Thanks for the informative video. Question, what did you do next? Did you replant them in a bigger grow bag? (if yes, what was in it?) or did you place it in the ground? (if so how did you arrange the ground? What did you put in it and how deep was the hole you dug?)

Hey Loved your video here on growing Durian. I live in Phoenix in the desert. Just tried Durian!!! I LOVE Durian now. So I took the seeds out and am going to try to grow it using your method. Exciting to see what happens.
Question for you. Do have suggestions on where to buy some seeds as they are crazy expensive one line and hard to find.. ideas. Do you sell seeds ?
I have a food forest with over 100 different varieties of fruit trees. But no Durian yet. 😊

Asian countries have a lot of durian. The price is high and low depending on the variety. Buy seeds from online we do not recommend because to maintain good variety. We suggest buying offline or import grafted plant to replant. The cost is high but will be good return of investment.

If it survive be very patient, durian grow from seeds take 20 to 40 years to fruits.
It can self pollinate but the main pollinator are fruit bats.
Very like like fruits grow from seeds will not have the same variant as the fruit you eat.
If you want you tree to fruits faster, try to get a branch from a tree that fruits before, graft the buds, on the tree that grow from seed, when the graft branch establish, cut of all the branch of the mother tree.
Get the bud from a tree with good quality fruits, this way you can get the same type of variant.
Flowering of Durian in Malaysia is after a few month of dry month.
      Good luck.
When plant is you you need to water it everyday until it a few years old.

Hi, I watched lots of methods to germinate Durian seeds, this is first time I see you cut the end off, what is the reason for doing this ? Would it introduce disease or germs infection ? I am at Perth, Western Australia, have tried for many years importing seeds from China but mainly from relatives in Malaysia. Even through the winter is not that cold, and we don’t need to use heaters, but after around 900 seeds which costs lots of money, the only time I had some success was when I had a hot house, they grow berry but due to subdivision, I dismantled the hot house and all 25 trees die one by one. Just bought four durians grown at Darwin, Australia, all very ripe as their bottom end already opened up. I am trying few methods, three in pot like you, each covered in coke bottles to allow sun light in but maintain high humidity, one seed in small egg incubator with constant 29 degrees centigrade with high humidity, three in sealed takeaway plastic container, with lots of wet tissues, put out in hot summer sun during day time, in my bedroom overnight with bright salt lamp on all night, few minutes n open takeaway container but one third of seed sitting on wet tissues and covers with with tissues on top, in half sun day time and my bedroom overnight, praying for some success as the seeds are from Darwin where winter is as low as 5 degrees centigrade according to the Malaysian owner. I might try to add some rooting hormone tomorrow for the seeds in open takeaway container. I have subscribed and may update in future of my progress, Cheers

Hi my friend.the purpose cut off end seeds is to help first leaves fast and easy germination. We believe durians seeds from China is not fresh because it already in high freezer process to keep the fruits durians during a long time shipping from Malaysia. We recommend the seeds 7 days before seedings. We Malaysian citizens always welcome to tourist for feel and eat fresh durian especially Musang King. In Malaysia also have others good variety durian and you must try to eat. Regarding temperature durians is 30-35°c to get good quality germination or fruit.
