A PERFECT CAKE FOR EASTER/OLD SCHOOL PINEAPPLE 🍍 POUND CAKE/FRIDAY NIGHT CAKE OF THE WEEK SEGMENT

- OLD SCHOOL PINEAPPLE POUND CAKE
This is another all time favorite pound cake that i enjoy making and eating
its not only easy to make its so so moist
the pineapple adds to the richness and moistness of this cake
A perfect cake for your Easter dinner
RECIPE:
3 Sticks of Butter (Room Temperature)(12 oz)
3 Cups Sugar
5 Eggs (Room Temperature)
3 Cups Cake Flour
1/2 Tsp Baking Powder(add to flour when mixing)
1 Cup Milk (Room Temperature)
1 Can of Crushed Pineapples (DRAINED)(large can ) 20oz)
1 Tsp PINEAPPLE OR ORANGE Flavoring
Cream butter and sugar together until completely incorporated (about 10 minutes)
slowly add eggs one at a time until smooth
add flavoring,
add milk and flour alternating
start with flour and end with flour
mix until just smooth(dont over mix)
fold in pineapple and mix in
pour in greased tube cake pan and cook
325 degrees for 1 hour 15 minutes
check cake after 45 minutes to assure its not over cooking
every oven is different
cake is done when tooth pick comes out clean after inserted in middle of cake
FOR CREAM CHEESE GLAZE
2 cups Powdered Sugar
2 oz Cream Cheese
1 tsp pineapple or orange extract
Pineapple Juice or milk as needed (about 3 tablespoons)
mix cream cheese until smooth
add sugar and mix together
add flavor and juice little at a time until the glaze is smooth
pour over slightly cool/warm cake
ENJOY

Ohhh Chef I helped my daughter make this cake for her job bake off. It was her first cake from scratch. It came out delicious. The staff went crazy over it. It was the best. Thank you thank you for this fabulous recipe and instructions. I finally was able to get the sugar and butter to look like it does in your videos. I wish you would come out with a recipe book. I have learned So Much from You, Chef Jeffrey! I shied away from baking, because, as I’ve learned from you, everything at room temperature; add ingredients slowly; cream butter and sugar until Fluffy; alternate flour and wet ingredients, beginning with flour first and ending with flour last! I baked it yesterday evening and there is one slice left. My mother had one bite and asked for another slice immediately. Thank you so much for this fluffy, moist, soft,light, full of flavor pineapple poundcake. This is going in my permanent recipe book. It even makes the iconic moist sound when you cut into it. I had full fat buttermilk that I wanted to use up so I used that instead of milk and I didn't have all your extracts so I used vanilla bean paste and a little extra pineapple juice. I skipped the glaze this time. It turned out amazing. Thanks for sharing such a phenomenal recipe. 💜💜💜
