This series aims to show the best vehicles to use in GTA Online in a racing situation. That is, around a regular circuit with a mix of corners and straights. The word "Fastest" means nothing without some context - these are the fastest vehicles around a circuit. How Lap Times Were Obtained Accurately
The best lap time a vehicle can achieve around a circuit determines how good it is and therefore its place within this list.
Each vehicle was taken around the same circuit multiple times, with the best lap time being recorded. For most vehicles this equates to 10 laps per vehicle, but can often be more to ensure the absolute best lap time has been achieved with the vehicle. There are some caveats to this kind of testing though which are worth explaining below.

I recommend reading this for anyone who is confused, interested, or doubts the validity of the results in this video as it explains in great detail the extent to which these results will be useful for you personally, in addition to linking the track used for your own testing/comparison.*
So with that all being said, my vehicle testing should be taken as a guideline. The testing is very accurate for this track and similar tracks when cars are driven close to the maximum without any extra refinements. At the very least you should be able to use this testing to help narrow your field of view for your own personal testing. I would always recommend testing a variety of cars yourself and take into account what kind of tracks you're racing on, what is better for you and your skill level, and even your budget. My testing is meant to guide you, not tell you exactly what to use in every situation.

At this point, HSW needs its own class. This is insane. If you dont bring a HSW vehicle to a race, you automatically lose.
You can turn it off + there are hsw only races

A better and ideal fix is giving HSW mods for all land vehicles.

I like how random the top cars usually are. Like, out of all sports cars now the quickest is an EV Renault 5 and in supers it's a lambo with a gun turret strapped on the top.

and to note, it is rwd too. and it gets insane curb boosts, on the city I managed to easily get over 180mph by hitting tiny little bumps, not even actual curbs. it's so fast with boosting that it goes faster than the speedometer allows

@@apaxtoadigital speedos are accurate in this game, they're off only on old cars with the SSASSS and After Hours advanced handling flags.

The way it is right now, last gen is better off without these mods.
That is Rockstar's way of saving "Oh you want all this new stuff? Well too bad you're still on the console so buy a new console, buy a new copy of the game, and of course if you want to get all of these great Benefits from GTA Plus you have to get a subscription. Of course we can still add it on PC but we decided not too because well the new consoles are just so much better"

As a PC player I don't know if I should feel excited that my classes are a lot closer or upset that we have been relegated to "Old Gen" status.
Lmao HSW is one of the reasons kept the ps4 version for my ps5 until they recently allowed you to keeps your ps4 character and still migrate to next gen and just have both separate
I don't get why rockstar won't bump minimal specs already and align pc with next gen... like we are not above ps4 or even ps5 specs already...

I knew the HSW would be a class breaker when i first drove the normal one, especially with the insane grip it has.
It's still crazy how instead of adding HSW to news cars as well as giving older cars the HSW upgrade they deserve to make them relevant again, they only added HSW to new cars (for Drug Wars and San Andreas Mercenaries at least). At least the Criminal Enterprises DLC gave the Stirling GT an HSW upgrade but that was almost a whole year ago and since then, only new cars haven been given the next-gen treatment.
Because giving HSW mods to old cars won't give them more money...
@@pedinhu18 It would if they become the new fastest car in their respective class. Like if they made an HSW upgrade for the F620 to make it the fastest coupe or the Premier to make it the fastest sedan, people would be more willing to buy those older cars and then add a $1m+ HSW upgrade to them.

@grantwatson27yearsago14 I was opening the search bar to start typing 'Broughy1322' to search for his channel, and right when I was about to do so, the notification popped up that the video was released. I didn't know it was, hence I tried looking up his channel.
I haven't seen this mentioned yet, so I thought I'd point out that the La Coureuse is available as this month's free car for GTA+ subscribers in the Vinewood Car Club, and the one available to claim in the VCC garage comes with the HSW Upgrade as well as all HSW parts (everything except Mode Level 3; it comes with HSW Basic Mode Upgrade, but engine, suspension, etc is all HSW already). So for a measly $100K to upgrade the Mode to level 3 (and $75K for armor + bulletproof tires), GTA+ members can get their hands on the top sports car. It seems like the service somehow gets even more P2W each and every month.
That thing looks like an electric go-kart, and I am here for it.
Personally I feel HSW has ruined basically any class of vehicles that get the treatment. Prior to HSW upgrades, Muscle (well sorta, STX kinda ruined that prior), Sport and Supers were all decently balanced with 3-4 cars on top that were all similar pace, now each class in game is really ruled by 1 car.
I only wish that tuners class never receive HSW. The only class that is actually balanced among the 3 best cars (and even some cars like jester RR and growler can be competitive depending the track)
On Last gen and PC, the muscle class is balanced between the Buffalo STX, Weevil Custom and the Vigero ZX.
Current gen needs to have HSW mods for all land vehicles now or racing is just going to be abandoned just like Arena Wars was because of the insane pay-to-win shitshow.
I had a bad feeling HSW was going to ruin the balance of these cars and turns out Rockstar is doing exactly that.

PC Player - For a long time now I've only really played when there's something new, be it day one DLC content or the subsequent dripfeed to check out. This DLC however marks the first time that I've lacked any motivation to fire the game up. All of the youtube content is showing off career progression and monstrous HSW cars etc, while we're sitting here waiting for the one unpaid intern still working on this game to finish the "expanded and enhanced" version for PC. This is the sort of thing that a properly funded and staffed development team could whip out in no time at all, but of course that would cut too deeply into the shareholder dividends.
Assuming E&E for PC isn't just a content package with a shiny "can be released" stamp. R* is already gaslighting us on how removing cars from the in-game website catalogues is "an improvement to useability" while putting them behind the GTA+ paywall, I have no qualm believing E&E for PC is just held back by the deciders at the top, not the devs under them.
@@WASTOIDSUPREME The E&E expansion got rated for PC by the ESRB more than a year ago. This is evidence there has been at least some effort by R* to anticipate releasing E&E to PC. Whether there was a plan to do so or not is conjecture.

Now, for E&E... My condolences to the Sports class.
Sure would be nice if us PC players could experience the HSW cars...but Rockstar can't make us buy the game again....so we'll never see them.

So, basically, without HSW it's Imorgon Mk II.
Add Imani Tech, and it’s still better than the Imorgon because it can have the ability to take some abuse from stickies to broomstick missiles. Still needs to be tested however.
@@Aquas1998 It doesn't have the armour plating upgrade from Imani tech, like the Monstrociti. It only has RC unit and missile lock-on jammer for Imani tech

I knew watching DCA seeing how good it stuck to the road that this might have been the next best sports car, I didn't think we'd have a new kind of everything.
Issi Sport seems to be still better than the non-HSW La Coureuse in off-road races as the latter has a tendency to spin out on bumpy surfaces.

@@danzo5521 stock suspension, 2nd smallest wing, challenger off-road wheels, full neon under glow and performance mods. Don’t add any pointless body mods like splitters, bumpers, ect.
@@danzo5521 I am aware that not having the lowest suspension may impact its handling, but I think stock suspension is worth as it gives the car a much smoother driving experience when rallying and potentially it’s quicker than having the lowest suspension.

Without having HSW for ALL land land vehicles, racing balancing is throughly ruined in this game.
We need HSW mods for all vehicles now, or else theres not even a point in trying to race with anything else.
with regards to the acceleration, I think it's easier to think of this and the Buffalo EVX as "normal" cars with no engine sound. Almost none of the characteristics typical of electric car handling data are to be found here. That means no hard-capped top speed, so it's not like other cars could claw back time with kerb-boosting because these new EVs can do that too.
I think they should have done it like the Imorgon where you still get that monster acceleration but last time they tried to do another Imorgon we got the Omnis e-GT, which didn't have enough power and didn't have the close ratio gearbox flag so it got to 2nd gear and just _died_
The fact that the Inductor is slower than the Race Bike is so funny to me XDDDDD
With HSW, the La Coureuse is a damn nightmare for the sports class, which justifies its price
On old gen and pc tho, what makes it so cool is being the new king of rally cars and quite the convenient car for a bit of freemode PvE thanks to the bullet-resistant windows (a first on an EV Imani Tech car), the great traction and acceleration, and the handling on dirt
Definitely one of the things carrying this DLC alongside the Raiju. On PC/last gen at least. On next gen, it's so good that it's horrendous for balance

@NoBody-pw3kf it's all tradeoffs really. The Virtue is faster but harder to drive and is less reliable on the dirt, and it has the bulletproof rear window because...well it doesn't have that window
The new french car is a more reliable thing to drive, even moreso on the dirt, and is still quite as fast, tho comparing it to a supercar EV is a bit unfair. I think it has the EV armor bonus, but without armor plating, so it's definitely less reliable against direct hits from explosives which AI doesn't really use too often anyway. It has the bullet resistant windows which provide protection temporarily but in all directions, so the car would be good for mission objectives where you really dont need to slow down or eat bullets too often
I'd say it's pretty solid. The Virtue and the French car whose name I don't feel like spelling or pronouncing definitely are reliable but i see why the Virtue is more preferred more generally. I see something good coming out of the La Coureuse tho, for being so fast in its class, on dirt, and being untouchable to rockets for as long as you drive like hell

I wonder why they felt the need to introduce a new brand with Penaud as their version of Renault? They only just introduced Toundra with the previous update (which represented Alpine, a sub-brand of Renault).

When I saw the non-HSW lap time, I knew what was coming. Despite that, I'm still surprised. Absolutely absurd. It's a shame because the top of the Sports class was actually very balanced before.
Ngl I wasn't paying attention and I thought that was the hsw lap time. I was like not bad then the hsw lap time showed up.
So this car has the fastest lap time because this car is insane when it comes to bumps. Bumps act like speed boosts and I've manged to hit 173mph (with HSW upgrade) just driving around in the city. Any race that involves a lot of bumps or that takes place in the city this car will be king, possibly the best car for HSW time trials
So the La Coureuse is not only the best sports car with HSW installed, it’s possibly one of the many combative cars in free mode that can take some abuse from explosives. All from a Renault 5, a car from 1980 converted into an electric car.
It's like the Monstrociti; there's no imani tech armor plating upgrade for it so it'll still get destroyed easily, it only has the remote control/lock on jammer.

I know this is gonna sound like a lie, but you can do the mid drive speed boost with the hsw upgrade to this car. Even though it's electric. I found out yesterday when I bought it. Try it out!

Go into creator mode, capture, make a random capture, then vehicles, compacts, and check for the Issi Sport. It looks really great but isnt the best at any5hing

Actually, while race bike is faster in terms of normal cycling, BMX's dominate cycle races on most roads because bunny hopping is way faster.

I was going to buy this thing regardless but they made a better driving Issi Sport. Love the Issi Sport and this will make a fine addition to my Rally garage! On PC so even though it isn't the "Best" here I still like it!
This is the best car in the game imo, great handling, it's small, great acceleration, great explosive resistance and good for pvp/freeroam. Also mk2s can't lock on, sadly I'm on pc and don't have access to HSW, that would make it the ultimate car, the fact that it beats open wheel cars in lap times is insane
It was nice when HSW first came out and made old cars relevant like the Banshee and Sentinel XS, but now it’s just for select new cars. Since R* really pushed the FOMO this DLC, giving HSW to removed vehicles would push for sales on those cars.

I still do not get why you need to force the fast vehicle race-line on a slow vehicle, while there is a quicker line for the slower vehicle...
Consistency in testing
Because as soon as you take a drastically different line in a slower vehicle you’re then travelling a different (less) distance and the lap time is no longer comparable to everything else. It’s all about minimising variables, of which the track distance is one. When not following the same lines in a slower vehicle you might as well not be doing the same track.
@@broughy1322 A track is not a half meter wide line, where every vehicle's center of mass should go, or else.... you do not test trains, vs trams vs metros... also you do not test "a racing-line' racability" either, you test vehicles! ...on a given surface area what can be 30-60 meters wide. Only the vehicle's parameters (power, traction, weight and handling on that surface), and the tracklimits should define it's line on that surface, not other factors.
An extreme tank what can accelerate 400-0-400 in 10 ceconds, but can turn only being static on a point will not use a GP bike's lane, and neither would go on the same as a lightweight powerless aero beast, what does not even need to slow down from its own moderate top speed on the sharpest corner. I should be able to compare their time on that given kinda circular surface area because that area's boundaries define the track itself, (walls, placed apex elements etc), what you have to avoid, but yet you have to go around in the fastest way possible between the start/finish. But now you defenetly not doing that.
Either your above confirmed method is is wrong and needs to be changed, or the track should change significantly (to represent the migty "must follow" racing-line more clearly), because now:
The slower the vehicle, the less tracklimited it is > the less tracklimited it is, more significantly off of its own limits (forcibly)>> the less off of its own limit, the more inaccurate is the current listing as "laptimes".
Quickest laps on the fastest car's line? Yes, kinda. Quickest laps on the track? Defenetly no!

The reason why this car is so glued to the road is because its gravity value is 11 compared to the regular value of 9.8. Thus giving the car more traction and "downforce" to handle well.
Kinda checks out tho considering it's inspired by the Group B Renault 5, it may not have a full blown snowplow on the front like audi Quattro for downforce but it's meant to be a high speed off road demon, like everything else in Group B at the time. Too bad they couldn't give it ON road traction loss or something goofy like that
that's a ton of cars with that 20% gravity buff. That alone doesn't make a car grippy

Hey bro, I use your lap times to breakdown vehicles by class in GTA online on Xbox One, since we don’t have HSW it makes it easier. I have all the cars broken into 4 Tiers, and have only made 3 tracks. since you can’t change weather conditions or my “Tiers” I actually have made 24 playable tracks, ones with snow and w/out. Very difficult to get their popularity up, but I’d be honored if you were to test one of them lol

Broughy why do you not use the stock braking technique for open wheel cars? It makes them significantly faster and places them more accurately in your ranking. A very small amount of racers can extract everything from these cars so why not appeal to them with these videos?
For the same reason I don't go out of my way to brake boost and kerb boost with other cars (which would also make them significantly faster too, by probably about the same as the open wheel cars using their own tricks which would then ultimately render the entire ranking the same anyway). It's all about consistency of testing methods.

I mean, balancing older vehicles to be competitive is great but completely destroying a class like this is absolutely ridiculous. It’s so boring when everyone’s in the same car. Rockstar making hsw was a waste of time. People who don't have the hsw cars in every class will turn hsw off in those races, or race with classes that they have the hsw car, and then it will just be everyone in the same car.
If they add the IRL mcMurtry Speirling, get ready for everything else to be obsolete.

HSW should have been for old cars only and to make them balanced with the current top3. So the Jester classic and Elegy custom for example should have HSW to match the gto Italia.
All its done is turn into a scam for a way to charge $4m for a car. This car could have be codded to perform however but no. You buy it then upgrade HSW so they cost $3m+ If they'd have just priced it at that people would have gone nuts. But because its HSW we don't mind.
