After varnishing, rubbing down, varnishing for years I finally reverted to wood stain which I found stood up to the rigours of the weather Far better than varnish and lasts longer. I still admire your tiller though but no longer have the patience to emulate it!!!
Interesting, I did debate (with myself) about using oil or stain - I chickened out! That said, now I've done the tiller, benches and thwart, it makes the rest of the wood look awful so I will tackling those next, I may well adopt your idea and see how I get on :) - Thanks for watching, much appreciated.
Well done Simon 👌👍
Thank you :)
Being an old stingy bugger, I would have just relaminated the delaminated old one! Nice video, thanks for sharing!
Ha! I will actually relaminate the old one but needed one to use while I do so,when I’ve finished I’ll have a spare tiller! 🤓
Nice result.
Thanks, I’m pleased with the result and it feels really sturdy too. Thanks for watching.😊
Great work and presentation. Well done 😊 Sail safe !
Thanks :)
