I have two questions. I just found your channel today. Anyways 1. Knowing what you know now would you have join a different branch? Also. you mentioned in a much earlier video you completely switched branches during the process. What branch was you gonna join and why didn't you pursue that branch?

Brace yourself this is going to be a lot!
I was going to join the navy. For years that was my plan. My cousin is in the army and told me one day to speak to an Army recruiter, just to hear them out. I was already in processing with the Navy so I only went to make my cousin happy. The army recruiter asked me two questions. 1. Do you have a job? (I did) and 2. Do you like going home after you get off work? (Obviously lol) his point was that in the navy there are a lot of long deployments. You could spend over 6 months on the ship and when your “shift” is over you’re still at work because you can’t leave the ship. I realized in that moment I didn’t want to live like that. Also when I opened my eyes to what the army had to offer I realized that they had a larger variety of jobs than the navy. I wanted a public affairs job and the Navy only had 1, which they told me would be nearly impossible to get, and the Army had about 4 public affairs jobs and the recruiter told me he would fight to get me any job I wanted (It helped that I had a good ASVAB score). And honestly some days I would much rather be in the navy because it’s “easier,” but I like that the Army challenges me. I love that my battle buddies have always had my back from day one. Before I joined I was never into outdoor activities and now it’s literally my job to spend time outside and survive off of the land in a way. It’s made me stronger. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done but I would choose army over and over again if I could go back in time.

My dream was to work for myself, that’s why I started a UA-cam channel. The military takes up a lot of my time but new videos will be back next month. Thanks for watching!
