A world record is usually the best global performance ever recorded and verified in a specific skill or sport. The fact that the vehicle doesn't exist offshore doesn't preclude this from being a world record.
Get a driver that actually leaves with .4 .45 light doesn't hit the limiter in first, tighten the trans making it shift harder and it would be on the mid to high nines I should think. Don't believe me , listen to the sloppy changes and then the limiter pop and he left .104 Sec too late. It all adds up.
Freeflyin Base In this instance possibly not but we have no way of knowing exactly how the timing is set up here, and the timing may not start until 2 conditions are met the beam being made by the tire moving out of it and the green light on. When you get into Heads Up racing R/T will effect your E/T as it will hand your opponent the advantage. Now it will depend on how the timing is set up too, allowing the car to make the rear beam ie deep stage or make the second (Red Light) leave before the green (remember both beams are blocked when correctly staged). Now unless things have changed since I raced the timer starts the instant the green comes on (Side by Side at least) Time trials now may be different. We I drag raced we used our T/T to work on R/T to get the E/T as low as possible when you compare time to your opponent, hence the expression "You Snooze - You Loose" . Now you are saying that R/T has no effect on E/T sorry dude your wrong very wrong as any seasoned Drag racer will tell you, because depending on the car if you shallow stage and launch hard early but not early enough to make the beam then you are actually accelerating before the green and if you do it right you make the beam the instant the light turns green BUT your already accelerating and as a result your E/T WILL be lower. A "Red Light" is always on the cards unfortunately and that's why less experienced racer's generally have slower E/T's because their R/T's are slower.

Not in heads up, handicapped, pro tree, even joes country drag strip with no walls and sheep in the braking area still use the same system. The timers start when the car leaves the line and stop when you cross it. The ET is your elapsed time, the time it takes to leave the start and cross the finish. If you spend 10 secs after the green getting your car onto boost im sure you wont cross the line first but that has no bearing on your et, your race win is not calculated from the fastest et but who crosses the line first that did so within whatever rules are set. Thats why cars with lower et lose races. No seasoned drag racer will tell you your reaction time will effect your et, and staging differently has nothing to do with your reaction time. Once again a slow reaction time never has any bearing on the et, at least not in any series that holds records and keeps track of fastest times.

I am NOT referring specifically to the Driver either, but the R\T of the vehicle as well and that WILL directly effect ET, pure and simple. When I raced my R\T's were in the .5's initially and my average E\T 11.5 for the vehicle I was running , over a period I honed my R\T to .4 - .45 and my E\T 's fell to 10.9 - 11.1 average. R\T Does effect your E\T because the vehicle can be moving before the timers start but the beam NOT broken. So if you can manage to Shallow Stage this allows you to leave Harder and earlier rather than Deep staging, and the vehicle has some inertia BEFORE the beam is actually broken.
Look reaction time and staging are not the same so no need to bring them up, neither the driver hitting the limiter. You may well have had a track that accounted a reaction time into the et, however it would no longer be an elapsed time. An elapsed time is when the vehicle leaves the start line, and crosses and is totally irrelevant to the green light. Please feel free to go onto yellowbullet or other forums and debate the issue there if you think you are so right, im sure there are far more qualified people to tell you otherwise.

Also Its the same shit as the VEs, same running gear maybe some minor adjustments in the tune or the box or the cam but basically the same shit. Break a record with a car that is sold all around the world eg and AMG or something. And no im not hating on Holdens, I own a SS myself.
