I’m 50 years old and have just discovered Rhoda for the very first time….had never seen one episode. This show is so good! It’s really funny, heartwarming, and true to life. It’s become a little ray of sunlight in my life.
Penny, same here. Although I had heard of the show, I never watched it when I was young (I'm your age). I just binged the series and really enjoyed it. Very bittersweet.
Same here! Just discovered and I was amazed to know that Carl is the voice of Garfield and Brenda is Marge Simpson! Anyway does the show have a finale? Does Rhoda finds love again? I was so upset she got divorced.
I'm probably one of the few guys who actually liked Valerie Harper more than Mary Tyler Moore. I'm still a big fan of that series and I prefer Rhoda to Mary.
I think Rhonda was the greatest. After she lost all the weight. She looks so great. They change her hair style. I love her clothes. I always love the show.
It's sad how they canceled Sally. She was a great host. Valerie was in league all her own. I can't think of anyone like her in Hollywood. Beautiful, smart, and classy. RIP. Beautiful lady.
Valerie Harper is one of the most positive people on Earth. She has brain cancer, and yet she's upbeat. I feel terrible about Mary. It seems she'd been going downhill for a long time.
Yeah, but Harper has another edge that less fortunate individuals lack -- a husband who's a personal trainer by trade, who makes sure she eats right on a daily basis and exercises regularly and drives her everywhere she needs to go, etc.
Dave…Mary had Parkinson’s and that is and was (probably for the foreseeable future) a death sentence and trust me, having a father who was diagnosed with this… these people are struggling with their faculties.
For some reason, they aren't showing the old shows. Sometimes I think it is intentional, because they don't want the younger generations to know that people can have a different set of values than the ones being pushed now.
It was the 70s Feminist culture which despised males (can you imagine one of those with a son?). All those feminists who loved seeing Rhoda surviving and striving without a husband would've been ticked off and they would've stopped watching the series.
@@marinazagrai1623 I don't understand your comment. Rhoda having a husband should have been no surprise to any of those "feminists" as her wedding occurred in the 7th show of the first season and then went on to be one of the most popular shows on TV. So if anyone was unhappy about her being married, they shouldn't have watched from the very beginning, not waited 3 years to become disgruntled.
@@fscap811 I didn’t try to imply that this was sane…meaning normal. What I’ve heard was (interviews etal) from feminists of that era) that the true feminists didn’t want to have anything to do with the male gender.
@@marinazagrai1623 I understand what you mean. I guess getting married and all the associated traditional things probably annoyed women who rejected those things. Thanks for your reply :)
@@fscap811 Ijust didn’t explain better…my mom saw first hand what feminism meant for women who didn’t live in the US. I grew up in Communism and my mom was born right before it arrived. I have to explain this…when Communism arrived, the Party was in charge of propaganda (Goebels would have learned from these guys)…everybody has to work so socialism can show up Capitalism. So when Feminism arrived it was really old news because there had already been a generation of kids who didn’t see their mothers because they had double duty with the family and their work. Sorry to go on…

Mary Tyler Moore was beautiful too but OMG who wouldn’t want to look like Valarie Harper either?! They down played her beauty and her figure- they just didn’t dress her to accentuate what she had going on!!
I worked in the hospitality industry for years. Valerie Harper was by far the kindest, genuinely nice profesional celebrity I ever had met. ❤

MTM didn't produce bad shows.
Same here! Just discovered and I was amazed to know that Carl is the voice of Garfield and Brenda is Marge Simpson! Anyway does the show have a finale? Does Rhoda finds love again? I was so upset she got divorced.
Valerie Harper was beautiful inside and out. She was my boyhood crush. RIP Beautiful.
RIP Valerie.... thank you for the laughs
RIP Valerie Harper, you were great
Valerie Harper is 56 years old here and damn she looks good.
Afam…she was part Italian and they keep their looks!
Yup, lovely, sophisticated, natural and her age.
Valerie Harper...one of a kind...perfect
Loved Rhoda rip beautiful Valerie😔🇨🇦🇨🇦
A true sweetheart as always, she looked absolutely amazing here. I met her in 1992, so warm and lovely! =-)
Valerie must have been in her mid fifties when she did this show. She still looked very attractive for a mature woman.
I'm probably one of the few guys who actually liked Valerie Harper more than Mary Tyler Moore. I'm still a big fan of that series and I prefer Rhoda to Mary.
Poor Valerie. A sad and terrible ending for a beautiful person
She died at 80 years old after a very full and successful life. She isn't some tragic figure and doesn't need anybody's pity.
She was and is stunning.
❣⚘RIP beautiful lady⚘❣
MeTV is bringing back all the classic shows.
I have this on VHS. I use to record everything
Me too i recorded things i never thought would end up on tV land
I loved the Rhoda show!!
It always fascinates me that Valerie Harper doesn't actually speak with Rhoda's New York accent.
such a legend loved her on rhoda
I love this ... she's so nice about Mary
I love them both with all my heart!
Rhoda ! Rules!!!
Rhoda was so kind and Jews are caring as far as I know . They have the sanctity of LIFE ! Am Yisrael Chai from Canada 2024
So beautiful
Im still so sad Valerie only got to live to 80 yrs old she was so beautiful inside and out!😢💐⭐💕💕💕💕💕📺
80 is longer than most.
Thank you so much for posting! You're the best!
Sad to think that Julie will be the only surviving member of the cast...still heartbroken about Valerie...
She just died yesterday, August 30, 2019.
I think Rhonda was the greatest. After she lost all the weight. She looks so great. They change her hair style. I love her clothes. I always love the show.
Pam Hi: "Rhonda"!! smh
It's sad how they canceled Sally. She was a great host.
Valerie was in league all her own. I can't think of anyone like her in Hollywood. Beautiful, smart, and classy. RIP. Beautiful lady.
Truly wonderful.
Miss you Valarie
R.I.P Valerie
brilliant
Valerie reminds me a lot of Erin Gray. She has similar eyes and a similar smile.... LOL
I see that, too; now that you mention it.

Idiots judging lifetime diabetic.
My Name is Rhoda
So strange..... 25 years after Sally Jesse had this program, virtually no-one around the globe is even aware of a Rhoda television show. Amazing!!
For some reason, they aren't showing the old shows. Sometimes I think it is intentional, because they don't want the younger generations to know that people can have a different set of values than the ones being pushed now.
Their loss, Brenda Morgenstern still working on The Simpsons.
🙏🏽♥️
When does Lorenzo Music show up?
I LOVED this show, I watched and rewatched these on You Tube. I just always hated when Joe was written off!

The Clarences love & support "Rhoda"!
Julie Kavner wasn't on this reunion special???
Julie Kavner hated being on the show and her husband wrote it along with Lorenzo Music aka Carlton your doorman.

Rhoda held her own once she left MTM...enjoyed her series except for the Joe storyline.
will part 2 be up any time soon?
Back when N@N was good.
I wish it wouldn’t have ended the way it did. I wanted to see Brenda married. She was going to marry Benny n it never happened. So disappointing.
Didnt have brenda on🥺
Julie Kavner is not a fan of making television or talk show appearances.
are you kidding??!! lol
What?! What a waste of my time!
