It’s pretty solid. But there are so many games that also are crazy good. Indie Games off the top of my head such as Hollow Knight, Ori and the Blind Forest (absolutely insane OST), any of Super Giant Games, then more main stream franchises such as Fire Emblem’s banger OSTs such as Shadows of Valentia, maybe Halo Reach or 3, there’s just so many gorgeous music from games.
etrian odyssey games are masterpieces as well. Its so hard for me to pick the best. Theres some insane talent across the industry. The final fantasy series as well.
Hi, im Josh, i cant express the emotions i feel when i hear each of these Melody’s, when i was 13 i had everything school friends both my parents, suddenly i got diagnosed with Leukemia, for 2 years straight i fought i lost all my friends, my education, i played OOT when i was 4 but i kept playing that game it gave me strength to fight Wisdom to calm my parents and the Courage to go to the hospital, when i got cancer free i lost a friend in the hospital that i’ve met he also loved Zelda we would talk all night in the hospital about it,now im 30 i have a daughter i named Hylia, and am happily married and each and every time i hear this every cell in my body reacts to it sadness happyniss sorrow strength love. Thank you for reading a story out of my life, i wish you all the best in Life.
God bless you Zelda is awesome and you are amazing glad you made it and sorry for your friend from the hospital may you and your family be well always.
People are just standing around ignoring it, I can’t comprehend being so boring as to not go over and listen, this is amazing even if I’d never heard these songs.
As a Gen Xer that just turned 44 I’ll never forget that first Zelda music for original Nintendo. The gold cartridge. The “north west south west” through the forest.
Like little koroks mingling at a wedding taking place at the foot of the Deku Tree in the Lost Woods. “For dinner, choice of single grilled hearty shroom or steamed mushroom medley kabobs with wild Hylian rice. Both entrées to be served with Silent Princess salad with a korok seed vinaigrette.”
Amazing how a string of notes can evoke such feelings of nostalgia in a person. The moment I heard the intro to Zelda's lullaby I was taken back to my days as a middle schooler coming home, throwing down my backpack, flopping down on my old beanbag chair and flicking on the power button on the N64. I truly miss those days man. God bless you for the wonderful trip back through time. It really means so much. Thank you 🙏
The whole atmosphere, with the crowd in the background talking & just being in real time while the pianist plays all these classic melodies is pure gold
A few years ago I was at a top restaurant in my city. Our group got seated right before the pianist came to start his set and about a half hour in he started playing the great fairy fountain theme. I instantly spun around and gave him the thumbs up of approval. Too bad it I was the only person at our table and in the immediate vicinity that knew what he was playing.
It’s disappointing no one reacted. There must not have been any Zelda fans. Anyone who’s played ocarina of time would recognize the melodies. I still remember how thrilled I was to receive it for Christmas and playing it for the first time. Thank you for posting!
You, in another 50 yrs, at a reunion.......... When a soft medley plays over the hall..... and you feel your ears perk up! A smile comes over your face and a calmness you haven't felt in decades takes over. A calmness unbound by paying bills or being on time for work everyday. A feeling of bliss that only a carefree youth could feel. You remember a person you once were......
I'm sorry to all the new Zelda fans, but OOT has by FAR the best music! It's not even close. I wish they cared as much now as they did in the past about stuff like music and story. The music was simple and so beautiful! Thank you for playing this!
All the music in that game was based off the 4 or 5 notes you could use to play the ocarina. I will say their worse Zelda game Skyward sword had a really good OST as well with BOTW being 3rd.
The game itself was centered around music through Ocarina. And I wish all Zelda games had music power like that. MM had it, Twilight princess a little with the howling and it just went downhill from that
I'm not disagreeing. Oot will always be the most special loz game for me. And the oot title screen music is one of my favorites from any genres of music. But botw is in the running for sure. The rito theme, the castle music, and a few others from botw are absolutely incredible.
Why is it hard to breath when I hear him play these songs..? Is it the thought of how fast this life has passed me by? Is it the sadness I feel that I’ll never be able to experience something so magical as the first time hearing these songs as a kid? Or is it just the overwhelming beauty of the melodies that takes my breath away..?
If you started playing fairy fountain at my wedding id start freaking out that song holds a special place in my heart from being a kid and playing Zelda
Music is such a powerful thing. I immediately got hit with nostalgia and didnt realize I had tears rolling down until 3 minutes in. I was fully immersed. Thank you.
You must be getting old like me, brotha. Literally anything makes goddamn eye-holes leak these days 😅😖😖 I got a juvenile bird at home I rescued yesterday and every time I hold her I get teary-eyed
You played it absolutely perfectly. The Zelda ambiance actually blended perfectly with the background noises / conversations. I'm sure you made this wedding feel very magical. Just like Zelda Ocarina of Time felt to us, thank you for sharing!
I don't know what you mean when you say "in the time"? As in, back then? Back then, music played a huge role in much of the music. Nothing can beat those days. Killer Instinct's actual musical album is also a masterpiece. And the last great musical piece ever created for videogames, Halo's theme song, was the last time we'll ever get another masterpiece piece of music for any videogame era. There's nothing that's come out since that I can think of that has had any sort of impact.
I just cried tears of joy my brother after a sad day of cleaning up my aunts tombstone today... 😢 Thank you ❤❤❤ It was the first time i ever saw it and the last time we met was when she held me as a 6m old baby... She past the following week
Koji is a genius. Such beautiful music for something that was just meant to be fun. I never really understood how beautiful the soundtrack is. It’s special and you don’t get that effect with most games anymore.
The fact that no one can ever imagine that this fancy place is in presence of a game music player is what makes videogames amazing, it doesnt seems the song doesnt belong there or anywhere else :')
As a big ugly 40 plus year old lump of a man (lol) I would've probably teared up and stood next to you, mesmerised. Zelda will always be my favourite, fond memories of a simpler time grown up playing the originals in the 80's and 90's. Fantastic
I remember playing the game as a kid thinking the title theme and intro was lame but as an adult, man does the theme hit hard at 0:46. Such a bittersweet melody about how quickly time passes. Fantastic rendition of the song. Really brought me back to that 12 year old kid watching Epona ride through the field back in 98.
@@08Derrock As kids, we were often more interested in the action than we were in the melancholy and no-action opening sequence. We wanted to go on the adventure, not watch a cutscene.
@@iciclecold2991 man, I disagree. As I mentioned before, I was 8 when it came out and I felt like it was the perfect opening. It set a tone of a magical world filled with wonder that I could get lost in lied ahead. I guess everyone is different!

Indeed
etrian odyssey games are masterpieces as well. Its so hard for me to pick the best. Theres some insane talent across the industry. The final fantasy series as well.
Best music of any piece of entertainment ever
The fact no one was like "HEY, LISTEN!" Just lets you know that marriage won't last long.
Hi Bro thanks for sharing your story, hace a good life and keep playing ❤
❤🙏
Wow full body chills. I wish you and your family the best.
That is beautiful
God bless you Zelda is awesome and you are amazing glad you made it and sorry for your friend from the hospital may you and your family be well always.
Guy walking in at 4:44 passed the vibe check. My man.
That guy Is Darunia
Hahha he knew … he knew … “listen”
@@jyorchhaha!
He probably played the game, but even if he didn't lost woods is so catchy wouldn't surprise me if he didn't.
If I was at this wedding and I started hearing the OoT title theme playing, I'd start breaking down into tears.
😆😅🤣🤢🤮
It's hard for me not to tear every time I hear it, honestly.
People are just standing around ignoring it, I can’t comprehend being so boring as to not go over and listen, this is amazing even if I’d never heard these songs.
Same here. It would be too much nostalgia to handle in public
ok relax softie
As a Gen Xer that just turned 44 I’ll never forget that first Zelda music for original Nintendo. The gold cartridge. The “north west south west” through the forest.
Very nice of you not to play the Song of Storms on their wedding day!
That would have been great. Or Ganondorf's theme.
I’m not happy about it. I don’t think the guests would even know if they got wet
Wouldn't that have been IRONIC?
Que 😄 risaaaa
🎶It’s like raaaaiiiiiinnnnn…. On your wedding day!!😅
You could say that wedding reception was LEGENDARY
I absolutely love the chatter in the background almost accompanying the arrangement.
Relax with zelda music in a lounge type beat
The harmonies in "Great Fairy's Fountain" are beautiful
Thanks to Claire De Lun
Truly one of the greatest video game soundtracks in gaming history. Its elegance in its simplicity is unmatched!
Final Fantasy has entered the chat
@@JaGGeR- theres a reason they said "one of"....stop being a twat🙄🙄🙄
nope not true at all
@@JaGGeR- noticed I said One of. FFX is on par with Zelda OOT
A few years ago I was at a top restaurant in my city. Our group got seated right before the pianist came to start his set and about a half hour in he started playing the great fairy fountain theme. I instantly spun around and gave him the thumbs up of approval. Too bad it I was the only person at
our table and in the immediate vicinity that knew what he was playing.
That guy dancing to the lost woods music, we have found Darunia! He was trying to not shout "YAAA, HOT, WHAT A HOT BEAT, YAHOOOOO!"
😂😂😂
your comment made me laugh 😂
No matter what, OoT title theme always makes me teary eyed
indeed
A good case of frisson 💪🏿
Does the peice, Gymnopedie no. 1, do the same for you as well?
Man you killed these songs ❤
It’s disappointing no one reacted. There must not have been any Zelda fans. Anyone who’s played ocarina of time would recognize the melodies. I still remember how thrilled I was to receive it for Christmas and playing it for the first time. Thank you for posting!
Why do you expect!!? Is a white people weeding the most boring weddings I ever was invited 😂😂😂
It’s 2024 no one knows who Zelda is lol
@@LilHondaCivic808 Maybe Ocarina of Time, but Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are still very popular
Lost Woods get me every time... It's so nostalgic!!
Bruh you can def see one guy in the background who is looking over and noticed haha. I think people knew
I feel melancholic seeing that no one stand near the piano to hear, if i was there i enjoy it like a child ❤
That was beautiful brother, don’t know why but im kinda crying.
Because music touches your soul
Salt in the air eh?
I know right!!
Me too bro
same, buddy. same.
The way he played Zelda's Lullaby almost brought a tear to my eye 👏🏾🥹
You, in another 50 yrs, at a reunion.......... When a soft medley plays over the hall..... and you feel your ears perk up! A smile comes over your face and a calmness you haven't felt in decades takes over. A calmness unbound by paying bills or being on time for work everyday. A feeling of bliss that only a carefree youth could feel. You remember a person you once were......
Damn ninjas cutting onions 🥷
04:30 was checking to see if he lost his mind or not 😂
I'm sorry to all the new Zelda fans, but OOT has by FAR the best music!
MM had it, Twilight princess a little with the howling and it just went downhill from that
The Fairy Fountain theme and Zelda's Lullaby are from A Link to the Past.
I'm not disagreeing. Oot will always be the most special loz game for me. And the oot title screen music is one of my favorites from any genres of music.
But botw is in the running for sure. The rito theme, the castle music, and a few others from botw are absolutely incredible.
Agreed OOT is the most memorable, but Hyrule Castle in BOTW is 🔥
Respect to this guy for being a great musician, and respecting the wedding party and photographer(s) by blurring the faces. You eat, we ALL eat.
Sounds fun
Everyone at the party left with their magic bar duplicated.
For some reason the background noise of the people adds a certain and delightful ambience to this wonderful performance. Thanks man
If you started playing fairy fountain at my wedding id start freaking out that song holds a special place in my heart from being a kid and playing Zelda
There had to have been at least one person there who truly knew what he was playing. I wouldn’t be able to contain myself if I was there. Great job.
Gerudo Valley actually got them to come to the piano. Hands down the best song of the game.
That and the Spirit Temple music
One person walked over lol
@@cidfacetious3722 i counted the 2 that stopped as coming over
Song of Storms and Bolero of Fire
@@tonyattardo9350 oh i love those too
You played it absolutely perfectly. The Zelda ambiance actually blended perfectly with the background noises / conversations. I'm sure you made this wedding feel very magical. Just like Zelda Ocarina of Time felt to us, thank you for sharing!
Making the wedding feel magical is the most beautiful and moving sentiment about this scene, oh my gosh 🤗😭
In the time when music means nothing in videogame, Zelda ocarina of time creates the most iconic and beautiful videogame music of the history.
I loved how it had the ocarina as such a major piece of the game too. We used to all meet at someone's house to figure out how to beat the temples
You gotta search for the games where music matters to the game, and its story
I don't know what you mean when you say "in the time"? As in, back then? Back then, music played a huge role in much of the music. Nothing can beat those days. Killer Instinct's actual musical album is also a masterpiece. And the last great musical piece ever created for videogames, Halo's theme song, was the last time we'll ever get another masterpiece piece of music for any videogame era. There's nothing that's come out since that I can think of that has had any sort of impact.
I disagree, up to the ps2 era not just music but audio design played a major role in game design, something that has abandoned in AAA games at least.
Link to the Past already some bangers and used in subsequent games
Not a single person recognized anything
Goes to show everyone’s typical age in that room lol
Nice job
Every time I listen to the Great Fairy's Fountain I cry a little bit, it is such a beautiful piece!
Great performance! 👏👏
Thank you :)
It reminds me of a classical piece of music. Can't remember which tho lol
Me tooo 😢😂
I just cried tears of joy my brother after a sad day of cleaning up my aunts tombstone today... 😢 Thank you ❤❤❤
It was the first time i ever saw it and the last time we met was when she held me as a 6m old baby... She past the following week
Sorry to hear that. Hope you find yourself in a good place soon x
Koji is a genius. Such beautiful music for something that was just meant to be fun. I never really understood how beautiful the soundtrack is. It’s special and you don’t get that effect with most games anymore.
It was my wedding yesterday and i promise you would have had 60% of the crowd gathered around the piano, that was beautiful, bravo!🔥🔥
Congratulations on your wedding!
@@jc4428 thank you so much!🙏🏾

In the very small chance I ever get married, I may have to find and request these services at my wedding. Absolutely nailed it.
4:55 -- Notice the dude who looks like a gamer casually jamming out. Golden.
The casual chatter in the background make this all the more lovely.
You play the pieces beautifully, this brought me to tears🥹💖
Good taste in instrumental music! Great idea for a wedding and feels totally appropriate. No one would have a clue unless they were a gamer.
And if they were a gamer, they would appreciate it.
This made me emotional! Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has always been one of my favorite Nintendo games!
The composers of these piece did such a great job. Anyone really can appreciate these songs without knowing zelda
Koji Kondo ❤
The fact that no one can ever imagine that this fancy place is in presence of a game music player is what makes videogames amazing, it doesnt seems the song doesnt belong there or anywhere else :')
As a big ugly 40 plus year old lump of a man (lol) I would've probably teared up and stood next to you, mesmerised. Zelda will always be my favourite, fond memories of a simpler time grown up playing the originals in the 80's and 90's. Fantastic
Nice bugeye! I would post up next to ya too mang . This man killed playing the way he did 🔥
I remember playing the game as a kid thinking the title theme and intro was lame but as an adult, man does the theme hit hard at 0:46. Such a bittersweet melody about how quickly time passes.
Fantastic rendition of the song. Really brought me back to that 12 year old kid watching Epona ride through the field back in 98.
I’m genuinely curious how as a kid you could think it was “lame”? What should it have been? I remember at the age of 8 it was an incredible opening.
@@08Derrock It was the classic case of me being a boy who had an attitude problem while going through puberty. Telling people to suck it and playing Goldeneye was cool. Having a beautiful piano melody wasn’t something I would have considered cool or admit to it being a great intro at the time. Just me being a prototypical product of the times. If I was a little younger not worrying about being cool to fit in, I probably would have appreciated more.
@@seabicuit7247 thanks for sharing, seriously.
2:55 Imagine finding and meeting the love of your life in the middle of that wedding party, on that exact day, at the exact same time this dude was playing Zeldas Lullaby. Damn would that be magical 🤍
I play a bunch of Legend of Zelda (and other games) and often Studio Ghibli music at events as background noise, I'm a sound guy for an event hall. People always ask what its from. I get a kick when I tell them its from video games. They often do not believe me.
I love Zelda so much, my phone call sound is the "fairy fountain", the notification is the "Hey Listen" and the alarm is the "low health" sound
