Before people say this one's straight copy of ML,Honor of kings was based on the League of legends and both owned by the Tencent company. HOK is a mobile MOBA released in 2015. It was made to be League's mobile game since Riot doesn't want to make wild rift at that time. The heroes here are fun and unique and ML did copied some of it from here.
I think ml is better, i tried playing hok and it's fun and easy. I would pick both
@@renzvalderama1704 I play both and found out that ML has better UI design and has smoother gameplay but in terms of mechanics and team play, HOK is better. They even have better skins in cheaper price than ML and lots of other free perks. That's why ML is being generous this year giving competition to HOK actually.

What a don't like about HOK is that most carries involve heroes like Lan and Li Bai. Which are high damage snowballing heroes, unlike in ML where Junglers are diverse like Barats, Fredrinn, Ling, and so much more. The fact that the Jungle role is limited to high bursty assassins in HOK made it a dissatisfactory experience for me. But it's my own opinion though, and HOK can be enjoyed by everyone ❤

@@kinglettergiletpanaguiton6129 I'd say part of the reason for that is because most HoK's carries still relied on basic atk for at least half of their total dmg, so they can't really go full tank build. HoK also lacks any spell vamp stuffs right now (aside from some built-in regen from heroes' skills), so skill spammers also don't have that much presence in the game

it's hard for me to remember each hero bcs :
1. They mostly use chinese names for most heroes.
2. The artstyle for hero portraits is sooo consistent that they almost look alike.
3. The fact that most heroes are also chinese themed with similar hairstyle and clothes.
I'd still invest some times to learn the game, if only the game was popular in my country.
Bcs it feels awkward to blame/provoke players from another country :)
I'd say after just 1-2 games using them, you can kinda tell which one is which. Assuming you are a new player, you can use the all hero trial and try most of them in Custom Mode.
Another good news (i guess) is since most of them are pretty close to MLBB's heroes (put aside who copies who), you can kinda treat some of the HoK heroes as MLBB ones, except better, worse, or with different roles. For example, Zhang Fei is practically old Minotaur (full rage bar to use ult), while Jing is a melee Natan with assassin skillset (mirror image).

i did try some heroes in practice mode, but only heroes with those roles.
i guess you do will remember each hero better when you play them at least once. but you can't deny that most of them looks similar righht??? especially melee heroes, bcs even their hair colors are either black, brown, or white.
anddd this actually makes me appreciate moonton that despite they're known for copying designs, but still make heroes facially unique enough (and good naming sense too).
ohh and i don't really care about 2 games copying each other, bcs it's soooo common in game development world.

@@rico6466 One thing i don't like about HoK though is how they sortedtheir hero list ONLY based on their lane, not their type (fighters, MM, etc). It's pretty annoying when i picked a random Clash Lane heroes and they turned out to be a squishy assassin who only usable there just because they don't need mana. Same goes for mid lane, there are times i unknowingly picked a support-oriented mid and ended up feeling really lacking in dmg

the healing spell is also pretty much useless, but they're recommended in every build when you play supports.
i once change it to flash/flicker, and the farmlaner asking "where's the heal" bruh.
Have to agree with some of the comments here. Honor of Kings is a fresh addition to the MOBA scene despite their "lack of graphics" even at full settings. Especially since I've played AoV, Wildrift and MLBB for a while now -and got stuck with MLBB - as most of my friends have been playing MLBB, and even joined tournaments and we won. I love how diverse the heroes here are and you can definitely report lane stealing, as well as players not fulfilling their pre selected lanes. Most players who know how to play MLBB are also good in this game.
Gotta agree with you, it IS pretty easy to transition from MLBB to HoK even as roamer due to similar skillsets. I'd even say supports in HoK are even more broken than MLBB (curious why Dolia is S tier, checked her ult, "oh, so that's why"xD).
Another thing that are very surpising for me is that despite half of the characters being, well, Chinese, they ended up pretty recognizable between each others, whether through in-game model or skillsets. That's largely thanks to the all hero trial, so i could try most of them in Custom game just to get the "feels" between most of them.
If the scene brightness is higher than recommended just any amount that's where the map shines, i wish everyone would just try it, it makes the feels.
Rather than Estes, I think it's more like Carmilla but very good😅

Either self damage + heal teammates or damage enemies + heal teammates
Or you just want damage damage them with 2k true damage

@@The_Divergentif I'm correct his ult relies on how much Hp you have to either heal or hurt so going tank on him or tank with a certain magic item that increases hp according to how much magic you have would melt anyone there's also the fact that you can reduce enemy defense with his 2nd skill too.

I used to played this and its also quite famous but I choose ML due to connection delay, its really hard to play sometimes (its like ML when they didn release speed mode).
Besides that, I used to main chainscythe red-haired assassin, He is quite fun to use as assassin every time you flip the hero

That's aov, so far I haven't experienced any connection delay in HoK
It's just been released globally. But you might be referring to AOV. Which also made me stop playing because of the connection issues.
But HOK has the option to use both data and wifi. Pretty good connection so far.
Played the game since it's global release. It was kinda easy at first even though you don't know the skills of your hero and your enemy, maybe because enemies is either Bot or New players also. I would say the real fun starts when you start to understand some heroes skills and how to play the game properly. I'm currently Master III right now and the I'm enjoying it a lot.
@@funtobefunny For me, trying MLBB's type of build in HoK is almost as fun as learning the heroes' skillsets. Most of the build i tried ended up better than expected. The best example of that is on magic heroes and rushing the flat PEN item (still don't remember the name).

You can also use advance tier card (don't know the exact namne). Winning 1 game and you can instantly a gold tier. And the real fun start from that point. Currently at diamond. Lazy Zhen is so fun to play. She's like overpowered and overbuffed aurora (ml)

@@iamzeix5228 That auto rank challenge is honestly a really smart move from the dev to "kickstart" players from other games that most likely already know the basics of MOBA. It REALLY saves your time by avoiding tedious and boring climbs to escape that first 2 ranks (equivalent to Warrior and Elite in MLBB).
Let's be real, even if all those skipped games are all walk-in-the-park for you, it'll still takes TOO long and feels like a waste of times. I mean, the total stars that you skipped by using the 2 auto rank challenges are 14 STARS, that's a whopping 14 GAMES MAX without any star boosts !!
EDIT : I'm personally have been spamming Milady after watching Hororo's last video, and man, she's just SO DIRTY to play with. On top of her ridiculous dmg, she can also locks turrets with her ult, making her REALLY HEINOUS at pushing even if the enemies all tried to defend

The matchmaking is horrible, you'll die of brain dmg when you see noob kids picking tank and going 1vs5. Besides no matter how hard you play as a assasin, the tank and exp laners will always bag the MVP (because of their participation), your kills won't matter .

@@DyeNau nah, I used to shit on ml, but after playing all these games I've been kinder to them. You can ez solo carry till epic (that goes for most players) and people in epic no matter how shit... atleast they won't pick tanks and go 1vs5, that's quite alright...

MY FAV HERO IN THIS GAME, his stats buff was good but i like his old skill more, no stats buff but big armor and heal, his damage is also good before. the revamp is kinda sucks but at least the damage buff is good tho

Nah I think this one is better, you can now do double linking and you don't have to sacrifice your own HP for healing or dealing damage with ultimate, you can do both at the same time now, very satisfying.

But the funny things is most new player in team think he giving heal🤣🤣🤣 skill 1 to buff ally and skill 2 to reduce enemy defense and skill 3 (i forgot) more buff to ur skill 1 ..and if u play estes u will love this hero, since his movement more faster than estes lol

HOK is actually More like AOV in the heroes and battlefield including the emblem but the spells is combined AOV and LOL i still remember the dstrupt in AOV and they removed it because of Tel'anas and HOK item is like LOL's but there is one item that is not in HOK that is in LOL and its the Collector item that is similar to sky peircer but doesn't have the stacking effect Compare the 3 if you want to know more but yes its hard to compare and test it altogether its a pain in my phone storage because i still use an huwawei nova 3 with a 120+gb of storage only and i also have cod and some games thats why i cant test it

Aquele mago do fogo do HoK precisa urgentemente de um revamp nas habilidades. Esses mobas de celular são muito frenéticos e por isso tem personagens que não podem ser lentos ao executar as habilidades.
O combo da Ângela na verdade é o contrário que ensinado em vezes de atordoar primeiro vc deve usar o de ataque daí o de atordoar e então a ult fazendo com que o inimigo fique mais tempo na ult causando mais dano e reduzindo o tempo de duração com o personagem parado.

@@GiuseppeCadura-8 lembrei quem é, Ângela também é de fogo kkk mas é mais o estilo dele se o inimigo tá próximo vc empurra pra longe com a primeira habilidade e isso basicamente acaba com qualquer jg, além do fato de que ele é mais final de jogo se modificarem capaz que estrague, tipo é pra causar um dano contínuo forte no final do jogo e no início limpa Lane muito fácil então na minha opinião não precisa de rework
@@GiuseppeCadura-8 that hero is my main, he doesn't need any rework his skill set is already perfect the problem was he need good position at teamfight, his skill also can burn the tower, his damage is a bit lacking on early game but after you have some core item you will deal crazy damage

I searched who is estes, and yes.. estes don't have advantage on him. I love honor of kings.
Its basically Alice. And I think Estes really need a revamp. His passive is basically useless. It will be interesting if his passive enhanced basic attack can stun enemy and also ally within his 2nd skill circle gives movement speed much like Xavier 2nd and 1st skill combo.

Arena of valor was the first "port" of Honor of Kings to the Western, so they brought a lot of heroes and stuff from HoK, and now HoK was finally has a global version so they will have some stuff from AOV... Which were actually always from HOK xd

@@fenrirthefenrir5476 What all aov had isnt owned by hok. Aov have a lot of it own unique heroes like butterfly, kerra,teera, tachi, Allain and a lot more. Itvis just aov dev are lazy or give up creating new heroes and importing heroes from hok. Hok is just importing popular heroes from aov for hok global players.

Oh the assassins in this game are way stronger than ml. The only actually sneaky assassin is prince of lanling the rest just run at you with high damage and cc

@@wirahadisasmita725 I’m not familiar with the tank items, but most heroes can fit defence items/pseudo defence items in their build. There’s an armor one which slows enemy attack speed and movement speed if hit by an attack, and there’s an mr one that gives you a magic damage shield after leaving combat. These 2 are quite powerful already and are used on a wide range of heroes who want to invest in some tankiness. No emblems, you choose only what stats you start the game with
Tanks in this game are actual tanks that can soak up damage and deal decent dmg too
After few days of trying to enjoy hok, after reaching gold 3, iam getting paired up with bots or rookie player continous loss. Deleted the game.

Btw, the skins in HOK are ways cheaper than ML. We can get collector standrad skins by giving about 10 times lower price.
Some of the skins are quite innovative. The Mythical Skin of DiaoChan has two fairies beside her. Ingame animation of that skin is also innovative. Her basic attack after dashing sends these two fairies to attack enemy. That is amazing concept.
