Good morning Colette, that is a hilarious story about your daughter and your visit to the eye doctor. It gave me a great laugh. I see you have one of your beautiful coats on. Blessings to you and Patsy. ❤
The best thing that happened,d to me was cataract surgery both eyes. I no longer need glasses. I’m almost 70 and been wearing eyeglasses for distance since I’m 10.
Oh Colette I’m a self prescriber too and have ready readers all over the house but can never find a pair when I want them 🤣🤣 oh the joys ! Oh and my eldest daughter is rather feisty too and we’re all a little scared of her also. 😊
Good Morning Colette. What a lovely humorous story. My last exam left me feeling a bit perturbed, if you will. After the exam the Optometrist told me I needed glasses and my cheaters weren't cutting it anymore. I asked him if I would be a candidate for Lasix eye surgery and he looked at me point blank and said, "Most people YOUR AGE just get glasses." (Snot nosed little brat!) 🤣Needless to say I am still sporting my cheaters. Have a marvelous day and hugs to you and the little Minx. 💚
Colette, I wear 250 as well. I want you to know, I love your stories, the garden, the beautiful vintage clothes, just everything. It takes me out of this world for a moment in time ❤
My husband was able to improve his eyesight by using glasses less( he was shortsighted but not too strong a prescription) the last visit to the optician and he was told he didn’t need them to drive anymore. Castor oil is amazing for reversing cataracts, just applying to eyelids at night.
This is a story after my own heart... Eyes though are important .. @sometimes if you wear readers they can be too strong and that can cause headaches,, which was what I was doing... So I do have prescription glasses I actually like my frames they are cath Kidston floral quite retro ones, which suit my vintage style... So each to their own..I think 😎. You do make me laugh when you laugh😂 and I can relate to the daughter story,,, I too have a grown up daughter who behaves this way also,, so what can we do but laugh it out 🤣🤣🤣
Good Morning Colette! I also have "old" eyes, along with all the other parts! I hope you are keeping that gorgeous jacket you're wearing. I think it's the perfect autumn accessory. Peace and Blessings 🍂🌳🏡
Love how you’re always able to laugh at yourself, and a sense of humour about life is always an asset, and reality is that life itself is too short to spend it being forever serious and sensible, 😉🤣 At almost 79, not only has my eyesight gradually deteriorated, but also my hearing capacity isn’t what it was, so basically, although doing my best to resist the natural physical deteriorations of age, I remain determined to resist as much Bad Pharma as far as possible, in favour of natural alternatives. Indeed I am held together with safety pins and gaffer tape, with a face full of wrinkles & determination to KEEP GOING!! Bright Blessings xx
At least you managed to rouse Patsy from her bed. I saw the earlier post and had a giggle. Laughing at this one too....love from another 'self prescriber.' Xxx
I have quite a few pairs of 2,5 and a couple 3,00 dotted about the place and in handbags.Even though I have had cateract surgery..which was brilliant. I still have one eye that is not as strong as the other when reading.Your daughter sounds like my daughter.Bless their cotton socks though. x
Bo-Selecta glasses 😆🤣, that is just brilliant, thank you for making me laugh so much. Your daughter sounds like me 😆. Mum always knows best 🥰, I love your channel.
Very funny Colette😂 nice that your daughter cares about your eyesight so much❤ I go up a new strength of glasses every year, most annoying thing about ageing apart from the aches & pains, I hate looking down at my blurred plate of dinner😂
Oh Collette you had me in stitches with the glasses sketch You could have been on Talking heads (a program we get in uk ) I agree with you in fact I’m going to get some reading glasses my prescription glasses work fine but I’m bored with the frames I would use my prescription ones for sewing and driving of coarse 😂😂😂xxxx
Funny video. I have been wearing glasses since i was 4. i buried them in the garden. My my dad found them when he was gardening. I dont know how long after, 😊 i had to wear them eversince. I think it was because kids called me bottletops.
I love it when you are laughing.can,t understand so much from your speek( my bad english, sorry) Blessings and Greetings and a big hug to Patsy from Daggy,Kiel,Germany☘☘☘
You have beautiful eyes ! I meant to comment on your lovely wardrobe that you have acquired, Colette, you are a paragon of style ! Fashion ; everyone can possess, but style is innate to your personality. You look very avant- garde today! Cheers!
😂😂🤣😂😅🤓 Self-prescribing likely has saved you 100s of € over the last 20 years AND kept you from becoming “over-prescribed”😊. It’s what we do too. You’re a hoot 🦉, Colette, and so’s your daughter. The confession of fear was most amusing 😄🥰 -V
Good speach ❤❤ it's nice how your daughter is also with you ❤❤good books ❤❤ hope its nice ones ❤❤❤ we can't buy those ❤❤ we are far from you guys❤❤❤ thanks for showing these❤❤ we like to read those ❤❤ today am the first comment ❤❤❤ am happy for it❤❤❤
Lol, your daughter is just showing you she cares ❤ I also use the cheap pound shop reading glasses and some years ago I wondered if they could be doing more harm than good so I went to my optician and asked if they’re ok to use - I was concerned because often one eye can be a different strength to the other (hope that makes sense) I was told it was fine because the cheaper ones aren’t strong enough to cause any harm even if one eye is different so please anyone reading this save your money and don’t worry. Blessings to all xx
Good morning from Canada! Ha ha ha...too funny! You are blessed that you have a lovely daughter who cares enough to look after your well being even if she is a wee bit strident! lol....I imagine she gets her strong headedness from her Mum...! I always find this time of year, in Fall, when the light outside dims that my vision changes. Especially at dusk for some reason. But yes, thanks for the reminder to have my eyes checked. It is that time again. Eye appointments cost the equivalent of almost 100 Euros here, and any glasses bought there can be well over 400 Euros minimum, so since I am retired now, I will be visiting the ones that offer senior specials and discount eyewear! When I was working, I had insurance so it was co-pay for the eyewear, and I could afford snazzy designer ones....now it'll be the cheapo's....LOL! I have a friend who has insurance and who has a new pair of glasses made every 6 months...extravagant!
Thirty or 40 Euros isn't that bad. My last pair cost me over $300 and I had them use my old frames! I need glasses for reading even though after my cateract surgies my optometrist said I now have 20/20 vision. I also carry around a pair of "cheaters" just in case. 🤓
thankyou Colette...another eye symptom of getting older....or so I thought.....Ocular Ros acea.....affects many people....any age (usually over thirty yrs) can get it.....i thought it was age related , its not.. .prescribed antibiotics will help if over the counter medications don"t... I was prescribed doxycycline.(antibiotic)..when it was more severe.
I''ve worn glasses since I was `6, trifocals (progressives) since I was 40 and now have glaucoma (like my grandma and great grandma). Eyes tested every year since turned 16. My glasses are over $600 - Sad thing is there are things close up (needle threading, etc) that I have to take my glasses OFF to see properly now. Yep, age.
"A face like thunder!" LOL

I just recently had both of my eyes done with cataract surgery. A blessing no glasses and everything is bright & beautiful @ 73!!
I love your jacket Collette! Your daughter sounds quite formidable.
Oh Colette I’m a self prescriber too and have ready readers all over the house but can never find a pair when I want them 🤣🤣 oh the joys ! Oh and my eldest daughter is rather feisty too and we’re all a little scared of her also. 😊

lol. You are so funny at times. Age is a B. Shock after my cataract op of all my face lines 😂 why didn’t they tell me. 😊😊
Go keto, take NMN, D3, K2 and resveritol (the Sinclair protocol). Makes you feel decades younger.
Love how you’re always able to laugh at yourself, and a sense of humour about life is always an asset, and reality is that life itself is too short to spend it being forever serious and sensible, 😉🤣

I got a pair of glasses from Specsavers for $40 AUD(about 25 Euros). I hardly use them. I prefer the ones like you're talking about.
Bo-Selecta glasses 😆🤣, that is just brilliant, thank you for making me laugh so much.

Mum always knows best 🥰, I love your channel.
I did go to the eye doctors, and I need cataract surgery in both eyes. I'm scared, but I have no choice

you can't get glasses here where I am in the US for under $100. My glasses cost me almost $300!
I am in Dublin ...paid 350 EURO....GRRRR
Last time I got them they were over $300 more than ten years ago. I can see better out of readers, seriously and they cost so much less.
