My first exposure to Moon Knight and it's such a mind fuck. They are really playing his "is he insane or not" thing for a while though. I hope there is a pay off eventually.

I remember five years ago when i watched this video and its what got me further into moonknight. Now its really amazing to comeback and see that this story has been adapted to live action and how far the channel has come.

We could talk forever about which character is a ripoff of which other, I don't really care, Moon Knight was always one of my favorites and his schizophrenia makes him one of the most interesting characters ever in this art form.

Cory Fountain 4 Avengers travelled to the past due to an incident. Captain America, Hawkeye, Mockingbird and I think another one. They eventually returned to the present, but Clint Barton designed Moon Knights weapons. Like the cresent darts.
Khonshu is not one of the "elder gods" who were the first dwellers of Earth, he is from another dimension, more like Hoggoth,Dormmamu and Shuma-Gorath, but less powerful.

But Khonshu captured the demigorge, Ra, that pretty overpowered.
this is where it gets fun.
Khonsu was with aten.
up north, where our noses are cold and sinuses clogged, he becomes odin.
down south, in egypt, where only the crowned crow remains of all the corvids, aten had crows as well.
they were defaced. at some point aten and them got the boot.
kohonsu and thoth stuck around.
but their pictographs had been defaced.
only the ridge of the beak remains.
so when egypt comes around again, the defaced crows become ibis and kite.
khonsu became the kite.
thus the continued association with crocodile. they hang together in those places where the river grows flat, and the bodies pile up with al the things abandoned to it up river.
those are the old gods. the gods that taught us to speak, and to reap grin with blade. names have been changed to fit the retcon. and marvel didn't invent that.
and when mired in the pits of the midden, of all the creatures that gather there to feast?
is there one you can call out to?
well, if there are crows, it all comes down to your relationship with crows.
and ravens.
show some coin, and a crow may take the bribe and go for help.
but the birds have been watching you your whole life.
so as you lay dying call to them, tell them your story, why you deserve to live.
"cool, cool." says the crow.
The crows left egypt with their gods. kicked out, and replaced by poseurs, who by the time of alexander were less significant than our comic book characters, and no longer had any connection to the animal spirits that inspired them.
He is a Batman + The Question + Roarschach + Punisher + Daredevil..

I only liked Moon Knight at first cause he had a cool costume, but Marvel NOW!(1st one) onwards have made him so cool without having to be ultra violent like the 2006 run. Loved Warren's badass Mr Knight, and love Lemire's mind boggling run so far.

Disney Plus apparently starting with the new season of Daredevil will have a "Content Rating ID" switch where it will be for those wanting the uncensored version. They're still developing it atm. Today there's an article about it.

Ammut and Seth made a big mistake with the illusion. They said Moon Knight was a separate person from Steven Grant, but also that Steven Grant made up Moon Knight. If he had the idea from childhood, how did he know the details that would perfectly match a vigilante that would later exist?

OT: Is Moon Knight now Magical/Mystical or is he just a Batman-type moves amongst the Mythical Egyptian Realm? I've always been curious about the base and root of Moon Knight's powers and abilities.
I'm pretty sure he doesn't have powers, just some gadgets and being able to see those pyramids and sand and all that.
RJ Foyles It depends, sometimes he had mystic artifacts and minor sorcery skills, sometimes he is just a regular guy who is the pawn of Egyptian gods. He has been handled very differently multiple times throughout the years.
Diego García Not sure about the new moon knight. But the old one uses to have super strength and he could resurrect himself. But he lost those powers eventually in the old timeline

Marc Spector is an expert martial artist, expert strategist, expert marksman. With Khonshu's powers he has super strength, enhanced speed, durability, agility, healing factor, resurrection and prophetic visions. He also has many gadgets and unlimited money. Moon Knight has all his powers and skills again except super strength. Why I only consider Marvel now and all new all different moon knight as canon.
Loved it, Smallwood's art is top notch! Vision and Moon Knight were a light in a dark marvel year.

Michael Rodriguez that's a great point. Personally I have no issue with the plot twists as long as they serve a story. The value of those twists is lost though if you get to the point where the writer is just screwing with the readers, using cheap story telling gimmicks to keep you reading but not really guiding you to the truth of a story. So far I have followed this arc with pleasure, I think it's a great work in may ways, but if they half wrap it in the end, if they pull a "Lost" on me, I'll be very disappointed. There was a time when writers cared about the audience and actually had something to say, here's hoping this arc doesn't underestimate the fan base as so often is the case nowadays.
well it's just volume 1 of the series though, so hopefully we'll get some answers along the way. or maybe not.
personally though, i hope we won't get the whole picture.

Finally! I love Moon Knight. He has been my favorite character for years. He's so dark, deep, psychological and interesting. His books make up 95% of my collection and I have always wanted others to realize the depth of this character. So many people see the similarities between MK and Batman and throw him away as a copy. Great character, great stories! I love the homage they made at 26:30. That depiction of MK saving her is a homage to the cover of Marvel Preview #21, a really early MK story!
Just wait till thousands of people say they like him once the tv show comes out, same thing happened to me and deadpool when it came out.

Man I love your excitement throughout this. It's awesome. The story sounds great. I've always loved the idea of his different personalities and mental instability being a focal point rather than him just being a batman knockoff. So this sound really cool. I wonder if this is something they're testing as a concept they might take to the big screen or Netflix. That could be interesting.

I thought the same thing. This story has so many of the same beats as season 1 of Legion. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a big inspiration for Noah Hawley.

I can tell you really wanted to cover this run because in your first moon knight video, you sounded like you rather be anywhere else other than doing that video. batman is a rip off of The Shadow by Dell comics. dc went a step further and ripped off moon knight when they made azrael. it's hilarious that dc fans hate on moon knight for being the "rip off"

The shadow is a copycat of the crimson avenger by DC, batmans safe, plus batmans first appearence was him in a red costume with batwings just like crimson avenger.
