In my market they just raised the minimum completion rate to %90 in order to remain active on the platform
Hi Mike,
I was your premium follower before. I was a platinum dasher for a couple years. No issues.
I would like to refer you to C Moto Door dashing,
I'm in East Bay, tier system. It's worth it but as a back up and second or third type of income.
Once it hit the market, had major issues, who I'm: 5.00, 97, 100 and 93 at 4000k deliveries, part time income at 35k before. MBA trained. My area is high income driven with highly dense 4 & 5 star restaurant. Jewelry store orders too.
High issues at induction. Rolling 24 hour order in holding at all times to keep platinum. Too hard to hold, I would have to work everyday.
2, schedule has to used in gold tier at all times, 7 days ahead but scheduling with silver and below tiers. They are already scheduling while in platinum, when account gets to gold teetering from platinum hard to get into que.
Ethical issues, on dash pass. Tried to cancel several months. They depend on these fees even at the 4.99 discount to show share holders a strong line item.
Thanks for your video, keeping in touch 🆕
We are not independent contractors, we are not employees....we are consumables....
Completion rate is effected by restaurants having no penalty for being late consistently...remember we are consumables...even the marketing is set up to blame and use the drivers as a throw away ...acceptance rate is effected by the marketing and business model as well...that reasonable delivery pay is not a "tip" its a reasonable delivery fee
My app solves that problem.
Looks like my DoorDash career may be coming to a close. I have a 9% Acceptance Rate and there is no way I could ever justify accepting enough orders to raise my AR to 50%, let alone 70%. Plus, I currently have a 5.0 driver rating and if I have to accept lots of low-ball offers to improve my AR, my driver rating will inevitably drop because cheapskate customers often rate drivers poorly just for fun and/or in hopes of getting free food.
Yup I heard that. Over 3k orders, and I've maintained Over a 4.90 customer rating. THAT should be the most important rating!
Thats why I started dashing further out and even riding the edge of zones. My stats got better avoiding low income housing.
I took a nap and when I woke up I was no longer able to dash anytime and the only thing that doesn't qualify me for platinum is my customer rating which is like one point off of what you need
I’ll NEVER get close to 70. Way too many lowball offers to get through to get there. Sucks!
This is already in my market in Virginia
30 percent off means your only paying 20 percent more than picking it up yourself
Comparing the actual restaurant prices to door dash prices before you even get to fees and tip is mind numbing
When did dd become the middle man? Order it yourself and go get it.
Can you order take out like Uber eats? That could be worth it.
If it is convenient to pick up your own order it is recommended in life to do so… most deliveries DoorDash provides are for those whom it isn’t convenient or on a food schedule.. if your buying 1 dollar socks complaining it’s cheaper to pickup yourself why not do so quietly since it’s a private thing? Your comment makes it seem as if it important that you publicly gain food.. do you live ina village or small tribe as leader? Trying to find the importance in your
Comment…
So, I got curious and started ordering in person without the apps. You’ll be shell shocked how much money you save. $5 extra everyday adds up. DD and Uber charge way above their restaurant contract prices. 10% would be profitable but no… they are charging hundreds percent above their prices. Just greed.
I’ve made less money since this was introduced in my market several weeks ago and I’ve been in the Platinum Tier.
FACTS
Great way to turn Dashers into customers.
Why would you order Doordash after they fucked you out of money?
Thank you for all your information
Out in Michigan we are being told our photos are too dark when we dash at night. 6 out of 10 deliveries don't turn on their porch light.
thats everywhere not just michigan
I dash in michigan. There is a little lightening bolt on the top right of the screen when I open the camera through the app to compete an order. Click on that and the flash will turn on making your pictures bright as day light.
@@melissablueswomanhensley634 Still makes me take the photo twice.
Get yourself a head flashlight! It's lit up your walking path and blind anyone in front of you (safety at night). Bonus use-lit up the porch and order.😉😁
@@MoBangFoYoBucks No need to, there is a flash option in the cameras, I can take photos in pitch black that come out fine.
Coming to Springfield, MO market on March as well.
Boston is listed as January, but I went to visit family in December and dashed for a couple days and it was already live there at the time
Just got the new program starting March 7th in Phoenix
Just dropped in Knoxville Tn today. I’m platinum. And have sent the pics for my catering bags 🤞
I’m a dasher in Omaha,NE and got the email that DoorDash is piloting this program in our area on 3/7/24 🎉
Way to many low paying orders going to bad parts of town in my area where people call door dash and say they didn't get their food. People going after platinum dasher are just gonna get deactivated after they get too many contract violations because of lying customers. If that wasn't a very real possibility I would consider going after platinum so |I don't lose out on the catering program orders, which I have been in for YEARS.. kinda B S I have to lose out on a program I have been in for years, or risk not even being able to work on the door dash platform.
I always protect myself. Even if it is a hand it to me order I will take a picture with the food in their hand and send it to them through the app. If its an apartment I take a picture of the main address ON the building AND on their door. May take an extra few seconds to snap a photo but I have never had anyone claim to not receive an order yet by covering my butt with plenty of pics.
@@christopherhull1738 Smart, I almost got kicked off of uber eats due to a black lady saying she never got her walmart groceries. There were 3 of them, as I was hauling groceries from my trunk and back seat to the front of the apartment bldg they hauled away the scan sticker and hauled away things way to fast for me to scan and take a pic, they called uber later saying I never delivered there groceries. The young one out of the 3 gave me a dirty look when I was done. I will never forget that being a american that was just trying to make money. Im not racist but I do have prejiduce deep with in. I do not trust them people and because of that I drive far away from section 8 homes.
When my AR starts go too low, i dash per time to bump the rate.
Portland, OR gets it starting March 4.
Kansas City will be getting this soon. I live in Topeka, KS (about 60 miles west), so I wonder if we will be affected since the email was sent to me. The only thing I will miss out on is being able to schedule (at 3PM) six days in advance. I already get mostly crap offers anyway.
Got the email in the Kansas City market, this past weekend.
I got the email last week for Jackson, MS!!
Yes started Dec 5th here in College Station TX
Allentown pa has had it for a few months now. But I don’t dash in Allentown I dash south in quakertown where the RP hasn’t launched as of today. However my stats are higher in Qtown than when I’m in Atown
I received the email (Phoenix area) a few days ago. Praying it won't affect me too much.
Yep I got the email yesterday they're rolling it out in Oregon
Probably just a matter of time before it hits Jacksonville Florida because just got the email for minimum CR of 90 to remain active on the platform
You know anything about NYC … it seems min pay is down from 29 to like 17 … plus a possibility of bonus pay at the end of the week … what is that bonus pay ? Do y know
I am surprised there isn’t a class action lawsuit yet. They got sued and lost once before for trying to make it where you had to take orders to make money. That was when top dasher rolled out. They were told they had to equally offer orders to dashers
We just received our notification today. 4/24
Just call yourself an employee with no benefits if you follow this bullshit pilot program!🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤣
Yup
Worth mentioning, while I have access to large orders in Platinum, you need to have a minimum of 200 orders under your belt. The app never says that, which is frustrating.
6,200+ here and ready for it!
I’m about to hit 200.
Will anything change?
I doubt it😂
Interesting as I use to knock out 30 orders in 1 day, I made a contract violation fall off in 3 days. However now that half my income is from shop n pays I make 20 a day. Every day almost I get a catering order and get high pay shop n pays. But I grind it atleast 10-12hrs a day multi apping, I always bust 1 grand a week easily even during slow times.
My app tells you everything upfront.
Mike I received the same email yesterday. I am in Knoxville TN
Pittsfield Mass. Has it coming in March also
On 2/23 I received an email stating the new Dasher Rewards program goes into effect on 3/7/24 in Portland, Oregon.
How do I get my AR reset please.
30% discount works for pick up orders, so I can just go pick up my own order, and actually pretty ok deal for the things we like to pick up anyway. 🤷🏽♀️
🙋🏽♀️ Have had it where I’m at since December.
I'm in your same market area. I did get the email. Not sure how it will affect me yet.
They just up the completion rating in my area via email to 90% versus 80% to stay on the platform.
@@11bravo80 what do you mean?
I'm not falling for it. If they want to deactivate one of their top dashers who started during the pandemic. So be it. They need to pay their veterans appropriately. People who have been w/ the in the beginning of their market. The real question is what happens if you have a high completion rate but low AR.
Go away! 😂😂😂😂😂 If you have a low AR, you are not a top dasher. Facts! Accept it and move on. Must be at least 70% and best if above 90%. Facts in this day n age. Doesn’t matter how long you been on the platform. Adapt or get another job. DoorDash doesn’t owe cherry pickers anything.
I started in January have had it since day one
I’ll never get my AR up because I keep declining stack orders. Not doing those. Traffic is horrible and the restaurants are slow.
Jackson, MI getting the Pilot Program (Tiered) on 5/7
Got the email for the Little Rock, AR area today
Question why does plat level people need advanced scheduling when they can dash whenever you want?
I highly doubt anyone with a high AR is really making any money. Maybe if you're doing the pay per hour orders?
I make good money but have to work nights. If you are in this program and you aren't platinum you are going to make dirt money. Make 50 bucks in a shift if you are lucky
Say there are 300 drivers hovering around plus. Maybe 50 of them are part time high AR dashers and do get the catering orders and good orders. So lets say they get 45% of them drivers suckered into high AR, then you will start seeing them crying because DD cant reward all them, lets say 220 become top dashers. There is no way you can reward all them, trash will have to be divided up between them and they are back to 18 an hr as top dasher. When I had a high AR i made jack crap, it was 18-22 an hr.
My AR has never dropped below 88%, and I average over $22/hour (all time signed on, not just active time) Dashing mostly only daytime hours. Portland, OR market. Your experience may be different. We all have different experiences. And I never do pay by time because it pays way less, only pays active time, and the tips are less. Pay by offer, and hustling is the way to make money in my area.
Are you dashing in Portland downtown? I do daytime in Beaverton makes around $22/active hour, but it’s kinda slow recently and I spent a lot of time waiting for good orders.
High AR equals big bucks. I know. Ya’ll need to join the crowd! Quit cherry picking n do what’s best for everyone. You’ll be rewarded. Don’t be selfish
I got one in a suburb of the Seattle area.
NO ONE IS GOING TO HAVE A 70% ACCEPTANCE RATE! THIS IS INSANITY! Idk who's coming up with this stuff but they need to go back to 2021
I do. I'm balling.
Earn by time is good in my market. I do it once In a while and get up acceptance rate, then do earn per offer
In our experience where we are once AR is over 70, offer quality is significantly better, so it is a lot easier to stay above 70.
I'm a new subscriber to your channel. I got the letter about the 22nd of february for Kansas City. March 7th is when the new level system starts. I've been at Platinum level for well over 8 months now every day so this means nothing to me I'll be interested to see if I'm actually getting more high paying orders. The 15% discount I never used doordash to eat so it wouldn't matter to me.
I AGREE WITH YOU. I WORK THE SAME AREA AS U .
Why would you think you might get more high paying orders? This is just a new version of the Diamond program. If you meet the requirements you could get catering orders, they would of course be high paying. But for orders that aren't catering, nothing is changing.
Just got the email for this today in Jacksonville, FL. April 24, 2024
Coming to Phoenix AZ in two weeks
I got my email yesterday in Lexington ky
In my market they just raised the minimum completion rate to %90 to remain active on the platform
Same here in Cleveland Ohio markets.
Same, they just did that today in Minnesota, but my completion rate was already at 100%. Now that they reset it, is all my ammunition lost, like if I drop an order today will it drop to 75% lol as of before If I dropped an order it would only drop 1%. So they they reset peoples acceptence rate in some markets and I seen a dasher at 100% and then he declined an order and dropped to75% and declined one more and then dropped to 50% on acceptence rate. This was after the ''reset'' of acceptence rates.
Coming to Portland in march
Columbus OH on March 7
This pilot came to Los Angeles, CA in December of 2023.
Having low AR and depending upon the LOP won't work for much longer. Once they roll out that new rewards program, LOP will be for the new "top dasher" status.
I learned from other dashers in the tiered rewards markets that if you were on the original LOP invite, you'll still get some LOP orders if there's no one else available at the time it gets sent out.
@@PulseScratcherthat's grandfather clause
Not In Vegas yet
Thanks again California we have it
Killing it with spark 🎉DD has too many low offers for tons of miles anymore.
Because all the illegal immigrants using stolen credentials are taking the good rides
Is Spark averaging $30-$60 an hour?
not here in Marietta ,Ga
I'm in Portland I got an email today confirming
I got the email yesterday Indianapolis Indiana
I haven't received the email yet here in Lexington, Ky. I hate that they're going to make it where you have to reach gold status to be able to schedule
You can get early access to the schedule with Silver status. That is according to the DD website.
I just looked and saw that on their website too. I wasn't sure since the screenshot in your video didn't show any perks for silver access.
Coming to PORTLAND Oregon
i doubt it will come to my area, I am in a smaller city in Ky. I cant even get the app on my apple carplay,,,,,,
There's a carplay app? I'm in KY too
I just got the email on this about 4 days ago. My stats are always up there so I'm not too concerned about it
It's posted in Ft Lauderdale
I’m actively doing everything possible to make doordash my least used of all the apps. I’m hoping the new gig rule in a few weeks makes them drop all this bs. But I’m focusing on the other apps that treat us more fair
There is no gig rule, or law, it's merely a suggestion. In other words it seems to have no weight. DD and Uber have both stated it won't change anything.
It's already in California.. we have had it for many months now.. and it's pretty descent..
Phoenix is heading on March 7th.
Do they have any tiers for Dashers like me with a 5% AR?
He'll even like me an 11%er lol
50% is easy to get without even compromising and taking the $3 no tip orders. I am hovering at a 57% AR and make $$$ off the high priority orders and occasionally to stay above 50% I just take a $4 for 1.2miles. Now 70% is hard, I get stonewalled at 58% never get above that. Requires taking way to many terrible orders. High paying orders are far more worth then peak pay. High peak pay means low order volume for me cause all the top dashers and 70%+ are going to take the vast bulk of the orders during peak pay leaving nothing for anyone else lower.
50% is not easy here, you basically have to lose money to get there. About 30% of orders are worth it in this market. I'll even take 3 and 4 dollar orders sometimes, still about impossible to hit 50%. When the rewards program arrives here, I'll lose early access to the schedule. I won't be able to dash without early scheduling, so that will pretty much end it for me.
Got it here in Poconos
After I hit Platinum, keeping up the acceptance rate hasn't been too bad. I cherry pick and rarely need to decline too many offers. I'm hovering around 85%. And a lot of that is because I get a lot of the diamond-logo "high paying offers" (which as we both know aren't always high paying but usually solid).
Obviously we're both working off of anecdotal data, my market place being Los Angeles. It still feels too early to tell if this program is amazing, but honestly I feel confident enough to say that it's not completely worthless in my marketplace. And above all else, it's still feel leagues better than the old top dasher system. So perfect or not, it's progress.
I got an email yesterday saying this is starting in a couple weeks. NE Ohio btw.
Sounds like a bunch of drama, what matters to me is my vehicle and time and what I can make. I once had a high AR and i seen nothing but trash. When I got down to an AR of 38% is when I seen the money. End of story. Now they can change things to make people want to get to that high AR, trust me you cannot have every driver being a top trasher, why? How can you reward all of the drivers>? Whos gonna take the trash? wheres there value in the tier program if you cant reward them all with large orders LOL. CEO Tony Xu makes over 400 million a yr LOL.
I just got the email for Syracuse, NY. I have been able to do larger (catering ) orders, so I'm not too happy to have to hit this criteria. Having to have to choose the bad orders with no tip is like a slap in the face.
A total slap in the face. 🤮
So the wiggle room is still there for unassigning some it looks like. I have a new feature where now if I wait to long I have the option to unassign the order without a penalty. This is different from the one where if you have a stacked order and you are waiting to long the ask you if you want to unassign it. However.. I talked to another dasher during one paticular wait time for an order (she had been waiting along time as well) I asked her if you knew how to unassign under the new setup.. Intrestingly when we took a look she could not.. So I dont know what the difference was.. It could have just been she needed to patch but.. Has anyone else seen this?
Bring it to San Angelo, Texas DoorDash! Please Tony!
My area is starting this on March 7th
Im guessing they will reset lot of drivers. In my area the offer's are just to low.
I dropped down to 18% ar on dash and orders basically stopped coming through. I’m not messing with them anymore.
If orders stop coming through that means you are surrounded by to many dashers. Whether new or top dashers is hence what you are experiencing. I suggest to drive to other zones
I'm in Augusta Ga and I've been a Platinum Dasher since it started and I still get a lot of terrible orders, so I don't know if it is worth it, the only thing I like is being able to dash now and they still keep me busy most of the time.
I'm in Notipusta, GA too. 😂
@@walterlowejr7400Lol They Lied To Us 😂
How is the augusta ga market? Im thinking about moving there soon possible in the gilbert az market as of now
It’s pretty saturated and a large area. They have been having peak pay lately which tends to bring out everyone and even with Premier status you may have to wait a while between deliveries but when the peak pay isn’t active I usually stay busy but I normally only work from 4-9 PM and average around $20-25 an hour without peak pay. I’ve been dashing off and on since 2018 and I’ve seen a lot of changes. Ubereats and GrubHub are both here and Ubereats can keep you busy but you have to filter through a lot of trash orders. GrubHub has lots of high mileage orders but occasionally you can get a decent order but their starting thing where you can only go online when it’s busy or when you’re scheduled which sucks. Hope this helps.
I’m in the Seattle market and just got the email.
I'm in Federal Way, email states the tier system is coming to Bellevue. Just wanting to know if it is just for the city of Bellevue or all of the Seattle area.
@@yentabear I agree, I dash in Puyallup. My email also says Bellevue.
Do you know if they still have the "you can't cash out, til you've done 20 orders"? That's what killed me! I'm spending major money on gas every day!! But I don't get a penny from them, til Tuesday, aka Once a week
Kc missouri is getting this in 2 weeks
It's funny. I can't find an email, but it did come up as a notification in my app
But I just started here in So Cal, LA area a little over a month ago and I feel like this was already a program
Can’t even schedule in advance and am like at the top top it’s crazy
100 deliveries in a rolling month is bs. As a driver that just does weekends many months I don't get to 100
Definitely BS
Their graphic designer should be fired
I know that ohio doesn't have it yet
We just got the one with that they're changing everyone completion rate to 100
Coming to Kansas City March 7th. 😢
I’m in North Pittsburgh and got the email today! Ughhhhhh
Getting the 100 deliveries over a rolling 30 day period has been the most exasperating!!! I was Top Dasher for months until this “new” program started in my market (December 2023).
No more. And as for AR: 1 accepted order does NOT equate to 1% increase in AR BUT 1 order declined equals 1% lower AR
Yesterday, my AR was 79%; I accepted 5 orders and my AR DID NOT CHANGE. Today, I declined 1 and my AR went down 1%.
I will never understand how it works. After 2 years and 3700 deliveries.
your AR will only go Down when you Decline if 100 orders ago you Accepted the order.
your AR will only go Up when you Accept if 100 orders ago you Declined the order.
Their System Is Stupid Smh
My app won't do that to you.
The rewards program made me quit DD and do Walmart spark full time. The reward program is trash you are an employee now. You need to have 100 deliveries total stay in platinum.
You take a day off and you lose deliveries drops you down to gold lol.
The orders you get takes longer. Good look with the reward program it’s horrible.
Memphis Tn metro getting it
Priority access doesnt last super long when U work 10hrs a shift because trash has to go somewhere, if others are gonna reject it then it will come to you. I know a guy locally that has been top dasher 6 times, he now has an AR of 20%
I recently got Platinum status and have been getting terrible orders. Mostly backwards. Multiple no tips and a bunch that aren’t even close to acceptable.
Almost all the orders have taken me out of my zone into the middle of nowhere.
@@jmipre1985 Is it still like that?
So my first couple of days on Platinum were a little rough, but the last couple were mostly good. You certainly are not immune to terrible offers on Platinum status.
Not gunna lie I’ve had this in my area for a WHILE Now like since the fall of 2023 im also in pa but an hour from the capitol.
Milwaukee has it
LA California has it.
