Awesome video! Looking forward to my Avanti maiden tomorrow weather permitting. I love how slow the approach is with full flaps. A guy at the field asked me to hand launch his (grass was long) it worked- but just barely!
You are a very good presenter. I loved this video. I have the Avanti too, but mine came with a bad flap servo so I don't use flaps. And I agree, it flies very nice and easy.
That thing looks awesome. I almost joined that club when I lived there.
This Avanti is my new favorite plane. It handles like a dream, and it will do the pattern sportsman class program without too much trouble :p

Well done. Great Job. Great flight. Great Jet. Ordered my Avanti yesterday from Motion RC.
As I tested on my Avanti, you can remove the vertical stabilizers in the wings and the plane will go arround 20-25km/h faster, in exchange for some lateral stability. I managed to reach arround 200 km/h (125mph) with tailwind, but while is no way a slow plane, I found that Eflite Havoc Xe or FMS futura are more suited for top speeds. However, for sport flying and aerobatics, I like the avanti more. It can also fly some precious seconds more. Nice plane, and nice trustable opinions!

thanks for posting. it's "avawnti". italian, for 'forward'. you may know, without a cheater, most scale edf jets do Not provide adequate air to an edf. ie, a 70 mm edf Should have at least 3300 square mm of intake area. flight times would, probably, be 20 percent longer, with correct intake design or modification. cheers
The intakes on this version are huge, a bit bigger even than the ones on the Mini Avanti. My guess would be that they match the surface of the EDF. It's strange though that there is no special EDF version of the Avanti XS, which is sortof a "turbine only", looking at the tiny intake ducts.
thanks for reply. i would not say the intakes are huge. but, surprisingly, on further review, the air supply to and past the fan on this model, does appear to be reasonably well managed. cheers

That's nice to hear, I live in Florida, but nowhere near where it got hit bad, we just got lots of wind, and rain... so much rain... no flooding though.
What on-board cameras are you using?
Had to subscribe after seeing this video. I want to get into the edf jet even though I am an intermediate flyer. Cant decide between the avanti or the F-86 Sabre. Maybe you can sell me this one at a used price and help me make a decision 😁👍
Hah. I have no plans on selling it. I've flown the F-86 as well. It flies very nice, too. I think the Avanti is a bit more aerobatic. But both are easy to fly. You see the new L-39? They claim it is a scale model with Avanti performance.
@@HobbyView I have seen the L-39 but i like more wingspan, and remember I've never flown a jet before sorry more wingspan the better for me. Which do you prefer, the Avanti or the F-86?
I would lean towards the Avanti then. If you can handle a moderately fast low-wing aerobatic prop plane then you should not have a problem with the Avanti.
@@HobbyView yeah, I like the F-86 but I will take your advice and go with the avanti. I love the suspension landing gear on the avanti better too. I have the Eflight SR22 now as my only plane. Getting use to the controls after not flying for 3 yrs but I should be able to handle the Avanti. Thanks again and respect.

hi, I use 4000 60c battery, but with 5000 battery the model is not heavy?
No problem with 5000 battery. All the flights in the video were with Gens Ace 5500mAh battery.
