Nice reaction bro. I'm gonna suggest this as your next Jinjer reaction, and that song is "Pit of Conciousness", which happens to be my favorite Jinjer song. You should do the official video, and the live version in Kiev/Kyiv as a double feature because they are both fantastic. Peace and as always, stay Metal. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🎶🎶🎶
Great reaction! Yes, I would say live over studio for a first listen for most of their songs. There are a couple of exceptions. I would like to recommend "Pit of Consciousness" live in Kiev. The official video is great as well, but that live performance is so powerful. So if you like the song, be sure to check out the official on your own, or better yet do a double feature if you have the time.
The live versions aren't just a bit different to the studio versions, but also different between the various live versions. She's just playful and improvises a lot between the various tours and shows. She only has a little bit of formal vocal training (for clean singing), everything else is pretty much self taught - her breath control is insane though, but that is also kind of needed when you want to growl like that.
Like the time she makes her growl sound evil when she says "rise to live again" is something she hasn't done in any show before or since that I've seen. Or in Sit Stay Roll Over from Gas Monkey (live in Melbourne is better all around) she does I think it is called a scoop from medium growl, to medium-low, to medium high in one breath. Never seen that before or since. And the Melbourne version she does a low growls section which she doesn't do as much in that song usually.
@@j.f.fisher5318 Or the slight lyrical change in Perennial during the live shows, which I completely forgot to mention this time. The original studio version repeats "no we're not dead" a second time, while live she changes the second one to "no you're not dead", directly addressing the crowd. You can definitely see some repeated choreography between shows of the same tour though, so there is definitely some thought put into it too.
You mentioned longevity when talking about the way Tati sings and screams. In 2019 when this was performed, they played just over 150 shows and recorded the Macro album.
...including a North American tour of 42 over an hour headlining shows in 60 days. And there is video of her crushing growls from 2008 before she even joined Jinjer.
Nice One mate😂🤘 For live try "on top" live in Kiev, "cloud factory" live, "Who is gonna be the One" live, "captain clock" live ressurection fest really dope also🤘 subscriber

Well about your written question... No classical training, no vocal lessons, not even warm up before shows 🤯 You are going to love 'Who is gonna be the one'(live)
YES!!! Jinjer live is always incredible, but "Who is gonna be the one" is one of their best live videos! This one shows them in the first song of their set, and Tatiana's energy is amazing!
Nicely done big guy. Now that you’ve done just about all of Jinjers’ songs that everyone, their grandma, their step brother from a third marriage, and 5th cousin that’s been dead for 16 years always requests; how about the next time you get around to doing another one of their songs you do one that is in Tatianas’ top 2 favorites. It’s “I Speak Astronomy” (Official video). It’s pretty epic and I think you would agree. Anyway keep doing what you’re doing and beware the ending of that song.
Fun Fact for you: according to Tatiana herself, everything she does in the studio is usually first take (except for the harmonies, double tracking of certain parts and additional screams in different pitches, of course). In Macro's case, it was even more astonishing because she wrote the lyrics on the spot and recorded the vocals without any rehearsals, so much so that when they were rehearsing the set list for the following tour she had to "learn" all the vocal parts from scratch because they were mostly improvised in the studio and she couldn't remember many of the things she did. : ) 3:00 - Just wait for it, you spoke too soon. ; ) 4:00 - Nope. She had a few vocal lessons but the rest was completely self-taught.
Both Tatiana and Eugene have talked about it. Eugene says she improvised the vocal composition, Tati was less charitable saying "I wasn't prepared" haha. She likes improvising. I feel like the guys are an epitome of order who hate to improvize while Tati is an agent of chaos who would rather just sing whatever she wants every night, and the combination of those two forces is epic.
Good reaction man! You didn´t mess up anything really, some Jinjer songs are just even better live but of course you can´t guess wich ones... Just follow the recomendations, people often say wich ones you should do live or not. I´ll leave my suggestion open: try the amazing "Retrospection", the official video or the live in Melbourne version, they are both great so you choose.....or even better, you could do a double feauture to compare them :)
You've done pretty good, IMO. Perennial has a great video obviously, but this overshadows it. Teacher Teacher's concert video is good but the official video is beloved. Home Back and The Prophecy don't have official concert videos, and the official to Home Back is so darn good. So no reason to backtrack on those, imo. The other Jinjer songs with incredibly popular official videos and either no concert video or where the official is so good the concert performance can't overshadow it are I Speak Astronomy and Retrospection. Some might argue Sit Stay Roll Over but IMO the live in Melbourne is better. Most would probably say Cloud Factory live is better but IMO the studio is better. Outlander is a special case where a non-official video released by the channel "Failure .Color" is by far the most popular, though I love the official live because of Tatiana's interaction with a fan on stage seems to say a lot about her as a person and performer. Judgement & Punishment is another special case where Tati's one-take vocal video has outshined both the official and live in Melbourne. I think pretty much everything else if there is an official live from Napalm Records, Jinjer Metal Band (or in the case of Captain Clock the Resurrection Fest venue) those are the most popular videos. There are a number where both the official and live versions are great and some channels have done double features with both.
@Learn more no worries. Yeah, the live has Vlad on drums, the growls are clearer on the studio. I love how they did the video but Tati in front of a crowd is always epic.
@Learn more That part here just hits so much better in the official video imo: "The threat to the Universe Dangerous, continuous We won't ever Save ourselves So much effort Was wasted away" So I prefer the studio one, but I like both and would recommend both if someone is willing to do them both as well.
@Diesel On Radio That's because that's what an actual REAL mosh pit is. It is NOT running in circles. The real mosh pit is running into each other. Really wish people would learn the difference.
