@@AltNovayou are right, his high polearm attack speed means he has very high stagger (though pushing enemies with attacks is a bit bad because the strategy is to fight near your stone stele) add in crescent pike and good artefacts, he can do damage thing is, can f2p players afford investing that much when a claymore user still does more damage even with mediocre artefacts (this is my own experience, i was still leveling up diluc and though he had like 3 gold artefacts that were barely levelled up, and he was lvl70 while zhongli was 80, he did more damage than zhongli did lmaooo

If he is meant to be a support then why does he need a huge amount of investment(+16 or more artifacts) in order to for him to work decently.
@@Kurodo013 From my experience, I feel like Zhongli will work decently fine just by leveling him up and slapping on a good Artifact set. I suspect that the problem might be people not being able to properly invest into Zhongli due to investing heavily into previous characters. Zhongli also looks and feels like a 5 star in my opinion, with the cool looking cinematic and flashy attack animations. His shield looks VERY powerful and using Zhongli’s Burst to guarantee damage from say another character’s Burst looks really cool and effective.

Y'all might not realise it but please do understand that he is a support character. I am personally running him as my dps too but I dont expect great damage for him. If he were to do a lot of damage then Zhongli would simply be the best character in the game being able to provide shields, damage and support. That would defeat the purpose of rolling for any other character
He's a support. The video even calls him that. 6000 hp shield minimum on a 12 second cooldown with a 40 energy stun. Spec him right and you can get a 11,000 plus shield with 35 bonus absorption damage for nearly 15,000 health every 12 seconds with an ult that hits for 15000 without any buffs

@@dullahan3650 While Ningguang can be played as a DPS, she can also be used as a burst support. Her DPS capability unlocks really at C1. Xinyan however, is arguably a DPS, her attack speed is slow and her damage is really low. She's meant to be a shield/burst support. Her c2 makes her an even stronger burst support. And her C6 might enable her to become the first Charged attack claymore DPS, but that requires more testing.

At this point, buffing him like giving his basic attack an additional % dmg from his max health is really a good idea. That way he can be tanky and deal great amount of damage to the enemy even as a support

He scales off HP but he is only for shielding, so what's the point of scaling HP when he's not even in the field. ZL's ult cost 40 energy, but his energy particle regeneration is RNG. Not to mention geo is a trash element to begin with

Y'all might not realise it but please do understand that he is a support character. I am personally running him as my dps too but I dont expect great damage for him. If he were to do a lot of damage then Zhongli would simply be the best character in the game being able to provide shields, damage and support. That would defeat the purpose of rolling for any other character
He's a support. The video even calls him that. 6000 hp shield minimum on a 12 second cooldown with a 40 energy stun. Spec him right and you can get a 11,000 plus shield with 35 bonus absorption damage for nearly 15,000 health every 12 seconds with an ult that hits for 15000 without any buffs

6k shield means nothing in abyss it only protects you from 1 or 2 hits with a 12s cd, his skill animation Is also really long so unless you're fighting only geo enemies you will get interrupted most of the time

Xinyan is a DPS

@@dullahan3650 While Ningguang can be played as a DPS, she can also be used as a burst support. Her DPS capability unlocks really at C1.
Xinyan however, is arguably a DPS, her attack speed is slow and her damage is really low.
She's meant to be a shield/burst support.
Her c2 makes her an even stronger burst support. And her C6 might enable her to become the first Charged attack claymore DPS, but that requires more testing.

At this point, buffing him like giving his basic attack an additional % dmg from his max health is really a good idea. That way he can be tanky and deal great amount of damage to the enemy even as a support
