to your Year of Sinnoh though!

Sadly, I can't read music, and learned it through a UA-cam video. So when I fell in love with the Torna Golden Country Title Screen song even more than this song, I naturally looked for a similar video but couldn't find one! Still waiting on one some day.

Where We Used To Be and all the different tracks it appears in one way or another in never fail to make me emotional and give me the shivers. It's probably my favourite leitmotif in gaming not counting Mother 3 Love Theme (Mother 3 in general is brimming with them). I love this game and its music so much.
The leitmotifs in Mother 3 are so good! I'm a huge sucker for good leitmotifs, which is probably why Mother 3 and XBC2 (and Final Fantasy IX) are my favorite OSTs.
@@andrewjer3527 I haven't played FFIX (a friend of mine says it's one of his favourite games of all time so I'll take your word), but same, leitmotifs get me going. Mother 3 is my favourite game of all time and happens to have my favourite OST of all time, but Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is by no means any less wonderful. Insaneintherain has been really pampering me as of late, since Pokémon DPPt OST is also among my very favourites. I'm glad to find someone with a similar taste to mine, I know there are bound to be more people who love these OSTs but it makes me happy to see someone just stating it.

This was incredibly beautiful and it touched my soul. Especially at a time where we are all so vulnerable. I personally just had to say a lot of goodbyes to people who had been in my life for so long and I never thought I would have to nor wanted to say goodbye. The title and the piece itself sum it up perfectly. Sometimes you just want to go back to where you used to be, but can’t.

Glad you love Xenoblade 2! As you can tell by my icon, I love Xenoblade; it's an amazing franchise. You will LOVE Xeno 1's remake; I consider 2's soundtrack superior as it has consistent leitmotifs that it develops, but 1 is still god-tier. 1's story is better than 2's, and with 1's less sexist character designs, 1's story has literary value IMO. I also highly recommend Xeno X if you ever get the chance to play it! Its soundtrack is almost as good as 2's, and the progress you make from ground to mech to flying exploration is so satisfying. Botw has more freedom in its story progress, but Xeno X is still an amazing open world game with truly alien environments.
