If you’re looking for Thailand ideas then this place is a real Thailand hidden gem. The stunning views that Krok E Dok waterfall offers have to be earned. You will hike through the Thai jungle crossing rivers while ascending a mountain until you reach the beautiful upper levels of the waterfall.

Myself and @baldybrian attempted this hike once before and failed.

Karl - ANOTHER beautiful place you have gone above and beyond to show us.
Thanks for heading up there to showcase a stunning 'hidden' gem which but for your intervention I would know nothing about.
Glad once more that you have done the climb so I do not have to - I probably couldn't to be true.
Exhausted just watching...
Cheers Darryl, in some ways it’s a tough one
The falls are fantastic, beautiful, thank you for sharing the trip with us. What was equally amazing was that young guide of yours, she was scooting up those hills like she was walking down soi 7.
I think her weight definitely put her at an advantage
Congratulations Karl... Thanks for doing what you do. Bless up!
My pleasure b h
That waterfall is gorgeous and an amazing hike.
It is a stunning hike and location
brilliant again my friend !!! kenny b nottingham
Thanks Kenny
another brilliant video Karl xx
Very impressive and and I’m sure a great feeling of satisfaction.
It was great to finally make it after the near disaster of our first attempt Dan
Remember that first hike up there, and the swim in pool at lower level. Probably worth the guided tour as the falls are in higher flood state, and more spectacular now.
It’s spectacular Chris but IMO much better tackled in a group, there’s just too many dangerous points on the route up there
wow that is intense walking through the rushing water!! thanks for your efforts in filming and editing this video, really enjoyed it and can't wait for more 😁🙏
Thanks Kristina, glad you enjoyed it
@@karlsthailand you are welcome 🤗
Such an exciting adventure, thanks for taking us along
My pleasure Pornrut
Amazing waterfall 👍
Thanks. It’s stunning
The view was worth the climb as they say. Not w/o risk though. Magnificent Karl.
Cheers Serge
Tremendous jungle
Thanks, it is stunning
Beautiful place Carl,awesome trek.
Thanks Leonardo
Amazing you are the man. Taking the road less traveled
Thanks PB
Wow amazing, that looked quite hard, but worth it
It was tough Paul but worth it as you say. Thanks
Hey Karl, just saw you on Pete's channel, came over and subscribed. Nice talk with Pete.
Thanks Charlie, I enjoyed doing the interview too
Beautiful scenes looked like an exciting walk. Well done with your cute Thai guide positioning I would try and do something similar lol.
I just kept my gimbal straight ahead lol. It’s a demanding but rewarding hike up there Owen
great video again Karl
Cheers Gordon
For that hike, I would be wearing long pants with 10" Matterhorn military boots with Sierra Vibram soles, and my Outdoor Research Goretex gators. Darn tough wool mountaineering socks with a WigWam sock-liner too. I may have used my Kahtoola Microspikes as well. For sure my Black Diamond big gun harness would be worn so I could clip-on to the guide ropes and cables for extra safety in certain areas. Lastly a stout Brazos walking stick would also be with me too to tripod my body position as needed. I cannot wait to trek with you guys one day soon.
You sound like a kit man. It is a pretty dodgy hike full of my most hated terrain…slippery wet rock. About 18 months ago we attempted the hike on our own and it nearly ended in disaster (I did post a video). Look forward to it and thanks
Very nice video Karl, thank you.
Thanks David, hope you are well
Great place. Love it. Thanks 🙏
Thanks GK, glad you enjoyed the video
Looks awesome!
It was Mr Kwai, thanks
Great content, really enjoy your travels and storytelling.
Thanks very much Dan
@@karlsthailand Very keen to do that hike. It's seems to be a 3 hour drive from Bangkok, is the best way by bus, cheers.
Love your work Karl but I’ll say it again, you guys are nuts 🥜 😂😂
Thanks Mark, you know I enjoy an adventure lol
Hi Karl. Good stuff. Are u doing these regularly? I would like to follow what you are doing & join sometime.
Thanks Dana, yes I do a lot of hiking in Thailand. Please subscribe and keep in touch
Brilliant Karl, but after 40 b&h, im better just watching on youtube 🤣🤣
Thanks. Totally Pat, I understand you
Is this actually in the Khao Yai national park? I'm interested in doing this hike when I come to Thailand in November....Great content Karl I'm loving your videos. 👍
Thanks Tony, it’s on the Western border of Khao Yai but isn’t controlled by the National Park. Here’s a link to the location, the telephone number to reserve is in the video itself น้ำตกโกรกอีดก

It was a tough one Leroy. Thanks
Baldy brian had to bring his wife, To carry the first aid kit, and apply the bandages 😲🙈👍🤣 Was the girl with the yellow bag a guide karl?
Lol
@@baldybrian we love BB🤣👍♥️
@@almaxx9680 Thanks, pal.
Yes lol. The young girl was indeed our guide
So very atmospheric and picturesque trail. Gorgeous shots!
Thanks so much Ervenslens
Nice trip, but ugh, how you can twist your feet 👍
Cheers Anders, you certainly have to be very careful on this hike
UNREEL!!! Wow, at the 14.48 min that tiger leech nearly clasped on to you, i do not think you even noticed the tiger leech UNREEL!!!
I still haven’t noticed it lol. Leeches don’t bother me anyway. Thanks
Looks like an amazing hike Karl 👍 Great vlog 🙏🏻
Thanks, it was a demanding hike but with a reward at the end
Another epic hike Karl 👌 that Waterfall is awesome!
Thanks Mark
Where or what is the source of the waterfall? ❤️🇹🇭❤️🇹🇭❤️🇹🇭 Cool video.
It’s the water flowing down from Khao Yai National Park. Thanks น้ำตกโกรกอีดก

Thank God for the ropes, I think a few people might not have completed the hike without them. Looked like the ramblings of a crazed man at the end there Karl, standing on that rock lol...great video
It was certainly a relief to have made it up there Mark but we still had to get back too. Thanks
Amazing, and not an easy hike by any means. How rough was going back down?
It’s beautiful but definitely one to be treated with respect. Going down was faster but only because you don’t need as many rest stops, care needs to be take both up and down
Where in thailand is this
It’s here น้ำตกโกรกอีดก

That was an awesome hike Karl! Love the waterfalls and it’s a good thing there was a guide to take you guys up there …. Thanks for sharing this new video 😉
My pleasure Marietta and yes it was good to have guides and ropes as it’s pretty tough
Hiking is amazing, its simple , healty and its free 🙏
And it’s healthy too 😉

Indeed FFM
Did everyone make it up ? Good to see more people on the trip. Excellent content as always.
Thanks. As far as I am aware everyone in our group made it up and down successfully
Wow what a slippery trek to those super water falls . I don't think I would try as i could see a broken bone or two ! Thank you Karl , always a nice video ... Enjoy ...
It’s certainly a dangerous hike in places, glad you enjoyed the video
When you back in Pattaya mate ? I return 5/10/22
I’m here right now but always backwards and forwards. I’ll probably be there
@@karlsthailand ok see you there , I’m there till January
How does this hike compare to Erawan ? it looks alot more physical
This one is a lot more physical. Erawan is more traditionally beautiful but Krok E Dok has a wild beauty of it’s own
It was a lovely hike with nice ice-cold pools to cool off in. This time around, it was a lot easier to climb without all that bush whacking at the beginning.
Yes Brian it was a lot easier being on the organised hike and having the pathway clear and the route marked.
Here they go again with double pricing. Why is that, did u eat all their food supply ?! ^^
Yes, it’s discrimination pure and simple
@@karlsthailandIt is. I was excited to do the trail, not sure I'm still willing to go then.
i think i would do a helicopter ride . safer mate .
You’re probably correct Loz
i’d think spraining an ankle or worse on the slippery rock woipuld be very common. trying to get back with an injury would not be enjoyable.
For sure Donald there was plenty of scope for a sprained ankle or even worse as you say
